Atlantis installed a new air handler, which worked well for cool air; however, on Xmas eve when the temps dropped and we tried to use the heating, it would not work. At first we were told that the tech would charge $400 to come to see about this, and we refused; but finally Ben told us that since it was a new unit, they would waive the charge. Their tech showed up on time and hooked up the heating element, which had never been hooked up, for some reason, meaning that the problem was the fault of Atlantis. By 12/27, we were phoning Atlantis again because the heating element was working overtime and the temp in the house was 86 degrees. This time two techs came and reduced the heat put-out on both the new and the old units. Now they are charging us for the initial visit on the new unit, which they said would be free, because Ben mistakenly thinks they were working on the old unit. We had to pay $457 today, which I think we do not owe. Be careful that you find out exactly what they are going to charge you before you work with these people, as we feel that we have paid an amount that we should not be charged for. read more
