Turns out I needed antibiotics and urgent care diagnosed me with an outer ear infection and only gave me ear drops, making the problem worse. A few weeks after the infection I woke up in the middle of the night with this horrible pain and ringing in my ear and I lost hearing in one ear for weeks. I went to an ent and got put on antibiotics and had to keep seeing him for a few months to get my hearing back in that ear. But there have been times when family first urgent care has been great. I would say if you're going for a standard test, like a strep test or something or if it's a Saturday or Sunday and no one else is open and you're desperate, then they're fine.

We recently had our son there for surgery and the dr will come out or call after the procedure. My one complaint is that the wifi is very poor there and a lot of their communication to families in the waiting room are texts and phone. You dont get good reception, if at all. The dr had tried calling us and got our voice mail and left 2 messages that we had to leave the building to pick up. BUT...the staff called the doctor directly and we were able to speak to him. That meant a great deal to us, knowing that both our doctor and the staff went out of their way for us. Great staff, great care!

But before this pre-op consultation, Dr. Jacobson took the time to share her knowledge and expertise of my condition in my visits to her over the course of two years. Surgery should be a well planned option and that's what Dr. Jacobson did. During each visit we discussed what was working for me and if not, what were my options. She displayed care and concern for my wellbeing and was available for my questions. I never felt rushed when meeting with her. Her appointment hours are always prompt without a long wait time to see her. Her staff is friendly and polite. Her office is well organized and cooperative. And, no one calls back. My mom is in between treatments and in pain and this careless group has made no effort to support and help her as a patient. They asked my mom to visit the office, gave her a prescription that cannot be accepted at any pharmacy and for doing nothing, charged Medicare. Terrible unprofessional and unethical group.
