I came here for dinner with a friend on a Monday evening in late October 2022. The restaurant is located in a calm part of the 15th arrondissement. We had made a reservation by phone for around 7:30 pm, but we probably needn't have because it was not very busy that night.
The restaurant is very warmly and elaborately decorated, and makes you really feel like you're in Southern Europe. We were served by a very nice Spanish woman who efficiently managed the service of all the customers that night. We started with 2 gaspachos, the salad and the grilled mushrooms. The salad and mushrooms were generously portioned enough that we could split them between us. I really enjoyed all the starters, but the gaspacho (served with croutons) was my favorite.
For mains I got the Catalan paella and my friend got the half-lobster paella which was basically identical to mine outside of the lobster. The paella was huge and filling, with a generous amount of meat and seafood and very tender and flavorful. My friend also really enjoyed his paella but said the lobster was over cooked, so I wouldn't particularly recommend paying extra for the lobster when the paella itself is perfectly good.
The restaurant had a pretty long dessert menu but the server indicated only 2 were homemade, so we got one of those, the lemon tart brûlée. It was a nice dessert but not my favorite dessert; the brûlée gave it a charred taste that my friend found interesting but was not by cup of tea.
Overall we had a really nice, enjoyable meal here and succeeded in filling my friend's paella craving that week! read more
