I also liked the waterfall and the detailed map in the front entryway. There was also an elevator along with stairs and a number of parking spaces. I saw Dr. Nguyen and she was in the allergy clinic on the second floor. Her staff/that office was very helpful since I did not receive the snail mail copy of questionnaire and I was able to fill it out in person. The only thing I felt a little awkward with was when it came time for me to get my allergy Test done, Dr. Nguyen, female doctor left the room and a male nurse came in to put the different allergens on my back as I was wearing a patient gown that was open in the back without my bra. Kind of awkward since all my encounters prior to this were female doctors or Female receptionist. I wish I could've asked for a woman to come in beforehand, but whatever! I needed to get the allergy test done and I felt awkward anyways, but I think they should ask ahead of time if you would feel comfortable with a male person touching your back without your bra on. Everything else was fine and he was professional, even though he was a male nurse. I just think it was in my head. Lol.

As someone who has been a Stanford Health Care patient for 15-years, this made the experience even more disheartening. I arrived 2-minutes late beyond the unknown 10-minute grace period policy and was told that my 2-minute delay constituted an automatic rescheduling of my appointment per the clinic's policy. On many occasions, Stanford Health Care has kept me waiting well past my scheduled appointment time. Despite their own lack of timeliness, I continued to be a loyal patient and extended understanding. Unfortunately, that same courtesy was not afforded to me. What was more frustrating wasn't just the policy itself, but how rigidly and unempathetically it was enforced. There was no prior written notice of this rule, no initial warning, no phone call, and no attempt to understand my personal situation or the urgency of my health concerns. Instead, I was met with a cold adherence to technicalities over patient care. For a well-known medical institution that claims its mission is "Healing humanity through science and compassion, one patient at a time," this experience felt like the complete opposite. There was no sense of compassion, no individualized consideration - just a blanket policy applied without regard for the patient in front of them. Women's health already faces enough barriers, and my experience like this only reinforced feelings of being dismissed and devalued as a woman. I left feeling unseen, unheard, denigrated, and frankly shocked that this is the standard of care being upheld by Stanford Health Care. Overall healthcare professionals should prioritize patient wellbeing above administrative rigidity, especially in fields as critical as women's health. The policy itself, along with the way it was handled by staff, felt both unethical and unprofessional. My experience was deeply discouraging. I expected better from Stanford Health Care whom I have trusted for over a decade as my medical provider. I hope Menlo Medical Clinic, seriously and proactively reflect on how their policy and actions affect the very people they are meant to treat with compassion and care.

There is a procedure (radio frequency ablation) that has been very effective for me, but it only last 6-8 months. After a lengthy series of prerequisites, it is covered by insurance. I completed all those through Stanford. The first time they applied for authorization for the RFA, they failed to include information on the prerequisites. Between the insurance appeal and Stanford scheduling, that delayed my pain relief by several months. The second time I need the procedure, all was fine. Yesterday I was scheduled for the third time, and after I checked into the surgery center, I got a call from Stanford that insurance had denied the authorization. So I left and cancelled the procedure. I just got the notice of denial, and it is clear Stanford provided incomplete information. If I'm lucky, I'll get it straightened out and have the procedure in 3-4 months. Totally inexcusable. On another matter, I recently had an urgent referral from my primary care doctor to a surgeon for a hernia. After two weeks of my referral not even being entered into their system, I went to El Camino Health. I was seen and had the surgery before I even heard from Stanford to schedule my first appointment.

I really appreciate the Stanford students, staff, and physicians getting together every weekend to provide free health care to the community. I am writing on behalf of my grandparents. This review is more or less the same for the other free clinic run by Stanford Med School. My family has pretty good PPO insurance, but because my grandparents are visiting on a 6 month visa from China, our insurance doesn't cover them. Due to their various medical conditions, it was tough finding a place for them to be seen by a doctor. Arbor free clinic is absolutely free which is definitely a plus. My grandparents told me that they had a very good time here. The Stanford Physicians were very knowledge and the staff were all very war and friendly. Definitely recommended!

I trust him and trust his opinion (shout out to Doctor Kim at the Fremont Clinic, he's the GOAT). I've been to Palo Alto VA several times now and trust them unequivocally. They have a partnership with Stanford Medical, so when I go to this VA campus, it "feels" like Stanford. In other words, the bedside manner, quality of care, attention to detail, etc have all been on par with Stanford and Sutter Health (two organizations which I hold in high esteem). I've been a licensed healthcare provider myself for close to 20yrs, I have worked in medical field in some capacity non-stop since 1999, close to 30yrs now... Suffice to say, I am very vigilant and pay attention to the little things. I advocate for my own care and I hold hospitals to account when I or my family are being seen. Palo Alto VA hasn't let me down once, I've seen them for routine issues, both inpatient and outpatient. To include a surgery (hernia repair) - VA PACHS is solid. In closing - if any of my fellow veterans have had issues or poor service from other VA hospitals, VA PACHS is different. They break the mold & I firmly believe they go above & beyond to care for us. Give them a chance.

Exceptional Orthopedic & Hand Surgeon - Dr. William Wang is Simply the Best!…read more I've unfortunately know Dr. Wang all too well because both of my sons have needed his surgical expertise after separate dirt-bike accidents--and I couldn't be more grateful that he was the surgeon assigned to them. Last year, my older son suffered a badly broken collarbone. Dr. Wang performed the surgery and the outcome has been perfect: perfect healing, full range of motion returned, and barely a visible scar. His bedside manner with a nervous teenage boy (and a worried mom) was calm, kind, and reassuring every step of the way. This past weekend my younger son had a serious hand injury requiring immediate surgery. Once again Dr. Wang took the case, and his reputation as one of the top hand surgeons in the area is completely deserved. He explained everything clearly, answered all of our questions without rushing, and put my son at ease before wheeling him into the OR. We are only a few days post-op, but the early results are remarkable and we have total confidence in his continued recovery under Dr. Wang's care. Dr. Wang and his entire team at Kaiser Redwood City are professional, compassionate, and extraordinarily skilled. In the middle of two scary situations for our family, he turned what could have been overwhelming experiences into ones where we always felt we were in the very best hands--literally. We feel incredibly fortunate to have Dr. William Wang as our orthopedic and hand surgeon. I recommend him without the slightest hesitation to anyone needing orthopedic care, especially complex hand or upper-extremity injuries. Thank you, Dr. Wang--you've now fixed two of my boys and given this mom tremendous peace of mind. Highly, highly recommend.

Not sure, why here on yelp, its rating is low (could be that they improved significantly recently). The first thing we saw was a brand new cheerful building, which was a good sign. We were greeted at the entrance and directed to the second floor. There were no long lines there. Could be just the lucky time (it was a middle of a work day, so maybe that's why). In any case, there were quite a number of patients, but there were also many receptionists, who worked fast. So there was no waiting, which is always a pleasant surprise in any doctor office. Everybody were super friendly and nice! And then we met Dr. Owyang! He is unbelievable! He did more (as far as diagnosing the issues) that all previous doctors combined.
