Yelp would not allow a 0' star rating so buyer beware. Atlas installed our pool 4 years ago. We've had a leak for over 2 years and it is still not properly fixed. It was finally patched in June and we've requested a permanent fix but our many phone calls and texts have not been returned. Before the leak was patched there were multiple promises to take care of it and they would never show up. Based on their horrible customer service I would never recommend them for a new pool installation. read more

Just bad, bad, bad. Kept starting new pool projects when they knew they were not able to fulfill previous commitments.

Where do I begin? Tom (part owner) said one thing and did another, if he'd even respond or arrive the day of an appt. It was a battle of constantly keeping tabs on what they were doing, scheduling, etc. We understood from the beginning there would be a 6 week delay due to covid. That six weeks turned into 4 months. Why? Greed. They took in too many projects (20+) and couldn't keep up. They hired the concrete company (jerseys Finest) that decided to have a drinking, urinating (below my daughters window instead of out back by the sheds) backyard party during the install. As a female, I thought Tom didn't agree with working with a woman making decisions, so I handed off the communication to my husband. At first, started out ok. Then weeks went by and my husband started having trouble with Tom keeping his word, or replying also. It's an extreme disappointment for how much money we invested in this. I have texts proving all the aggravation also. He even stated they'll open the pool complementary due to all the problems. In Dec, he set the date. Did he show, call, text or email? Nope. Just a plain no show. This company is a joke and I wouldn't recommend them to someone I didn't even like. read more

The customer service in there store is Don right hostile towards customers. I went in with some question and the counter staff was annoyed that I needed answers to my question. Pool Chems I very over priced. I suggest find another pool store cuz this one STINKS !!! read more

There customer service is absolutely horrible. We ordered a new liner they promised a liner for the beginning of June. In the contract I told them I did not want it if it wasn't in by July. I understand things happen however when July will around in the line was not in they stopped answering my phone calls and started giving me the runaround. They did not do anything until I went and file a complaint in small claims court against them. read more

The customer service here is awful, I asked if they carried a product and received a dozen questions in return. I wanted to know if they CARRIED it, ie: "had them in stock" and was told "no", then it turned to "well, maybe" and by the end I never got a straight answer because the gals attitude flared so high I walked out. Fake dates and never came through as promised. Now they are trying to keep my deposit, but admitted they won't be installing my pool. Please stay away. Tom Decker and staff are first-rate imcompetent clowns! I wouldn't trust them to babysit a flea. I wish I would've read some of the warnings/reviews prior to going with this company. Buyer beware, Tom has very poor communication skills with the contractors he uses to do the work, inspectors, as well as the buyers. We recently had a pool installed at my house which according to the contract said would take 27 days, took much longer. The pool size that was agreed upon was not initially installed until my husband and I physically measured the pool ourselves then contacted Tom about the missing 2ft. He then informed us that he saw it as well prior to our call... BUT he never said anything to us about it. The companies that he uses are great people, they informed me that we were not the first to complain, nor will we be that last if individuals continue to give them business. As one of the reviews stated he uses some of the cheap materials to save a buck or two, one of the outsourced company workers informed me about a product that they could've used and would have made things go somewhat faster with installation but it was a savings of a few dollars per square foot. Some of the outsourced company workers also informed me that he was behind in multiple projects in addition to my house, one that we knew personally. When we originally signed the contract, we were upsold on a light that was said to light up 95% of the pool minus the stairwell... Instead, it only lights up 45% of the pool leaving the entire shallow end in the dark, which is a safety hazard for my children and others that may swim. After installation and final payment things were still completed as promised/contracted. My husband had to visit the store, text Tom and called on multiple occasions to make sure he was doing the job and staying on top of things due to the horrible communication with the outsourced companies, inspectors and us. We are still currently waiting for a meeting that was requested a while ago. He has yet to respond. New Buyers-- Consider using a company that does ALL of the work through the company and no outsourced workers... Or consider going with a company with individuals that have really good communication skills and follow through. read more

Buyer beware!!! I made a down payment on a pool at 7 pm July 3- canceled right after installer came and said access would triple cost of installation- this was 4 pm on The 5 th. Pool was ordered on the 5 th. Immediately canceled and was told they 'needed permission', then told to wait til today to see if it could be canceled. Now they will not refund until FRIDAY!!!! Illegal business practices. NEVER buy from ATLAS pools. Very bad customer service!!!!!! Worst I have ever experienced. If they act like this with a small Purchase what happens when they work with a 50k install??!!! Stay away!!!! read more

Tom the manager at Atlas pools is a con -artist . He will promise you everything to get you to sign then deliver crap. He is a liar - don't trust a word he says. He buys cheap material and charges double . The copping on my pool was discolored to silver because of the low - grade quality copping material according to the pool contractor I paid to investigate the problem. Picture silver all around the copping that is white. My pool is brand- new. Tom said he didn't know why it was happening and my pool was the only one - it was a big fat lie. They use low grade material to build and when they bend the copping it weakens because the cheap material. A brand new pool should not have to have the copping painted at the end of the first season . He then tried to blame my kids for having a volley ball net in the pool. He is a world class thief- Alex the builder is great. I'm not sure why he works for such a low life. read more

I have been a customer of Atlas for over 13 years. We had an in-ground pool installed in EHT, which we enjoyed for years. When we moved to Northfield, NJ, we once again had them install another in-ground pool for us there. In both cases, we go exactly what we wanted. The staff has always been very friendly. Service calls are always on time and do an excellent job. We buy all of our supplies there and the staff in the store is the best in the area. Always friendly and knowledgeable. If you don't know what you're doing, they don't make you feel stupid (like other pool stores). They give you easy, step by step, instructions to keep your pool beautiful all season. I would definitely recommend Atlas pools for all of your needs. read more

These people play games with the water testing. My pool water was not holding any type of chlorine reading. Their solution was more shock buy more shock. I went through 25 pounds of chlorine in two weeks. then I went to another pool store and they tested my water for phosphates. They gave me the proper chemical to take the phosphates out of my pool water and my chlorine reading was fine after that. Atlases solution to the problem was just put more shock in the pool and spend more money read more

The absolute worst! Do Not Buy A Pool from these people! They will promise you big dreams and deliver the complete opposite ! You can't even get a phone call back during the process. I can't believe they are even in business! You would think you could talk to the person running the job at your house, NO! I've never even laid eyes on him. DO NOT BE FOOLED! Had my pool installed about 14yrs ago. Everything went smooth was very happy with Atlas and their staff. Amazing enough after 13yrs need a liner the same sales person who sold my pool to me was at my door, he sold me a new liner and fill for my filter at a great price. The guys from Atlas came at their appointed time and finished everything in a timely fashion. Atlas has been helpful with getting water right every yr.. Will continue to use them and would recommend Atlas to friend and family. read more

the woman who schedules pool openings has no business being in customer service. she is extremely rude and unprofessional. we tried to schedule an opening and she hung up on us "because our pool is too big." this is despite having used atlas the past three years for openings. just atrocious people skills. i would avoid giving this place business, they think they can walk over customers, former customers in our case. read more

After some difficulties Tom Decker responded to our issues and fixed them to our satisfaction, and even addressed things we hadn't complained about. At the end, we have a beautiful pool, with great equipment - and that deserves a 5 star rating. read more

Very knowledgeable employees! I've been having trouble with green water and the woman walked me through everything. She gave me step be step instructions and even labeled the buckets and marked them. You get 0 stars, for all aspect of an installation that never was. Tom in Construction made several promises and as of this evening has failed to deliver on all of them. New liner paid in full May 28th and still nothing. When you call he is either not there, busy or cannot come to the phone. Therefore you need to physically go there and hope to catch him or abuse the receptionist for a bit. I would never deal with this company again. I would in fact warn all future consumers to go elsewhere if you ever want your job done. We had our pool for 4 years now from Atlas. It makes a great addition to our backyard. We enjoy it every day during the summer. The kids are actually playing almost every day in the pool rather than sitting inside all day. I could not ask for a more professional company with a family feel to it. Any time I need help with maintaining the pool they are always able to take the time and answer my questions. Donna at the shop calls me by name and is always a great help. Even after 4 years the pool still looks new. Atlas always has a great open and close package where they come out open my pool up, check everything over to make sure it is working, let me know if any issues are arising. When the season is over they come out and winterize and cover my pool. It makes my pool very easy to maintain. read more
