He then came up with a regimen that completely addressed this problem. One huge benefit with Rob compared to trying to figure things out on your own or following online videos are that solutions you find online will typically be generic but Rob finds out what you need and tailors his recommendations, so that as you are starting to fix certain problems he adds additional exercises/stretches. Ted had me on a routine, and within days I could see an improvement on stairs, and just walking around in general. After the sessions, Ted started me on a strengthening program, and even offered a cheaper conditioning package. When conditioning started, I was welcomed, recognized and assisted. The assisting techs are nice, they will stop to check on me never pushing and always offering. I like this place and am happy with the care.

I rely on reviews and felt it was only fair to be honest about my experience at this location. My first two sessions were with Josephine and went well and I was feeling confident in their abilities to help me with the pain in my knee. On my third session, I was scheduled with Ally, a PT assistant, which I had no problem with. She was very sweet, however, from the very beginning, she set me up to begin my exercises and walked away. I've never had a physical therapist not spend time with me to make sure I was doing my exercises correctly and with proper form. Not only was I on my own, but I had to walk over her to tell her I was finished. Each time, she walked back and spent the majority of her/my time socializing and laughing with the guy who always checked me in. When she told me I was finished for that session, I asked her if she wanted to put ice on my knee like the last time, and she asked me if I wanted ice. I look perplexed and asked her if she thought I needed to be iced. She asked me if I was in pain and if I wanted to be iced, that would be fine. I told her that I didn't think I needed to make my own itinerary and she started talking about "modality" and how she was only looking at notes on the laptop to see what was done before. When I went to do my final exercise, I couldn't remember the exact position my rear leg on the floor was supposed to be, so the guy (Ryan, I think), proceeded to show me and Josie happened to be standing next to us and had to correct him when I said that it didn't feel like it was the correct way to do it. He started nodding his head and telling me I was now doing correctly, as if he was taking credit for showing me how to do it. If I hadn't been in such shock, I would have remembered to tell Ally that Josie also manipulated my leg back and forth and spent a good amount of time massaging cocoa butter on my thigh and knee, which she must not have seen in the notes, or didn't feel like doing. Extremely disappointing. After doing some research about ATI, the consensus was that they are considered a "mill" in the physical therapy industry. Next time, I will have to do my research when choosing a physical therapy facility, or try to remember who I used for my sessions in the past. I always got the same therapist and they spent the entire time with me because they genuinely care about the people they are working with. Another observation, I went at different times and it was practically empty each time.

They feel you out as a patient and come up with exercises specific to you. I was coming in after work 3 days a week and wasn't really in the mood to be there ever! For the entire year both of my kids have seen their same therapist (seems to be low turnover here). Their therapists, Meredith and Courtney, spent some time upfront evaluating their needs. They then set some goals for them using the results of the evaluation as well as parental input. Each session they work on a couple of their goals. Sometimes my kids pair up with each other for part of the session, sometimes they work with other kids. I love that there is a bit of socializing involved in their sessions. At the end of each session the therapists take a few minutes to go over what was worked on, give a preview of what is next or talk about how what was worked on can be supported at home. Most importantly, my kids love going. They think they are just there to have fun. They don't realize that what they are doing is working on things that will set them up for success in the future.
