Today's lunch was a special menu requested by the many English people who live in the area. Being an American, I felt a little sneaky getting one of the only ten seats available at the lunch. The starter of smoked salmon with horseradish cream, accompanied by a selection of breads, was a perfect way to begin. The most elegant fish and chips followed, complete with the best mushy peas I have ever had. And the sticky toffee pudding with a scoop of homemade Bailey's ice cream had us full to the brim, but so happy we were there.
I've now been fortunate to experience the restaurant side of Le Calabash twice, which makes me want to sign-up for one of their cooking courses soon.
