Stay away from these folks. They advertise on their website "all entry points blocked so rodents won't return" and remove unwanted critters and protect from future infestation". But after paying them $9,000 we still have rats and when we called them to come back and fix the problem, their response was "we don't do rodent control, only attic and crawl space clean-up." So if you are comfortable with a company that lies and falsely advertises, by all means call them. But otherwise, stay away. read more

HONEST. TIMELY. RESPECTABLE. I had requested AttiCare come to give me a 3rd opinion on attic ventilation replacement. I had initially had ANOTHER company come in to do air duct cleaning. When I told them I was having poor air circulation to 2 of my bedrooms, they went to the attic and told me I needed to replace all insulation and air ducts because rodents had eaten thru the ventilation- for the price of $8000. I was concerned about this issue and called in 2 other estimates. Both, including AttiCare, said there was zero damage to the ducts and the insulation! Eli from AttiCare was wonderful. He called 30 minutes before he was to arrive as promised. He was very professional and to top it all off, he found some old droppings (from the rodent issue we resolved) and offered to vacuum them for free! We took advantage of a special financing promotion they had at the time and I am glad we did.We had our attic insulation replaced as well as the air ducts and the entire attic sanitized and asbestos removed.The team that showed up was very professional. They sealed off my hallway to prevent any dust from entering my living room and cleaned up very well after they left. My husband and I took a peek once they were done and they did an amazing job. The tech even showed me several pictures he took of the before and after.My attic is now more energy efficient, cleaner and rodent proofed as we had some major openings up there that we were not aware of. We had the most horrible experience with attic care. Dave and his team came out to remove insulation and take care of the rodents in our attic. One of his crew members stepped on our pipes and busted the water pipe, causing major water damage in my attic. I have a two-story home and the water came down to the second level causing the ceiling in the laundry room to cave-in. They admitted the problem and called a plumber to come out and repair the pipes and we redo the ceiling. The plumber they brought didn't know what he was doing , and after two full days of trying to repair a pipe ,. We had to let the plumber go and request for somebody else. We spent two whole days during Christmas Eve and Christmas day without water! I had my family over and all of us had to shower at the Marriott Hotel! This was a disaster and so unbelievable. To make matters worse, the manager, OZ never returned any of my husband's phone calls during this time. we are beyond furious for yhe loss of holiday time with family and the huge disruption to our lives without water for 3 days. As of today, I still do not have my water working because of the holidays is difficult to find somebody, and this may go on longer than we thought. Do not do business with this company! I cannot stress enough that their lack of concern for our livelihood and the enormous damage to our home is worthy of this rating. Eric being the project manager, was the first guy to tell me that we have to get rid of the asbestos before doing anything. The good: The mark of a great company is seen on how well they recover from mishaps. Atticare is one of such companies. The bad: Atticare was to clean, sanitize, re-insulate, and seal entries to the attic and crawl space. My main concern was that there were critters living in both spaces, and the air in the house had a foul smell. After the first Atticare crew finished its job, we could still feel a smell of decomposition plus a musty smell that was not there before. That same night, we could hear the desperate attempts of an opossum trying to get out of the crawl space, which we were able to photograph through one of the vents. The ugly: The crew did not have the right materials to properly seal the vents and other entry points to the crawl space. They used wire mesh and expanding foam to seal these. Not only did the work look unprofessional, but they also left a track of expanding foam on the front tiles of the house that could not be washed off. What happened next: I contacted Atticare. Tom, with whom I had signed the service contract, came back to cut open a vent for the possum to be able to escape. He sprayed rodent repellent to prevent the possum from going back in. A couple of days later, Mabrize was sent to rework the access points to the crawl space and clean up the foam spill. He replaced the vents that were covered in expanding foam, and brought the proper materials to seal up an entry point where a pipe runs through, which the original crew had just covered by stacking up bricks and using expanding foam. Mabrize also sanitized the crawl space; something that apparently did not get done by the first crew as, for the first time, we were able to smell the distinct scent of disinfectant. Mabrize's attention to detail and professional work was remarkable. The tile clean up, unfortunately, was not a simple task as too much time had gone by. Amber, with whom I have only spoken on the phone, did all the research and was able to find a company that could clean up the foam. Stone Shine did a magnificent job at restoring the tile to its original state. While the first crew did not meet expectations, I have to say that I am impressed with Atticare's troubleshooting response and their level of professionalism. When they found out that the job had not been done to company standards, they recognized the issues and immediately began to work to rectify the problems. I would definitely recommend their services to family and friends. read more

Great experience with this company. We had three inspections and decided based on quoting process, presentation and follow up that this was the company for us. Dave arrived on time and got into a full protective getup before going into the attic. I can appreciate the companies sense of duty to ensure their employees health. Dave calculation of space was within a reasonable amount and his presentation of the process was thorough. Once appt was booked Dave was still available for questions and didn't just disappear. The day I wrote this review, the GM called me to discuss what had happened and how he could help to make it better. He really cares about their reputation and seemed very upset that I was not happy. We discussed the situation and he said he would have a manager come out and look at the Attic take pictures and show me what was going on. I have to say i was a little hesitant because we were so mad and I didn't see how they could fix it, but I agreed to having them out. When the manager came he brought someone with him, they crawled through the attic videotaping and taking lots of pictures. When he came down he showed me the small area that wasn't possible to get to and that we had been misinformed by the previous person out. He showed me a video of the other guy crawling the length of our attic that we had been told wasn't new insulation when in fact it was. Where we live there are lots of squirrels running around so they think that the squirrels are getting between the tiles and running around and we can hear them, but at least not in our attic. The GM seems very genuine and really seems to value their companies reputation. They made every attempt to make it right. I would use them again. read more

I called on Monday and had Ben come out for a quote on Tuesday for our rats in the attic. Ben was friendly, professional, and helpful, and after getting quotes from two more companies, we felt best about Atticare and had them come out within a week to fix the issue. The cost was a little high, but not as high as a few other places we inquired with, and they were incredibly quick and thorough with extraction of insulation and rodent droppings, sanitization, closing of entry/exit points, and replacement of insulation. Ben was also amenable to leaving some traps for us, in case any other critters didn't make it out before the cleaning, and check back on them within a week to ease my fears. Luckily, all is well and we're thankful to be rat-free! And now our attic looks like a place I could actually store some items in, if I so chose. read more

Long overdue review of Atticare - had rats in the house. I had read a ton about how to rid a house of rats, learning that you should first seal the house, then trap rats that are inside. Trapping may take some time. Atticare seals your house, and then installs new insulation in your attic all in one day. I found another company (Rodent Stop) that seals the house, allows about a week for trapping to occur, then comes back to install insulation. In my case, two hours after Atticare left, I heard trapped rats - they were going crazy as they were they were stuck in the wall / sealed in the wall as Atticare had found and closed up two holes for me - one below my water closet (leading to crawl space) and one above my water closet (leading to attic). Although I did call Atticare as soon as I heard the rats in the watercloset wall, they said they'd be able to come out 5 days later. 5 days was too long for me to wait. Luckily I was well prepared with traps of my own (Rat Snap Traps - the big plastic heavy duty things) - I set two in the water closet and caught two rats. I set two more in the crawl space and caught another two rats. I would never have known that the rats in the crawl space were there as I did not hear those. I set 12 traps in total, and the good heavy duty kind. Long story short, if you go with this company, I would plan on trapping yourself, and be very aggressive about trapping (set a lot of them and everywhere). Atticare did come back as promised under warranty and did a courtesy check of some additional traps that I had set myself up in my attic after their first departure. They were clean. If Atticare had done trapping for me, I don't know how many they would have set. I suppose the job would have gotten done by them, but it would have taken time. Their guys - they are excellent - so hardworking and so attentive. I had surveyed my house before hand and had found holes that I knew I wanted them to address. Robert Ocompo was the guy in charge and he was so patient with me, took every gentle hint of an overbearing homeowner. He was really really sweet and met my every annoying request. They let me come up with them into the attic after they did their vacuuming and explained where they saw droppings so that I would know where to set traps. When I asked them to vacuum a bit more, they did. They even vacuumed out my garage for me which was not a part of the contract (they will not warranty garage for rats). All and all, a good experience. That's why 4 stars. read more

Taylor from Atticare came and did a very thorough inspection of the crawlspaces below the house and the attic. He came prepared, already in his inspection suit, and got right down to business. He was very helpful, and took his time to explain everything to me, as well as present all the options. He was not rushed at all, and genuinely seemed to care that everything get done and fixed properly. Thankfully there were no rats in the attic, (even though I am not scared of them, and requested 100 percent HUMANE removal, no awful Environmental hazards like poison or mean glue traps---he agreed) but he pointed out my insulation was in bad shape and not up to code. We decided to go ahead with a new insulation. It was a matter that we must choose a reliable company to do a job. I started to search for company on the website and came across AttiCare. I like the positive reviews from customers so we made an appointment with AttiCare. Kobe, sales tech came and explained step by step what they are going to do. He also showed pictures of our attic. We decided on AttiCare on the next day. Apparently they must have many crews to do various jobs. The work has been done with minor glitch. Our recessed lights in the living room didn't work but the rest of the house are okay. We just thought it was our switch but when an electrician who we hired came and said it was a loose wire up in the attic. He will charge me outrageous prize by hour to fix the problem.
