On this day, we had the duck confit, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and falling off the bone. We also ordered the cod, which came w a buttery white sauce that complimented the fish very well. For dessert we had a strawberry "mouse", which was light and more of a yogurt consistency but simply delicious. Coffee came with some small pastry bites that were a great ending to the meal.

I had a chicken Caesar salad, and my wife had the melon and grilled Halloumi salad. Both were excellent, and the service was fast and gracious. The restaurant, on the rue des Grandes Écoles, is in the middle of everything, right off the central square by the Mairie, and has a local ambiance. We will be glad to go again, next time we're in Poitiers.
