I hate leaving this review. We have been loyal customers since 2012. At the time, they were a…read moresmaller shop, great staff and they took care of people. But they started growing....and expanding...and they lost something along the way. Customer service was first to go. Then affordability. Those I can deal with, I understand that things have gotten more expensive and when you are dealing with more and more people, a little something gets lost. But I draw the line at integrity. About a year ago, my son hit something and ruined a tire. I sent him to Tiger Tire. He picked out an inexpensive tire that met his needs and wouldnt require him to buy 3 new tires. They had to order it. I took his car up and had them install it and when I went to pay, it was nearly double the initial price. They told me that was what he ordered. I asked him later and he showed me the invoice for the tire he ordered. I was pissed, but OK, mistakes happen. 3 weeks ago, he went to have air added to a tire. They told him he needed 4 new tires because of dry rot and quoted him $1100 plus mounting. This is a 19 year old kid, he believed them. I told him to check Walmart and other places, thinking maybe he could save a hundred or so bucks. Walmart had virtually the same tire, mounted and balanced, for $490! When he went to have them installed last night, the technician asked why he was replacing perfectly good tires. The dry rot was nonexistant. Just an excuse for Tiger Tire to make $1100 plus dollars. I am done with them. They wil never get another dime of my money.

Luckily he is smart enough to not give the go ahead before talking to me or his dad. We both said to wait and we will look at it. That it being back brakes on a front wheel drive Honda crv he must likely would be fine until we could check them. My boyfriend looked at them the following weekend after purchasing new brakes. They still had about 90 % life to them. So beware of your college kids going to these areas. They are obviously aware a lot of kids these days have minimal knowledge of vehicles and may not have a support person they can consult with locally.

It would have been easy to tell me they were full and that I'd need to come back tomorrow. Instead, David listened to my story, took the keys and went to check it out. The battery tested fine, of course. He could have left it at that and sent me on my way. Instead, he looked around the battery and noticed what seemed to be a loose connection. As he thought about it, he noticed the battery was a bit askew. He came back in to tell me what was wrong and that he had ordered the replacement part to secure the battery and fix the connection. 20 minutes later, he handed me my keys, refusing to charge me a dime, and told me to have a good day. As I stood there incredulously, he said he thought they should have noticed it at my last visit, 2 months ago. Of course they should not have. It probably wasn't loose then. However, it is self effacing, compassionate and detailed service that sets Franklin apart from most businesses. It is why I tell everyone about them. In the end, it is why I keep going back.

It's just disappointing sometimes to be upcharged already, and then offered more and more upgrades that cost an arm and a leg. I go to places like this knowing I'll be upcharged, but paying for good service and speed. They were very fast changing my tire, but I felt like they were a bit careless. Some things were changed around with my car settings. Also, they failed to reinstall my spare tire in the back of my car. I wouldn't normally complain about something like that, but it feels kind of frustrating when I'm being charged 'service fees' and the employees couldn't bother to take a few minutes to put my spare back where it goes.

As I stand here now, there are TWO pissed-off customers that have experienced similar stories as mine. am going to dispute the charges with my credit card company for the remaining two tires. UPDATE: 2 of my 4 tire sensors were broken by these guys according to the mechanic at the Toyota dealership.
