First time attending this event so wasn't Sure what to…read moreexpect . Was looking forward to being able to take our 2 rescue dogs out fur a family outing. Lots of people had the same idea judging from the line to get I just to park- they were asking fir donations which slowed the flow . More lines at the entrance fir admission where there was another Subaru in all fir good cause. And in exchange a really cute burlap goodie bag filled w treats! I'd like to see next years event have more people working parking and admission to cut down on wait and be more organized. There were many vendors represented and lots of rescue organizations which was great to see several no. Profits operating some food vendors: pizza, hot dogs even doggie ice cream. Was a great chance to meet some new dog centered providers that I didn't know about and might need . The best part was we got to reconnect with the group that brought us our rescue dogs. That's what the day was about. Making new friends and sharing our love of dogs!

There was definitely a lot of blueberry happening, with blueberry lemonade seemingly making an appearance at approximately every other stand. While there were plenty of tasty options, a lot of the offerings felt pretty similar. Standouts for me this year: "Pop It Like It's Hot" - a jalapeño popper hot dog from Basteenies Weenies (that bacon crumble, wow, just WOW) The Carbonara Arancini from The Griffon Pub PB & J Sundae from Rosie's - now I want a pb coated wavy chip topping all my sundaes A couple of downsides: I definitely missed The Deli being there this year. And then there were the WASPS. So. Many. Wasps. Everywhere. Still, it's always fun to stroll around town, sample some local creations and see what everyone comes up with.

There are also a couple of food options and craft show that runs all weekend. The organizers deserve a lot of credit for putting in the time to put on such a wonderful event.

It's the first and last venue we looked at; I knew immediately I wanted to marry the love of my life here. The entire staff is top tier; they pay attention to detail and make sure everything is perfect for your big day. The owners are the sweetest and purest people I've met. Marilyn and her daughter-in-law Mary made the process easy as heck for us. Sarah and Lisa were our day of coordinators and they were beyond amazing all day and night. They're all genuine people who love love, as most people do. If I could get married here every year, I would do it in a heartbeat. Everything I was looking for in fall activities!!…read more I came across this place on Yelp, through suggestions of friends looking for a place to pick pumpkins straight from the patch. It's one of the activities I enjoy doing most in the fall, and have grown disappointed with other farms as the years went by and their popularity skyrocketed. This place is fairly under the radar - a bit of a drive even past the attractions in Clarence, but I've grown to love Akron lately and so I (of course) didn't mind making the journey. In fact, I loved this place so much that I brought my family back here the very next day. Akron Acres is a part of the Kelkenberg farm family. I haven't been to their namesake farm, but if it's anything like Akron Acres I'm sure I would have an absolutely amazing time. Activities here during their fall season included a hayride out to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, and things like pony rides for the kids. The hayride is $12 and you're allowed to pick any pumpkin you want from the patch (even the biggest one you can't carry) - they also had combo ticket prices if you wanted to participate in some of the other activities here. Sadly we went during a wet and rainy weekend, so I had to miss out on the corn maze BUT the farm animals 10000% made up for my FOMO. Oh yes, there are dozens of farm animals roaming about! Most notably, we saw ponies, a large draft horse (not sure what breed they are? but they are HUGE), pigs, sheep, turkeys, chickens, and of course GOATS. There were also BABY GOATS and they were absolutely ADORABLE, one of them tried to eat my clothes. Made my life complete. You can also buy an assortment of other things while you're here, not just tickets for fun activities! They sell pumpkins and gourds if you don't feel like going out to the patch - they also have Indian corn and corn stalks, hay, among other things. There's a food stand that sells kettle corn, maple cotton candy, and candy apples. You can also shop a super cute country store here, with all sorts of goodies - I ended up buying a delicious smelling candle that they were burning in the store while I was there. Needless to say, there's a ton of really fun things to do while you're here, both for kids and adults. It's a bit less well known than some of the other pumpkin places in WNY, which is why I ended up liking it so much. Both days we went, it was pleasantly busy but not overly crowded. There is also "The Gathering Barn," which is where weddings are hosted - and from the pictures I've seen online, it sounds beautiful! All in all, we had such an amazing experience here that we're going to be back in November for their Christmas trees! Can't wait to return!!

A small indoor miniature golf course, and I have to say they have some of the most creative I've seen, made it so much fun. Not your basic putt putt. The space is small, but it wasn't an issue maneuvering to each hole. I can see maybe if a bunch are playing at once it being an issue, but we got lucky and had it to ourself till almost the end. We were there on a Thursday night, where Kevin was there hosting DJ trivia, which we signed up and played (came in second). It was fun and perfect timing as we ordered some food which took about 40 or so minutes to come up. The staff was super nice and friendly. A gentmen made me an amazing margarita! There areas through out the front to grab beverages ranging from water to canned mixed cocktails. The food was your basic "bar food" nothing fancy. Everyone seemed enjoy there sandwhich, we shared some apps, loaded nachos, loaded tots and buffalo chicken wing dip.

Obviously food and picked berries during peak season will cost you extra, but you can still do a lot on admission alone as there are free activities and little trails to walk around. Food is delicious, all of their hot food is prepared fresh upon ordering and they use high quality, locally sourced ingredients (including the ice cream trolley below the hill). They also have little snack features at different times of the day like free popcorn until sunset, or you can purchase a smores kit to use at one of the bonfire tables. Blueberries are one of my favorite fruits so you could imagine how stoked I was to see blueberries incorporated in almost everything they sell here! I highly recommend the sweet gum pizza & the bee sting (shot of honey plus a mint leaf and buzzbutton/electric daisy bud) which gave a unique sensory experience. I also really appreciate how much time and effort went into the execution of the treehouse, the design, details, and usage of building materials are seriously impressive-- especially the playground which is SO cool! Makes me wish I was a kid again. Sadly blueberry season just ended but I was still able to find a few late bloomers in some of the bushes! Nothing too crazy & they weren't the sweetest but it'd be nice to come back for the full experience, or on another day where they have more to do. !!! Something very important to take into consideration is that while it is family friendly, this is NOT the best place to bring someone who requires mobility assistance and/or has a bee allergy. I was told to distribute tickets offsite. Not allowed to distribute at the venue. Evidently if you have a group of 40 people you're not large enough to merit any considerations. I will not be returning. I have advised group and most said they will not return either.

This yearly festival, complete with dancing and music, is 21 and older only, which is partly why I think it's so...pleasant. I know, I'm a terrible person, but when I see children running around a venue where ADULTS are acting like children, I start getting very nervous. So I'm glad that this element isn't a part of this. Honestly, this festival is pretty much about merry-making, hanging out with your friends, listening to the German national anthem, singing "prost" and generally setting yourself up for feeling like crap the next day. Which is where I am now. But hey, it's fun!

I love getting food from The Grange Outpost and cookies from Gingersnap Patisserie. There's lots of local business stands (realtors, Urgent Care, pediatric dentistry, etc.) and plenty of wheels to spin for the kids. They are bound to come home with a bunch of free pens, frisbees, and bags, hahaha!
