Korea has it very own distinctive palate which includes delicious little side dishes of seasoned and fermented veggies, meat, soups, stews and of course the famous kimchi. The place to go and have your tastebuds tickled is Gamasot on the corner of the Pannekoekstraat. A husband and wife team greet you happily and welcome you into their little piece of Korea. Traditional posters on the wall, booklets about the food culture on display, you can learn a lot while you eat! So yes, the food.. Thank god, no over complicated menu, just 14 dishes to choose from and all freshly cooked by mr and mrs..
They do take away which is fine for their pot-noodles but take a seat if you order their signature item the bibimbap; a tray of small dishes which you combine in a bowl like painting your own picture! Number 10 on the menu, the pancake, is my guilty pleasure and is great for sharing. Order the seafood version and have it with a small kimnchi portion on the side.
