Single origin espresso
Felix W.

I got an espresso - the single origin option. It was a medium roast with medium body and good layer of crema. I tasted mild acidity, citrus, and dark chocolate. 4/5 Slightly less bitterness would make it even better.

Some outdoor seating right outside the cafe

Attalus Coffee in Vacaville has a great vibe with a cozy, welcoming ambiance. The service was friendly and attentive, the breakfast toastie was delicious, and the vanilla bean latte was smooth and perfectly balanced. A great spot to relax and enjoy quality coffee. I definitely recommend for a tasty coffee drink!

Space - medium small, pretty good seating, glorious & gorgeous calming atmosphere Quality matcha with nice homemade services. Wait time a tad long but just because there was a queue. A nice escape in the city!

Spring Fling Matcha and Black Sage Honey Latte

Cute corner coffee shop! It looks tiny from the outside but there is actually a fair amount of seating inside, and since it's a corner spot they have 2 entrances and outdoor seating on both sides. I was excited to try their Spring Fling matcha drink that I saw on Instagram. I was a little disappointed to see it come out looking like a regular matcha, rather than the bright blue on their photo. Just make sure to mix it otherwise that first sip is pretty fragrant! After I started drinking it more, it had better balance of flavor but if I closed my eyes I probably wouldn't know it's matcha. I liked my husband's black sage honey latte better, which was a solid latte but I wouldn't be able to tell the sage or honey flavors if you didn't tell me. Overall they kinda tasted more on the watery side instead of a creamier latte. They have a standard pastry offering, but their brunch menu looked really good! We couldn't stay for long but it seemed very unique. Overall 3.5 but rounding up for nice service and nice clean ambiance. I had higher hopes for this spot but I think maybe we just had the wrong drinks. If we are passing through again I'll have to give it another shot!

Finally, a coffee joint that knows how to have the right milk to coffee ratio. I ordered black sage iced latte. 5/5. But the match could use more matcha.. it tasted a bit too watered down. But overall still great place for coffee and pastries. Great staff and a cozy coffee shop. They get their pastries from Starter bakery !!! Their pastries are soooooo yummmy! Great choice Attalus.

I have been wanting to try the coffee here for a while and today while my wife ice and I were near downtown Vacaville, we decided to stop in for some coffee. Attalus Coffee is located in the corner of the funky 5 way intersection as you enter downtown from Merchant St. There is street parking and a couple parking lots nearby, so parking is not an issue. It's a cozy coffee shop with a handful of indoor tables to sit at and a table with a couple chairs out side for you to enjoy your coffee at. The employees working were very nice and helpful. The gentleman who took our order was very patient while we decided what to order. He was knowledgeable about their offerings and describe/answered our questions about the coffees. I decided to order Black Sage Honey Latte (cold) and my wife ordered the Wildflower Latte (hot). They can make you coffee order both hot or cold. The Black Sage Honey Latte had a hint of honey, but I did not really taste the black sage and there was a fragrant smell/taste of the orange zest that was on top of the coffee. The Wildflower Latte had a very fragrant smell of wildflowers, but when you drink it, the strong fragrance did not translate to the drink, just a hint of fragrance. Both of the coffees tasted good, not overpowered by the flavorings and the coffee itself was not motor oil strong. If you like very dark tasting coffee, what we ordered is not for you. Overall, we enjoyed our drinks and would comeback again, particularly to try their seasonal offerings.

Such an adorable little coffee shop right in the heart of lovely downtown Vacaville! I was in town to meet up with a co-worker who always knows the best spots for coffee, and Attalus did not disappoint. While I had already hit my caffeine max for the morning, I enjoyed a drink from their summer menu: a strawberry basil Italian soda. My co-worker ordered a matcha latte, and we split a piece of their wonderful banana bread. We even got to sit outside and enjoy a warm, sunny, not-too-hot day.

This cafe is located in the heart of downtown Vacaville and it's a gem! All the lattes are delicious, especially their holiday special lattes. I ordered the holiday cookie latte, it was adorable with the toasted marshmallow and tastes delicious! It's a great place for a peaceful morning or a chat with a friend. There is a good amount of seating, but during busy hours it's definitely a full house.

Breakfast toastie

First timer here & it's the cutest little coffee shop! Relaxing and mellow feel surrounded by floral and great place to catch up with friends to chit chat. I tried the dirty Matcha which was tasty and I'm not really a matcha person either but it was tasty! Breakfast toastie & the avo smash was perfect sized portion but most importantly tasted so fresh! I'm definitely going to go back & already recommended to a friend to check out. Cashier who also made the drinks was friendly and kind.

Breakfast sandwich. So yummy

Beautiful esthetic and clean. Excellent beverages and food. Service with kindness and smiles. Absolutely loved it here!

Iced latte and almond croissant
Azalia R.

I got a regular latte with almond croissant that was warmed up, very yummmy I wish my coffee had a little more espresso but it was still all good I had some time before class to study and decided to sit down I didn't realize saying for here they would give me a regular cup. I ran out of time and needed to ask for a Togo cup and box. I would come back forsure

Located in quaint downtown Vacaville, Attalus surprised us with unique coffee selections and delicious breakfast options. While the shop is pretty small (about 8 small tables, although they do have outdoor seating), we were able to snag a spot to enjoy our Sage Honey Latte, Miso Capaccino, breakfast toastie and pastries. While the coffee size is small, you won't be disappointed by the taste! The sage honey latte wasn't overly sweet but also wasn't overwhelmed by strong espresso flavor. The orange zest on top really added an acidic contrast that highlighted the fruitiness of the coffee flavor. The breakfast toastie hit - salty ham, spicy aioli with umami truffle, acidic greens and satisfying crunch- highly recommend. There were only two gals working the front so we did have to wait a good ten minutes or so before receiving our order. That said, it was worth the wait. Stop by if you're ever in Vacaville!

We came here for a quick coffee break and what a treat! We were able to get street parking right across the street. We walked in and the place was buzzing! A bit of line but worth the wait. We ordered the black sage honey latte with oat milk and it was delicious!!! Loved all the flavors and one of my all time favorites. The vibe itself was very chill, minimalist, some seating and lots of conversations. We saw a few folks eating breakfast items and bakery treats. We will definitely come back to try those next time!

I've been coming here for a decade and their quality has only improved. The cafe is now larger and…read morea little more modern but they still left a touch of the aviation theme that started their journey. There is now a Tesla Supercharger so navigate to that instead of the cafe so that your Tesla preconditions while you enjoy your morning. They no longer support their own app and have turned the keys over to Square to create an account to make it easier to pay and reorder. The ready times you get in the app are later than it's usually ready so I recommend giving them 10-20 minutes lead time. Here's my rating of the variety of foods and drinks I've tried. Undertow - 8 - Fun twist on a cortado as the half and half is cold and they add a splash of vanilla. The hot espresso is carefully floated on top of the milk so that when you drink you feel the cold "underflow" of vanilla milk. Cortado- 8 - Small but powerful sip of espresso. I prefer it with half and half and a touch of sugar over Journey's method but it is a tasty sip. Lavender Latte - -10 - the best version of a lavender latte you'll ever have. Cherry Blossom Latte - 9 - The cherry syrup is very forward but blends nicely into the latte which gives it light finish. The coffee does get a touch lost so add an extra shot. Citrus Cocoa Latte - 9 - The orange syrup is prevalent throughout the drink but the cocoa starts to stand up more the last half of the drink. I don't prefer chocolate drinks but this doesn't taste like a mocha at all. Very well done Journey!!! Veggie n Egg Breakfast Wrap - 7 - Light and flavorful but needs some pop from another ingredient. I recommend using the Tapatio hit sauce to elevate it above our 7 rating for those that want some pop of flavor and can handle spice. Breakfast Hand Pie - 6 - The pastry wasn't crispy but it did have some crispy seeds on it to save the texture, a bit gummy for my liking. The filling was also creamy with more cheese than needed (and I love cheese). Although good, I wouldn't get it again because the flavor of the filling fell flat. First Class Wrap - 10 - If you can handle spice, the chipotle sauce is amazing amidst the variety of ingredients. This is my go-to and everybody I introduce it to gets it as well. Every business partner I've introduced this right off the freeway coffee stop has loved and kept as their own. It's a no brainer if you're headed down I-80.

I won't go into the reasons why, but I wound up forgetting to order my coffee decaffeinated. I wound up ordering a Mexican mocha with almond milk and light whip. I also ordered a veggie scone. Both the barista and the person working the counter were friendly and nice. I LOVED the Mexican mocha. It wasn't too sweet (which I was worried about), didn't need sugar, but was delicious. It had a nice mix of the robust coffee flavor and the richness of the Mexican chocolate. The scone was good. I liked the mix of veggies and cheese. I think it would have been better if it were heated. This cafe is somewhat small. While there is a good amount of seating, it gets pretty packed in here. I'd say my biggest con of this cafe if you're drinking your coffee there are the seats and the lack of electrical outlets to charge your computer. The bar stools are pretty uncomfortable. I really could only sit the stool for about an hour. Since the stools didn't have a backrest, I started getting sore. I'd definitely get coffee here again.
