He then proceeded to aggressively ream me out for letting another mechanic change my oil. It was very controlling and creepy. His volatile and controlling behavior was shocking and made me hope that he does not treat his loved ones and his employees in this abusive way. It was New Year's Eve, and I was worried that nobody would be open, and we would be without a vehicle until as long as Tuesday, making us late getting home. I tried to find a shop we could get to, that was open at 2PM. Not only were these guys open, but they agreed to try to fit us in if they could. They repaired our vehicle in around 2 hours. Being a tourist, I was concerned about what they would charge us for this emergency service, but I really didn't have a choice. The mechanic was truly a gentleman. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done, only fixed what we needed fixed, and their rates we definitely reasonable. They turned a bad day and horrible situation into something manageable, and we were able to continue on and have a great night. I'm not a local, and I doubt I will be back, but I wish everyone conducted their business with as much kindness and class as these guys.
