On our previous phone call for a followup inspection the office staff made us that our 1 year warranty would expire in April 2019, so we were offered a final inspection on the work done on the followup inspection before our warranty expired. The workman arrived promptly in the scheduled appointment and checked the followup inspection and work that was done He seemed very attentive and knowledgeable and informative about a mold retardant product for prevention of mold due to rain leakage. The workman was very hard working. We have been very satisfied with Atticare's workmanship, efficiency and attentiveness, even when they have to commute to our area since they are located in the Los Angeles area, at least a 2 hour commute! read more

I have a very new house so I was naive and didn't think I would need a rodent control company to see why my cables under the house were eaten up..I called a few places near Pacific Palisades but was very unimpressed with their ideas of what to do and how to manage the problem.. The next day the project manager, Vince Reese, texted me to tell me the field technician had a newborn to deal with and he was replacing him.. What a pleasant surprise to meet a young gentleman with a great solution and even though they couldn't help me with what needed to be done he told me how to save money and what to do. He even followed up with my handy man.. Nobody has ever been more professional or honest when making a free estimate call. This came at a very tense time and I couldn't be more grateful. If you want to pay 2x the price, and be confronted with high pressure sales techniques these are your guys. I could have started a drinking game with how many times the estimator said "I'm going to be honest with you, and I'm going to tell you the truth." I invited them into my home to replace my attic insulation, but it was clear all the estimator wanted to do was work on my HVAC system. He pulled out a socket and started to try and take my HVAC access panel off with no approval, even though I had clearly said I was just interested in an insulation replacement at the beginning of the appointment. He went as far as to say my HVAC system was dangerous. I confronted him on why it was dangerous and he had no answer. He just tried to show me pictures of a system that was "like mine" that they had just replaced. Nice scare tactic, but my HVAC system is fine, and is in working order. There was no reason for him to be trying to sell me a new HVAC system. He was hoping my project would be covered by a power company rebate, but when I told him it wasn't his enthusiasm faded. He wanted to take 10% off the estimated price if I agreed to the work right now. Does your company really think I'm so stupid that I'm not going to get multiple estimates for a comparison? Your company should be ashamed of your predator salesmen. I'm sure these tactics have worked on people, and that is what convinced me to write this review in hopes that it helps a future customer. read more

My attic insulation was not too old, but we did re-roofing, so I knew my attic needs to be cleaned. Also I suspect my attic might have some rodent issue. At very beginning, I wonder if I should find a cleaning company or pest control company. I happened to find this company from Local Flavor, and just picked up my phone and gave a try. Eli, a sale rep showed up on time with his personal protection equipment, and did a thorough inspection, then gave me a detailed breakdown of their services. This gave me a very good first impression, so I decided to sign a contract with them soon. On the day, crew arrived on time. They first converted the space between my front door and the access to my attic into a plastic membrane covered tunnel to completely isolate working area and the rest of my house. This made my wife very happy. Miguel, the foreman outlined every step, and keep us updated on their progress through showing us photos and videos. Eric and other crew members worked hard and did a great job. The final result is a clean and insulated attic, a clean California basement, and a rodent-proof house. It is much better than I originally expected. There is no necessary for me to find a pest control company at all. After the work was done, we found some minor damage on my living room ceiling, not 100% sure related to this project, but Atticare sent me a handyman right away and did a good repair work. The only thing not so perfect is that they told me they are going to send me some photos showing my attic before and after their work, so far I haven't received any photo. Overall, from start to almost finish, Atticare did a nice job on our attic crawl space. Dave came and gave an initial inspection and took several pictures to show the state of our attic. He was very professional and courteous and was on time. He went over the entire process and provided photos and videos of the procedure and all the steps they take to clean the attic. Dave was five stars all the way! Eric and Michael came to clean the attic and were also very professional and courteous and on time. They provided constant photo updates of the removal and insulation installation and kept me updated on their progress while I was out. The job was none in about six hours, as my attic is small (approx 700 sq ft). The only reason I deducted one star was that they did not do a great job cleaning up afterwards. They had to take the insulation out through my daughter's room because it was the shortest route out of the house, and when they were finished, there were a few rodent droppings on the floor and bits of old insulation. Outside where they'd thrown the old insulation, the mess was worse. I know small things can fall out like that, but it would have been nice for them to clean up better. We hired Atticare, in part, to clear up a rat infestation. We discovered later that they simply sprayed "expanding foam" very sloppily and didn't set any traps as they promised... and which we paid for. After calling the company multiple times, they said "they would take care of it" but never came out to set the traps to actually catch the rats, and the owner/manager would never return our repeated calls. These people are thoroughly unprofessional, if not completely unethical hacks. Don't let our experience be your experience. Avoid this company like the plague. read more

Great work by Dan Angel and his team - including Robert, Chris, Edward, Edgar and the remaining crew. This was a relatively large job for them. They worked on both the attic (cleaning, re-insulating, installing radiant barriers, etc.) as well as sub-floor insulation and vapor barrier. We saw all the hard work required of them. Our house is quite old and has inferior insulation. Re-doing the attic insulation was a deferred maintenance; AttiCare's crew did an excellent job cleaning out, removing the old and installing updated materials (previously our attic had multiple types/layers of older insulation). Present were also the remains of dead rodents so the job including cleaning all that out and sealing all potential entrances to the attic. A special acknowledgement to Dan - he was very patient explaining the entire process to me and my wife prior to signing the contract. He also personally visited the job during the process as well as at the end to make sure all was well, including sending follow-up texts and scheduling with the head office his own time to come to our house. This is excellent client service. Dan, while a technician, also does the work himself where necessary. He personally came back to our house to finish up some work and to fully inspect everything that was done to be sure his crew did the work up to his and our standards. He came and climbed up into the attic where he stumbled upon a cable disconnecting my internet, telephone, and power. I told him what happened after he went to the attic and he told me he will try to fix it. However, he returned from the attic shortly after and told me he has no idea what he did wrong. I had a vapor barrier put in my Long Beach home by this company on 12/30/18, thinking this would eliminate moisture issues in my CRAWLSPACE. Everything I thought looked good until I had them come back...the poorly trained tech who looked back down there said there was moisture on a wooden joist. After reaching back out to the sales rep numerous times to look into this, I received no response. Furthermore, I had another contractor come out to look at the work..he said it was done shoddily and not even complete and discovered many more moisture issues underneath the vapor barrier. David at attic care was recommended to us from another family friend and they came in and gave us an estimate and were great to work with. They came in, insulated and filled up any holes where rodents could get in. They showed us before and after pics as well. He was not the supervisor at the time of my original complaint to the company. He thoroughly listened to the issues I had with the previous representatives. They completely redid our attic and ducts, rodent-proofed, cleaned up thoroughly. We saw an immediate difference in heating and cooling efficiency. He came on time , call 30 mins before hand to confirm and from the very start was very helpful. He inspected my crawl space ( even found a major water pumping issue that was missed by several plumbers) He gave a full inspection of my attic and was very clean by wearing booties and even cleaning after himself.
