You are able to sample as well, which I thought was really cool. I ordered an iced vanilla bean latte, which I enjoyed. You have the option to get all coffees iced or hot. I love that they provide regular drinking cups for those who are going to be sitting inside the coffee shop. Saves from having so many togo cups being out in the environment. I heard this coffee shop was the place to so I decided to give it a try. My first impression when I walked in was that it has a little new age/hipster vibe. I found the concept a little confusing at first but when I asked for an explanation I was greeted with a smile and friendly welcome. Attalus carries solely organic imported coffee. I tried a tropical coffee with fruity notes and had it as a latte. I was delicious! Not overly acidic and medium bodied. I think I'll be back. It's a nice meet up for coffee with a friend. Although the coffee was expensive, it was worth it. My latte cost $5.95 so it is on par with Starbucks, but I'd rather support a small business than a mega corporate business like Starbucks. We have loved this place since we first tried it. That was several months ago. Judging by the crowds, everyone loves it too!! While we are happy that they are so popular, we have had to get creative in finding parking. The drinks and food are always worth it!! I love that they are willing to customize my drinks, as I'm not a fan of sugar. Surprisingly, in a drink, no sugar is almost as bad as too much sugar. So I'm like Goldilocks. Very disappointing experience. For two small coffees and two breakfast sandwiches the total came out to be 45 dollars, we were incredibly surprised at how expensive the total came out to be. We were traveling and there wasn't much options available on our schedule. We took it to go. On the road we discovered our sandwiches were incredibly over saturated with grease and one was slightly burnt. Very thin sandwiches with hardly any meat. Not worth the price or time. If we had stay we would have asked for a refund immediately upon inspection. I wish I had never ate it because afterwards it gave me instant heartburn and diarrhea. read more

The staff/owners were extremely friendly and the iced vanilla bean latte I got was by far one of the best coffees I have had. We had a strawberry basil drink and a mocha. Both were delicious. The mocha was spot on to what I look for in quality. The strawberry basil drink was like a mock-tail and if you like basil, which I do, it was yummy and refreshing. We also ordered the Rueben sandwich. It lived up to expectations, though I thought the slaw would be more slaw-like. Nevertheless, what they have created is tasty and delicious. Loved the touch of flaky salt on the outside of the sourdough. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious. They've added nice touches to the former diner--trendy yet quaint. What a gem!!! This coffee shop is truly the best one I have been in! I was looking for a breakfast sandwich on my way to work and found this place on Yelp. Not gonna lie, I'm so glad I finally have a go to coffee shop in Vacaville. So so cute inside. I really love the minimalist modern style, from the interior design to the mugs being used. Very nice guy, he assisted me in making a choice and we discussed a little coffee talk. The shop was clean and inviting. Coffee beans for sale, were roasted about two weeks ago so they should be ready for brew right away. I ordered an oat milk latte, which he whipped up quickly with a little design on the top. The espresso was dialed in really well, and I could tell from the first warm sip that it was quality. First off coffee is good here, but service is slow and not very efficient, which is why we don't go too often with other good choices around. Last time i was there it was a little crowded so i let the guy know i'd be outside for my to go order, so please let me know when it's ready. Went and waited outside by front door by register, then almost 15 minutes later I came back in and asked about my order and it was sitting there. I told them hey i let you know i'd be outside to the 2 employees in front of me (one being the person i spoke to prior) and the guy who talked to me about it wouldn't look me the eye or say a word. It was my first time coming here with my sister. While arriving parking was kind of hard to find and street parking was all filled up so we just parked in the parking lot near merchant & main and walked, which i really didn't mind. First look inside the coffee shop it was super cute. It has a very clean and simple aesthetic inside the cafe with some hanging plants and a decent amount of seating There was a line when we first entered, but it actually went by super fast. The girl who took our order was very nice and answered any questions we asked with a smile. The cafe was a little packed and there wasn't too much seating open for me and my sister, but eventually people did leave so we were able to enjoy our food and drinks and sit down and talk. We ordered the pimento cheese toastie and avo smash. The toasted was a little oily due to the cheese im pretty sure, but I still enjoyed it. The avocado smash was so aesthetically pleasing and yummy. As for the drinks... I loved my hot matcha latte, you really can't mess that up. Although my sister wanted to try the seasonal lavender latte. When she first got it she tried and it just tasted like a simple latte and no lavender at all. I tasted it as well and it just had a very strong coffee flavor to it and no lavender whatsoever so she asked if they could remake it since she couldn't taste the lavender. Luckily they remade it for us with no problems, but when we got the remake it still tasted the same. I heard they make their syrups in house, so maybe they just use the syrups sparingly or it's supposed to have a light lavender flavor, but like I said it still tasted like the first drink and no lavender at all, which was disappointing so we didn't ask again for them to remake it because what's the point? I will say it is very pricey here. I paid a total of $34 for everything plus tip even though the portions seem small, but I guess it's just the quality of the food and drinks which is why they make it so pricey and probably because of the area they are in. I would think twice about coming here again. Maybe if i just really wanna splurge on myself or something or just want aesthetically pleasing photos for my social media. read more

And so here is Attalus, a throwback dressed in modern attire, a stripped down minimalist aesthetic with coffee that is rich, delicious and made by caring, artisanal hands. You won't get the Starbucks' double half caff bitter tasting laugh crap! This is seriously good coffee for those who love the taste of coffee curated by folks who understand the roasting process and have perfected it. They have bites, a gorgeous $12 breakfast sandwich, a $6 ham and cheese croissant, some pastries that look mouthwateringly delish. Get a cappuccino and sit by the window. The locals are friendly and eager to share their time and have a conversation. Don't bring your lap top, or spreadsheets gagged with numbers to the nth decimal. This isn't that kind of place. Didn't order food, but I did get coffee. Quaint and quiet cafe where you can relax, and enjoy the pleasant company of the owner, Kevin, and his staff. If you're coming here expecting coffee you'd get at a basic diner or at Starbucks, you'll be disappointed. This is a place that really cares about the sourcing and the craft, and you can really taste the difference. I ordered a black shot of espresso (70/30 blend of washed and anaerobic natural processes) and a cup of their filter brew (Ethiopian Kolla Bolcha washed light roast). Both excellent and you can clearly taste the hard work that the farmers and roasters put into their beans. Attalus respects their coffee and as a result, you won't be disappointed with what they serve you. Next time you think about going to Starbucks, come here instead and learn what quality coffee actually tastes like if you don't know already. read more
