The judge in court that day even took note on which clients Mr Mayer was defending as a Public Defender and which were the higher paying clients. To say that Robert Mayer is an incompetent lazy attorney would be an understatement, I feel having a tree stump next to me in court that day would have done a better job on my behalf. At no point do I feel Robert Mayer upheld his New Jersey Bar Association "Lawyers Pledge" or provided me with an even remotely competent defense. Robert Mayer will proudly tell you he receives a salary from Pequannock Township and in my opinion he has the towns best interests first and his clients a distant 2nd.
