Beautiful, historic theater with murals on the walls. Popcorn was so delicious and everyone is so friendly.

If I had a lot of money and I never had to work again, I would create a place like Lazy Moon Ranch,…read moreand I would be forever happy. Just a place where animals can live out their lives in peace, and where every day is Halloween, with a barn that's been converted to a haunted house, and an outdoor space full of games and fun surprises around every corner. A place outside where you can create art with the farm animals who live with you, and just be surrounded by color and zaniness. A visit to Lazy Moon Ranch is a must if you're in the Augusta area. You'll have a lot of fun playing wall ball, disc golf, playing on the playground, fishing in the fishing hole, racing ducks and lots more. There are animals everywhere that you can interact with. (Feed a capybara or pygmy goat!) Pet a donkey! Watch a tortoise go from one house to another. It's hard to describe Lazy Moon Ranch, but it reminds me a lot of Pee-wee's Playhouse: there's something interesting to look at around every corner. One of the things that Lazy Moon Ranch specializes in is painting parties, where you can paint with alpacas. I didn't know what to expect with this activity, because I'm always wary of animals, but the alpacas are very gentle and tame, and the painting activity is structured enough that it put me at ease. Our instructor, the owner, is an artist herself, so she made the painting lesson easy to follow and fun. I walked away with a really cool painting! Afterward, you can feed the alpacas. Lazy Moon Ranch also celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. You can tell from the haunted house they have in their barn, and all of the Halloween decorations everywhere. This is the place for any Halloween lover to visit, for sure. This is one of those places where it's difficult to describe just how great it is, because you need to visit to experience it. So: Just visit Lazy Moon Ranch! It will probably be one of the most unique and memorable places you have ever visited.

The sets were well done and full of character. The whole performance had us smiling. It was a great take on the now classic movie. The theatre seating is intimate, I can't say there's a bad seat in the house. The concessions were tasty and affordable. The seats themselves are not incredibly comfortable but there was plenty of legroom. My one note of caution is that the theatre is in the middle of an area very heavy populated by the homeless community. Overall, a great experience and a wonderful display of local theatre!

Highest recommendation for Forum Theatre, Wichita. Their…read moreproduction of Titanic was, I have to say, EPIC. I don't use that word lightly. Large cast, nearly 30, costumes incredible from 1st class, long ball gowns & tiaras, 2nd class, the wanna-be's wearing their cheaper finery, and 3rd class hopefuls, traveling with nothing but hopes & dreams for a future. The Titanic staff & crew equally perfectly attired, (ie.number of brass buttons on captains jacket). Stage set, huge open stairways leading to upper decks, to lowest engine room where the stoker "shoveled" coal into red-glowing lighted, really smoking, fire pits. Amazing! But it is the singing and yes dancing, but the voices which carried the story, each word of song perfectly understood. We met the characters, true to real life, and hoped & dreamed with them, learned to love and hate some, as the true details played out. The Tony award winning score made us laugh, then wish for a different ending. We hoped for each, as we listened & watched. We cried for the strength & courage of these men & women, and cheered through tears after the final song. Bravo Forum! Can't wait for your November 5 2022 show, Words & Music of Diana Ross.

As for what to say about the dinner, (I use that term loosely) my mother told me if I didn't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all! Well...I don't listen to my mother. First, the buffet was served to you only after standing in a line that wrapped around the theater like you were standing in line in a prison or a sad cafeteria, except the food and service at the Crown was worse. The "meal" started with some over cooked mystery meat and a dried up piece of chicken meat (not sure what part of the chicken it was) some mushy vegetables that had the piss cooked out of them, some mashed potatoes that tasted like paste, a cold roll w/cold butter and a salad, no wait...it was just lettuce. To top it all off...it was served on a paper plate. And not one of the the "good" paper plates, one of the plates that can't hold much food without collapsing. But that's ok, because the serving was minimal at best. We only were able to eat part of the "food" and ended up throwing it out in the convenient trash cans spread out around the theater. The show was fantastic and we really enjoyed the performances. The talent of the singing and dancing was very impressive. While we sat in the front row, there didn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. Well, except for the seats on the far left side of the theater, where everyone stands in line to get the incredibly bad meal. If you have seat in this section you will have people standing all around you before the show starts. The bar was quick and attentive with the ability to order from your seat before the show starts and at intermission. They should have more of the food listed on the menu available, but then people would forgo the "dinner". Believe me a frozen pizza, a pretzel or some popcorn from the bar would have been better. My advice to Max Wilson and the other leadership of the theater, you have a GREAT group of performers, shows, venue and volunteers, but you MUST find a better caterer! If you need to, charge a little more and improve the dinning experience that's ok. It would be worth it to complete the experience. That all said, we will be back to see a show, maybe even Elvis in January, but it won't be for dinner. 5 stars for the performances and performers, but 0 stars for the food!

We have been for several years, and I can't believe I haven't posted a review until now. The wait staff is amazing. They are always so attentive. We have the meal option before the show, which is hard to beat, especially in the old town district of Wichita on a Friday or Saturday night. Let alone the Sunday brunch. The shows tend to vary, some are great, some are OK, but we always have fun. We've gotten to know some of the cast, albeit they have never met us. We have our favorites, Kyle, Scott, Julia, Sarah. Dacia is amazing! It's never a bad day. If you're looking for some entertainment and a night out on the town, this is the place to go. Parking across the street is convenient, and I'm not kidding, the wait staff is great. They take care of you through the whole show. Very reasonably priced for what you receive. I can't recommend enough.
