The Walmart of france. An American work colleague showed us the way up here by way of tram. It's in the northern area of Clermont. Quite the experience for an individual from North America. Yes folks, it's similar to a Walmart. However it's got some sharp uncanny differences. First of all Walmart does not have a kick-ass Champagne section. It also does not have the cheese selections as well. Well most of this is all over France but Auchan has a pretty good selection of both. What Auchan was fantastic for was the kids clothing. I was able to get my young daughter a bunch of France Euro 2016 outfits very inexpensive. I was more than happy. The retail experience is a bit bleh. Similar to on has shopping at a Walmart. Overall you don't come here to be blown away by the marvels of retailing. You come here for some downright rock bottom pricing on decent items. Overall a good trip to come up to the northers Auchan. read more
