I choose to go to Athletico South because my previous experience with the company was good at a different facility. The therapist and my payment plan on that session worked out nicely. This time I went to Athletico South 1655 East San Marnan Drive, Waterloo, Iowa 50702. The physical therapist did good at working around my work schedule (they were aware of my work schedule) and did a good job targeting my health issues. Before my 1st appointment with Athletico South- I checked with Athletico Corp billing dept and was assured I could set up a payment plan for services. Payment plans are also advertised on their Corp website. I never missed a payment and kept in contact with Corp billing to make sure all invoices were added. I have always paid more than my agreed amount monthly payment. Unfortunately, the payment plan was not respected by the staff on-sight at Athletico South. I was handed an outline of my bills & asked to make payment at almost every appointment/phone call when one person was working. The employee even waved the credit card processer in the air for me to see. When I advised the staff member I have a payment plan, I was a greeted with eye rolls and sarcasm. The stress ruining the gains of that PT session. The last straw was last week I made a payment ahead of schedule & more than what was required. Then a hour before my next appointment received a phone call while I was at work. The employee left a voicemail stating I should bring in some money to pay on my bill. My bill is not past due. I just made a payment and I am getting calls while I am working. I have a email from Corp billing showing my payment plans is in place and the phone call setting the payment plan is recorded. I have informed this staff member that I have payment plan at least 10 times on different occasions in person and on the phone. Now! this is harassment and does nothing to improve anyone's health.. Please do not go to Athletico South the stress of being harassed to pay your invoices that are already attached to your credit card on a payment plans and not past due! Is not worth the stress this causes, the humiliation and being treated poorly along with the interruption of the work day. This company's billing practices is opening them up for a lawsuit. After having broken my hip I was searching for a rehab facility. I had several in the area to choose from and I was l led to choose Athetico South in Waterloo. From the moment I walked in the door I knew I had chosen the right one. Korey, the receptionist was always very friendly and helpful. This facility is very professionally run yet the staff are really nice. I had the opportunity to have Shanna and Ashley help me in a couple instances but my main therapist was Krista with Taylor. I really appreciated that I was pushed to do more than I thought I could and I know that after 4 months I would not have recovered like I did had that not happened. If there was a rating I could find it would be 6 out of 5 stars. read more
