The service folks here saved our butts. Waking up from our hotel in Pasadena on the second leg of a road trip, we found our AC malfunctioning and the ol' check engine light on. Not really knowing the area, we just Googled "Audi Dealers" and rolled in at 9am with no appointment. Just a hope that they could help. After understanding our predicament, they were able to squeeze us in. Within an hour they identified the issue and 5 hours later we were on the road. Made it home that night (better late than never!) Staff were all great and very empathetic to our predicament. Christian, our Service Provider was wonderful. Even paid for an Uber downtown to Pasadena where we wandered around while waiting for the call. Thank you service team! read more

An absolute nightmare service department. Two times in row. The first time I took my car in they claimed a leaking transmission was my fault and I'd have to pay out of pocket -- I fought them and it turns out it was a faulty transmission (at 45,000 miles). They would have charged me to a fix a part (drip pan) that wasn't even an issue had I not pushed back and demanded a supervisor check the transmission. The second time, the appointment starts by the advisor telling me my car wasn't under warranty. It is under warranty. But more importantly, when I made the appointment I explained that I would wait for the car, but would need a loaner if it'd took longer because I had to pick up my daughter. When I arrived they said it wouldn't be ready by the time I would need it in the afternoon (because they have to wait for Germany to respond on the issue) and that they had no loaner. They wouldn't have any loaners for "three weeks." When I complained they said, it's not our problem because when you called and scheduled the appointment the call rolled over to a third party we hire to handle calls -- we can't be responsible for them not telling you there's no loaner. The service adviser actually said, "If you had called us we could have told you." I did call Audi Service Pasadena and they rolled the call over without informing me. Finally, after much pressure they said they'd be able to find a loaner. I get things fall through the cracks, but don't make me pressure you to do what's right. read more

Shortly after my last review the problem I initially took the car in for, started again. The dealer informed me that the next step would be to replace a wire harness costing $6000. At this point I've spent more than $7000 on service for this problem and they recommend another $6000 work, without holding themselves responsible for this guessing game. All they seem to want to do is to change parts. Forget proper diagnosing. Reluctantly I decided I would go with the last recommendation and pay to order the harness, but also contacted Audi of America to complain. Shortly after they called me back saying they were refusing service and did not want to work on my car any longer. I guess they don't like to hear complaining. What a pathetic excuse for a service center. Be aware taking your car here for repairs, if you're out of warranty. read more

Audi of Pasadena really rolled out the red carpet when working on my car deal. Jason and Sevag responded very quickly to my inquiry on a new 2023 Audi S5 Sportback. They were very accommodating with my schedule and helped me with delivery of my new car to my home. They were able to prequalify me prior to delivery. All I needed to do was click a few buttons, provide my electronic signature and keys were in my hand 15 minutes later. These guys are the best! White glove service through the whole process. Disclaimer: I am one of those people who brings their car in for repairs / maintenance to the dealer even after the warranty expires. My rationale is that I am willing to pay a premium ("extra") for what I perceive to be superior quality of repairs / maintenance and superior customer service. I also choose not to name my customer service representative for this experience so as not to negatively impact them. (He/she may have had a bad day and he/she definitely depends on the job to make a living.) With that... To describe my experience: I brought in my car for a check engine light on a Monday. I also requested replacing fluids / wiper blades. The service department informed me they would know in a few hours what the issues were with the check engine light. After a few hours, the service department told me that there was a fuel pump issue that needed repairing, and that if the part was shipped early the next morning I should have my car on Tuesday evening. I asked for a "loaner" car but the service department informed me none was available. The service department paid for a rideshare ride to get me home. I called the morning of Tuesday and the service department stated the part was not shipped but that it would come later and my car would be available Wednesday. I called Wednesday to ask when my car would be ready and the service department informed me the part was not shipped and they would contact me later that day to update me with an estimate of costs and that my car would be ready Thursday. I received that text at 5pm on Wednesday. When I called and texted back 10 minutes later my service agent was not in the office to receive my call. I called Thursday and the service department informed me the wrong part was shipped and my car would be ready Friday. They reviewed my estimated costs, which additionally included installing four new tires and performing an alignment. Unfortunately I was out of town Friday through Tuesday and unable to retrieve my car. On Tuesday when I returned from my trip, my car was ready and I picked it up from the service department.  My total bill was $3,776. To sum up my experience: Estimated "premium" I paid: 1. Tire change / installation / alignment: online research suggest the same tires plus installation plus alignment on a similar car might cost $1346 (that was the highest estimate I could find). I paid $1981. I therefore paid a premium of (1981-1346) / 1346 = $635 = 47%. 2. If I paid a 47% premium on the entire bill then I paid a $1775 premium. 3. I assume the true premium amount I paid is somewhere in the middle of the two numbers. The "middle" of that range is approximately $1,200 (my perceived premium payment) My perceived benefits for my premium payment: 1. Superior repair diagnostics and repair quality (I can't put a value on this, but it is the main reason why I come to the dealer) 2. Car wash (value estimate $60) 3. Rideshare ride home (value estimate $60) Where the service department fell short in the customer service area: 1. I was not provided with transportation for 4 days (I was led to believe 1 day). The service department should have tried harder to put me into a car for the duration of the repairs. 2. Communication about when my car would be ready was only "fair": I had to contact the service department daily to see when my car would be ready. The two times I received communication about when my car would be ready were 1) at 5pm on Wednesday. When I called back 10 minutes later no one was in the office; 2) on the day I picked up my car In the end, my perceived $1,200 premium payment got me a rideshare ride home and a car wash and I assume high quality diagnostics / repairs / maintenance. Although I am appreciative of quality workmanship and I trust the repairs / service performed were necessary, I cannot justify coming back to this dealership in the future. I would have been much better off going to a quality well-recommended independent mechanic with Audi experience. I still would have been left without a car for the duration of repairs and my car would not have been washed but I would have paid (my estimation) $1,200 less. read more

We've still been taking our Audi to Rusnak for regular service and have had great service the past few years. Their new service facility is huge, amazing, and clean! I usually see Ian De Los Reyes as my service advisor who is always upfront and honest with what my car does and doesn't need. This most recent visit, I had Rudy Ramirez as my service advisor and he was equally helpful! He didn't try to upsell me on anything and already was ready to apply a promo they had for oil changes without me asking (even though I had said coupon in my pocket.) He was honest about possible wait times (given that it was a crazy busy day) but my car was finished sooner than expected. I would recommend Rusnak Audi for any service needs. read more

I sent a message to the dealership through their website about the car I was interested in and Sevag called me within 5 minutes!! I told him how serious I was and he was able to get the process started right then and there. I was working and Sevag basically pulled it off by communicating with me via text and a few phone calls and had me all situated by the time I got off work. He was super transparent about the financing and no pressure on adding anything other than what I asked. Basically It was exactly what I planned and When I got to the dealership he had everything ready for me and literally within 30 minutes all paper works were signed and done. The car was already cleaned and had a full tank of Gas, ready to go. It was literally the fresh breath of air, how easy breezy Sevag made this process for me! The office is clean and nice obviously a high end dealership but The people made the difference. Sevag was a true gentleman. He is caring and is all about building the relationship. Brought in my car for services multiple times bc I'd bought the service package... more often than not, what was supposed to take half a day ended up taking more than a day, leaving me without transportation and they wouldn't give a loaner car. Furthermore, I had to call several times to find out that my car was not ready. I don't know what happened or has changed in the last 5 years, but Rusnak service was top notch before... perhaps Rusnak is reserving their better service for customers who could afford their Porsches. read more

My wife car is a 2017 Audi A6 with only 17,000 miles. We also bought an extended warranty package, yesterday the water pump goes out I'm thinking it's covered no problem? Well they didn't honor the repair of $1,500 due the the car being out of warranty 4 years , mind we bought the extended warranty for 60 months still they denied coverage. So now I'm fighting this issue with Audi Corporate hope they help out if not we will never buy another Audi for the life of us. Poor experience. Came in for a car windshield crack (stress crack) and told that a speck of dust caused the crack. Did my research and what was shown to me was likely caused by the stress crack, not a rock. Driving with a crack can cause chips due to bumps/road conditions. They Dodged my questions and told me to go to another dealership for a second opinion. Gave me a phone number to call for manufacturer questions/concerns. Called and it was the wrong number. Asked for GM contact info, told they didn't have his info. Finally 4th person I talked to gave me his card. Had the car 9 months. "The hot and cold temperatures caused it to crack" was told to me by the service manager. I didn't notice any chip of any sort and took photos before taking it in. Service manager advised me that he runs a pen down the crack to check for chips. For all I know he could have created that "chip" with his pen. read more

Came here to look at the ETron and Q8. I was helped by a young lady. She stood at the front with rubber gloves. She showed me over to the cars . However when I wanted to test drive them she didn't seem to want to assist me. She simply said that the Q7 drives just like the Q8. I was very very upset about this. She also gave me false information regarding the cars. I had done my research prior to coming here and felt like she didn't know what she was talking about.I left and went to the Audi in DTLA. Much much better experience. The DTLA Manager even came over to me and introduced himself. Such a lovely man. I don't recommend this Pasadena location. read more

I took my son to buy his Audi and we were treated very unprofessionally. First the sales rep Bonnie asked if I was cosigning and I responded no. Then proceeds to ask "do you think he will qualify, he seems kind of young?" That is not how the equal credit act works. You do not ask questions like this, you simply allow someone to complete an application and let them know if they are approved or not. Once approved, which was no issue as it wasn't his first car loan, we proceeded to the finance department and were placed in an office with Negin Ranjbar. It started off ok then she started trying to sell him every package under the sun, including GAP insurance when he was putting $20K down. You don't ever need GAP insurance with that kind of down payment. In an effort to not waste anyone's time I told her we would not be purchasing anything additional and to please prepare the paperwork. She started to argue with me that the oil changes start at $1,299 and this was a better option for him to prepay for his service. I explained to her, if she couldn't sell the car without these additional packages we didn't need the car. She got very angry, slammed an IPAD in front of him and said sign. Never said another word to us, just put the paperwork in an envelope and slapped it on the desk. Never even handed it to him or said we were done. She could not have been ruder and shouldn't be working in a customer facing business. What she failed to realize is that she just upset a Rusnak customer, I purchased my BMW 740 for over $100k from them and will never purchase from Rusnak again!! read more

Negotiated Lease for Q8 via email. Went to sign and pick up vehicle. Samuel, in Sales, who was only employed 2 months assisted the pick up. He was not educated about the E-Tron vehicle. I was not given any formal walk around or information relating to charging and mileage per charge for the q8 E-Tron I was leasing. I was told my vehicle was 100% charged (it read 220) and ready. I drove home. Next day I went to a fast charger to charge the car. The car would only charge to 100% 220miles NOT the rated 100% of 285 miles. I called Sales - Samuel - he said that's normal. Took the car back 3 days later and insisted something was wrong and I was sold a car under false pretense b/c it absolutely will not charge to 285 as rated on the MSRP sticker as advertised. I am not talking about driving I am talking about 100% charging ability. Everyone including the GM told me this is "normal" and the e-tron learns the driving pattern of the driver and adjust its charging range accordingly. I was never given an opportunity to charge from 285 and the car learn any driving pattern. The car only charged to 220 . They gave me a loaner and tested my car. The loaner also did not charge to 285 - it only had max of 271 charge. This was better than 220 I was getting on the vehicle I leased. The GM promised that by the time I bring the loaner back it also will only charge to 220. I informed them that they sold me a car under false pretense and I want a vehicle that charges at pick up to 285! They refused to comply with my request and said I can trade in my 3 day old brand new vehicle and purchase any other car on the lot with an increased payment due to the "trade in" or just pick my vehicle up and deal with the mileage as is. They said the car has not responded with any defects and the 285 mileage rate is best case scenario. I asked them to provided written language in any paperwork I signed outlining that I leased a car with a rating of 285 miles per charge but agreed to accept only 220 miles per charge. They were unable to provide this paperwork. They were also unable to provide anything written in the manual or advertised that said the vehicle UPON PURCHASE WILL NOT CHARGE as rated to 285! I asked for the regional manager name for Rusnak or Audi and the GM of Pasadena Khalid Omar refused to provide me names and escalate the situation. He said nothing can or will be done beyond him and he cannot offer me any resolution. The etron cars do not get the mileage printed on the MSRP sticker or as advertised regardless of any advertising. NO ONE TOLD ME this information when I signed my lease documents. I was allowed to drive off thinking I leased a vehicle with charging ability of 285 miles per charge period! Regardless of driving patterns. My vehicle has 16 miles on it at purchase and 250 when I brought it back to give back due to false information at time of sale . There is no learning curve information disclaimer for the vehicle. They are selling these vehicles under false pretense and Information. The loaner vehicle had 400 miles on it upon return and it also only charged to max of 265 upon return. The technical service advisor drive my vehicle for 30 miles and manipulated the driving memory using the paddle shifters to gain an additional 30 miles range so when the car was returned to me it said it charge to 250 but after 2 days it's back to 220. I told GM Khalid I should not have to manipulate my driving style with paddles to get more miles out of the car . The car should charge to 285 every single time I plug it in and charge to 100% without fail and that has never happened and according to the GM Khalid Omar this will never happen. He tried to say I had range anxiety which is a term coined for people driving electric cars that think they are going to run out of charge. The word ANXIETY is absolutely NOT a word to use light or in a joking matter! Anxiety of any kind is a very serious condition that thousands of people suffer from and take prescription medication for and this GM and his Sales team are throwing around a joke term called Range Anxiety like it's funny! This is the most unprofessional transaction I have ever experienced with a vehicle and especially Audi! I want this matter escalated as I was leased a vehicle under fraudulent information. Now 3 weeks later and 1000 miles on the car my vehicle is now charging to 229 miles per 100% charge and it takes forever to charge at the fast charging stations AND my home charger. To add to my woes the MyAudi APP that you must use to access the free charging at any Electrify America charger DOES NOT WORK! I have paid over $50 per visit to Electrify America because the charger doesn't recognize when you are trying to start the charge thru the app! This is absolutely the most miserable experience and vehicle EVER in my history with Audi for the last 8 years read more

I had an amazing and positive experience buying a new car at Rusnak Audi. Sevag, Jason and Team were ready for me and I was able to complete the transaction in a couple of hours. Excellent service and great follow up. Awesome about explaining everything to me and making sure I was happy. I highly recommend buying or leasing a car there. I got a hybrid and love it. Rusnak/Pasadena Audi's Service Dept. is horrible!!!! ======================================== It is really unfortunate when you really love your car, but the local dealer where you leased the car tries to rip you off right and left. I leased a 2017 A3 Etron a year and half ago and we just took it in for the second service at 13,500 miles today. All it needed was an oil change. Ian, the Service Advisor, said the charge was going to be $610.00 for an oil change and inspection. I am sorry, but there is no way anyone with a brain is going to pay that. It didn't need anything other than an oil change because the car is in pristine condition. I may have to post a photo because it is kept in the garage and it is spotless under the hood. I wash the car most times by hand and my husband checks everything. He is a car guy, so there is no way anything needed inspecting. My husband told them there was no way he was going to pay them $610.00 for an oil change. Then they back tracked and said it would cost $89.95, but they wouldn't re-set the computer that keeps showing it needs an oil change. Any bozo can do that on their own, so my husband just did that in two seconds and paid $89.95. They also said we could pay $799 for a four year service contract. Why would anyone do that when they are going to turn the car in to the dealer in a year and a half? They must just try to pull the wool over everyone's eyes. We have bought so many cars from this dealer, but those days are over. We'll be calling the Audi USA tomorrow to complain. Another Service Department bites the dust in my eyes. read more

Horrible service. I had to call 10 times to make an appointment because no one would pick up the phone. First time calling a business and being left unanswered. I was promised that the part would be here in 2 weeks, we are bordering month 2 now. They refused to give a loaner even though they kept my car overnight for who knows what. I call to try and get updates but 5 times out of 10 they don't pick up, which is really unheard of. Pretty sure if I called even Wendy's would pick up. Really no excuse. You're better off taking your Audi somewhere else. read more

UPDATE: AUDI "CUSTOMER CARE" (virtually useless) BEWARE OF EXHORBITANT COSTS FOR AUDI OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS It took Audi "Customer Care" a month to make a decision on my goodwill repair review to possibly reduce the $4,680 cost to replace one headlight that stopped working on a 2016 Audi A6. During that time, Audi Customer Care did not contact me with updates on the case. I emailed and left voicemails, but they did not respond. Finally, after 30 days I telephoned and spoke to someone (other than my assigned representative) that told me they had "just made a decision." They offered, in conjunction with Rusnak Audi, a 15% discount to the $4,680 repair bill. That was still $3,978 to replace one headlight that just stopped working for unknown reasons. This was not a large price reduction from the 10% Rusnak Audi originally offered when I paid them $200 to diagnose the issue a month prior. I understand Audi corporate and Rusnak Audi were under no obligation to reduce the price for an out of warranty repair and perhaps a $700 price reduction is fair (but still, $4k for a headlight is ridiculous) . But Audi Customer Care ceasing all communication with me and making me have to repeatedly contact them for a reply is unprofessional and tells me they really don't care about Audi owners. It gave me the impression they wanted me to give up/go away or pay Rusnak Audi for the outrageously expensive repair. It should not take a month for Audi to make this decision and they knew by the nature of the repair that the vehicle could not be safely driven during hours of darkness while I waited for their reply. This was my first Audi purchase and very well may be my last. PS I wil not be having this repair repair made at Rusnak Audi. PPS REGARDING AUDI RELIABILITY: During my two years of ownership, my car was at Rusnak Audi for in-warranty repairs a total of 28 days. This was for actual repairs, not routine maintenance. I have the invoices to prove it. Yes, I got a loaner car, but that's a lot of inconvenience and a good signal to me of the poor mechanical reliability of Audi vehicles. ORIGINAL REVIEW: $4,680 to REPLACE ONE HEADLIGHT I really like Rusnak's service department and service advisor Ian is great. But BEWARE OF COSTS FOR OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS before you buy an Audi vehicle. Rusnak wants $4,680 to replace the left headlight assembly. LED's in headlight housing are not replaceable and the part costs $4,200 - seriously. Part invoice attached. My vehicle: 2016 Audi A6 Quattro Prestige 54k miles. Left LED headlight low beam works only intermittently. The vehicle is 2-3 months out of warranty. The vehicle was not involved in a collision, the headlight low beam just stopped working all the time. If replacing one headlight costs $4,680, what might a transmission repair cost! I wish I could give service department 0 stars because of this, but truthfully they are good. It's just the cost for a seemingly simple repair that has me re-evaluating ever purchasing another Audi. This is not Rusnak's fault, the Audi part is just exorbitantly expensive. I contacted Audi Customer Care and they opened a goodwill review for a possible price reduction.
