This place would have been 5 stars. I went here and the PTA's are very kind and patient. The front desk was very sweet and welcoming. I felt comfortable in the facility and my symptoms did improve. I'm sorry to say that my last visit to ATI with the Physical Therapist, I believe her name is Namika, was very poor. I don't know why, but she had an air of impatience and was not being very kind. She showed me an exercise and I tried it, and she immediately shook her head "No." while looking like she was trying not to roll her eyes. This really stressed me out and made me want to leave. I understand people get over stimulated but there are certain ways you shouldn't talk to patients. I hope she sees this and takes the feedback to be a little more careful... I'm glad this happened to me so I can make sure to be kind too when someone is vulnerable. Thanks read more

I came here for massage therapy. The front desk person, Clayton, is great. He was helpful in checking coverage and scheduling appt. Courtney helped with recovering my shoulder. She listened to my concerns. Her massage was the right pressure. Unfortunately, the gal at the front desk, was not helpful. Never gave eye contact, tone of voice was rude, complained about clients after they left the clinic. read more

I called them a scheduled 8 weeks of appointments. I had to miss my first appointment. When I showed up for my second appointment I was told that they couldn't see me because I needed to reschedule the intake appointment. No one called me to let me know that I need to reschedule the intake appointment so when I came for my next appointment I was told that they couldn't see me and that they had cancelled all the appointments that I had set up! And they charged me a co-pay when I wasn't seen! This is a horrible first impression for a business! I'm not sure if I'm gonna even keep the appointments here I have a bad taste in my mouth. read more

They are way too booked and in too small of a space for the number of patients they are scheduling. Try to get earlier or later appointment and those are all booked all the time since only 1 person works during those times. Day appointments are so crowded you can't do your exercises without bumping into someone else. There are a few great people, but few. Walking me through exercises is all they do. Don't see the PT most visits - just an assistant that tells me an exercise while she looks at her computer. Then another exercise while on her computer. Repeat a few times and I leave. I am not getting much quality therapy. Value for your money is very low. Cancellation lists are mythical non-existent entities even though they 'add you' to them. Randomly ask if there is an opening at your preferred time and they reply - oh yes we have an appointment at that time. So why didn't anyone call me since I was "top of the cancellation list?" I called to change my appointment due to a conflict...they moved it. Within the hour I got a text confirming my appointment for the original time. WTF? Decisions are made back at corporate which is multiple states away. Staffing, treatment decisions, addressing concerns - determined by corporate. Which of course, no one from corporate gets involved with actual customers. There is a reason one of their clinics closed. Better to find a place that on focuses patients and individual needs/progress rather than a herd approach where decisions are made to make money rather than help patients. read more

I've been referred to over half a dozen different physical therapy offices over the years, and ATI PT in Newcastle has been by far the best. The first time was in fall/winter 2016 for a car accident related whiplash injury, and just recently went back to address some knee/hip pain. Both times I came away stronger, healthier, and pain-free. Moreover, I was amazed by the speed of my recovery. Unlike all other PT offices I've been to, ATI makes it fun by providing challenging activities under close supervision, rather passive routines and lame electricity pads. Well done, ATI! I am comforted knowing you'll be my first stop anytime I have an injury or need a sports related tune-up. read more

I have been coming here for years and had really good experiences. Recently they opened a new facility in Factoria and this site has gone downhill since. The massage therapist had no clue about my condition. She said I was doing better and cancelled my remaining appointments despite me saying I was still in pain and PT. Will never go back there again. read more

Have been a customer here for years. Called for an appointment and they had no record of me, according to Roman. When I started to supply the information, the kid calls me by the wrong name, spoke over me the entire call, and won't let me book an appointment unless I have insurance information on hand, which in this case I was a victim of a hit and run and don't yet have the drivers insurance information. He actually asked me if I could "just call back another time" when I had more information, and then they could determine availability". I ended up stating that this is too frustrating and I'd rather go somewhere else after this much hassle. This is not a customer-centric company and the other phone staff are absolutely incompetent. The chiropractor in the same building also does massage, fyi to local residents. read more

Catherine Rodriquez is one of the best Physical Therapists that I have seen. Catherine is unusually observant and knowledgeable, ensuring that the client is exercising optimally and never reinforcing bad habits. She is creative, friendly, and flexible. When I announced that i had a goal for the day, she immediately changed plans for me and enabled my success (my knee is healing perfectly according to my wonderful surgeon, Dr. Silas Marshall). I am a retired nurse who worked years in trauma, rehab, etc. who has had a shattered knee (tibial plateau fracture Schatzker level 6) and feel that I am well-positioned to assist others. I hope you are as fortunate as me, and have Catherine for your PT if a need arises. read more

ATI at Newcastle has been far and away been my best physical therapy experience. As a career massage therapist it was important to me to rehab my ACL with someone technically excellent. I was so pleased to find that next-level expertise with Chris and the many others that I worked with over the course of my treatment. I have found these therapists to be knowledgable, professional, encouraging and *engaged*. In some places you feel like a number. Not here. A program was tailored for my ACL rehab goals - we worked hard and had fun doing it. After attending ATI and observing/interacting/working with their team of pro's, I would absolutely recommend this location. I promise I'll do my exercises, guys! read more

FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE! I came here several years ago with good experience and had a good therapist. Plus, they were able to tell me back then what my part of payment would be by the time I came in for my first session. Came back last month for a different problem, coming twice a week. The therapist gave me exercises to do at home. When I came in he had me doing these same exercises...he did very little more. I began questioning to myself why I was paying them just to have me do the very thing there that I was doing at home. Plus, I was feeling no better. So I quit after six sessions. But that wasn't the crowning blow! Each visit I would ask the girl at the main desk what my part of payment would be. She kept saying she had not heard back from my insurance. After the fourth visit when I asked, she could tell I was irritated that she had not followed up with this. She looked quickly at the computer and said my part would be $20 per session. Well, my bill arrived and after insurance paid their part I ended up owing $621 for those six sessions!! Based on their charges before my insurance paid, they charged well over $200 an hour for doing basically nothing! And that "$20 per session" ended up costing me over $100 per session. At that rate, I could have gone and gotten a good massage twice a week and felt much better! This experience has not only turned me off to this location, but to this company as well. read more

I already wrote a review for the physical therapy I received which is all through for me now. This is a shout out to the massage staff. SO GOOD. They are certified cupping therapists (think Michael Phelps and the red circles on his shoulders during his last Olympics). I didn't even know that was a thing offered to the general public. I truly believed it speeded up my recovery immensely. If you don't need PT but you need a massage, come here! read more

This is the old Apple PT office. Some PT changes, but front staff is the same. My son needed some PT for his back. The gal they paired him with was perfect. She was very encouraging and did a lot of research of his issue before deciding on a treatment plan. We are in the middle of changing insurance/COBRA and the office is going to bill us, so we can have some time to get all that resolved instead of pushing for payment up front. In just a few visits my son was feeling better. After more visits his mobility was much increased. He touched his toes for the first time. Huge deal for this kid. He enjoyed going there on site. He has a list of exercises to do at home that are very doable. We are pleased with the services he received here. read more

ATI's employee sick leave policy is accrual based, and resets to 0 every year right at the beginning of flu season. If an employee doesn't have available sick leave, they are left with the choice of taking an unpaid day, or infecting their patients. Most are not paid enough to make the former choice, so if you take your business there, expect to get infected. read more

I have used ATI in Newcastle for two knee replacements. I worked with Chris both times, and Heather filled in when Chris was unavailable. The first thing that I noticed was that the entire staff makes a concerted effort to remember your name. And they greet you with your name each time you have an appointment. Chris was knowledgable and pushed me appropriately. I am active and wanted to get back to my "normal" life as soon as I was able. He provided challenging exercises during my sessions as well as provided additional exercises for me to do at home. After having been there for two knee replacements, I hope I don't have to go back. But if I was unfortunate enough to need physical therapy for another condition, I wouldn't hesitate to use ATI again. As I said, the staff are all so nice and friendly. And even though PT is not something most people look forward to participating in, these people made it almost pleasant. read more

I would give them zero if I could. The services were good and I liked the staff as well as the person that I worked with. However, when it came the billing it was a disaster. I never got any bills from them until one day I got two notices from a collection agency. It was really unpleasant surprise! I called ATI Physical therapy and they told me that they had a wrong address (as the post office returned all the bills to them). They also said that they cancelled the debt with the collection agency which is great but they could at least call me and let me know that I might get the notices. It was really really unpleasant experience. I will not use their services in the future. read more

The staff was great. The PTs I worked with were knowledgeable and friendly. My only real complaint was how the billing was handled. I got one bill for my first appointment and then didn't get another bill for almost two months that included the total for all of my appointments, which was a decent amount of money to have to pay within 30 days. I was able to cover it all but others may not be as fortunate. Separate bills for each appointment would make more sense and be, well, normal. read more

I've been going to ATI for an injury to my back that happened at work. Their coordination with my doctor and L&I has been flawless. I love working with Shawn, he pushes me hard, but it's all to make me better. His team is awesome, they make me feel really welcome and are very encouraging. My back has come a long way since starting with them and I'm back to normal, well probably better as now I'm sitting/lifting with my core and legs instead of my back. I have never used a PT service, and was very hesitant in doing so as I felt I could do it on my own. I was completely incorrect. Having been physically fit my whole life I was surprised to see the procedures and techniques that they utilized in order to expedite my recovery. The service was nothing short of outstanding. The personnel were consistently polite and professional. They set high expectations and provided feedback during and after each session. Shawn (owner) had online videos as well as written forms in case one would like to reference techniques illustrated and done during the PT session. While I hope never to be injured again, if I were, or if you are, I highly recommend Shawn Brenneman's ATI Physical in Newcastle Washington.
