It would be like walking into a bar in Tulsa, Oklahoma and seeing people tangoing. Crowd was full of middle aged divorcee swagger. You know the types, and you know the dance moves. Especially to Shania Twain. "Whooo!" Over the course of the evening, music improved. I vaguely recall "My Sharona" after a few drinks. Or maybe it was still an ode to "My Shania". That notwithstanding; the scene is plush and the drinks delicious. Upscale BA, I'm sure the scene is a bit "hipper" on the weekends. The Faena itself is not to be missed.

The trio playing this night was doing a "big band" theme so basically playing covers of other past greats. Wish there was more originality. Again, each individual was skilled but Jazz is more than putting together 3 or 4 skilled instrumentalists. So for BA this may be a 5 star venue but perhaps my experience was disappointing given I expected more on a Saturday night.

I was wondering if it was even open. However, there was a delicious aroma of fresh baked bread, which was a little strange considering it was night time. The owner was a very nice guy, and very conversational too. He mentioned that he usually had more customers, but there was a food festival that night. After we were seated, we decided to try a tasting of 3 different pours, and each pour was quite generous. It was actually a nice atmosphere, except for the slightly creepy, pitch dark staircase to the bathroom upstairs.
