I was staying in Athlone and picked up a brochure for the RTE Fringe. What a great find. One of the events was at this theatre and only cost £5 for a professional performance. The theatre is likely walkable from anyplace you're staying in Athlone and is directly across from St. Mary's Catholic Church (not St. Mary's Church of Ireland). The theater is small-ish and with slanted seats, so all seats are excellent. A small bar provides refreshments at intervals. read more
