After canceling my membership We thought we would try one more time after 2 years They cleaned up and hired new people Keeping the place cleaner Thanx read more

I was in from out of town visiting my parents for the holiday weekend. ATC was nearby so I thought I would give it a try. Don at the front desk was great. So welcoming and accommodating. Something to be said for southern hospitality. The gym is clean and bright with ample machines, free weights, and cardio. Really happy to find ATC and have a great workout. Thank you Don! read more

Love this fitness center. Very helpful knowledgeable staff with a caring way with all their customers. Extremely clean and plenty of well lit parking. read more

I've been a member of ATC Fitness, specifically the Bartlett location, for about six years now and I CANNOT recommend this gym. The facility itself is spacious and caters to the average gym-goer. It has the majority of the compound, accessory, and aerobic equipment necessary to stay well-rounded and in shape. These include, but are not limited to: squat racks, bench presses, cable machines, Lifetime Fitness accessory machines, ellipticals, treadmills, dumbbells, exercise balls, and mats. The equipment, rubber flooring, mirrors, and bathrooms are routinely vacuumed, wiped down, and cleaned. I would say it is comparable to most commercial gyms. These positive qualities are why I've recommended this gym to multiple friends and family members. Up until recently, I've had no issues with this gym. However, one of the newer rules (about a year old) is no gym bags on the floor. As a powerlifter, I use several accessories, including wrist wraps, a belt, knee sleeves, my workout plan, and water. For convenience, I bring my gym bag with my gear and tuck it away (against the wall or rack) where it is not a tripping hazard. A little over a year ago, I received a phone call from the current manager, Donald Ross, informing me about the gym's policy on bags on the floor. For nearly a year, I started putting my bag in the locker room and would carry my gear individually to each piece of equipment I used. However, during that time, I noticed that many other gym members continued to bring their bags onto the gym floor without any enforcement of the policy. A couple of weeks ago, I began bringing my bag again. Today, I received a call from Donald, who told me that he had received complaints from staff about the gym bag, and after being confronted by them, my membership would be canceled and not renewed. The only time I have ever been confronted by a staff member was several months ago when I was asked to use mats under the barbell when deadlifting (since the gym does not have deadlift platforms). Other than that, I can honestly say I was never confronted by staff about my gym bag specifically. I will say that the majority of the staff is friendly and typically consists of college and high school students. It is disappointing that, after being a regular member of this gym for so long and positively recommending it to others, my time at ATC is ending this way. Nonetheless, this is my honest, full review. read more

DO NOT SIGN UP!!!! I loved this place about 10 years ago but now its gone way down hill. Nobody is ever manning the front desk. I called to get a number to cancel today and after 5 phone calls I only got the answering machine. I payed extra for access to the hydro therapy machines but nobody was ever there to unlock them for me so I got to use it twice in the six months I had a membership. If you want to cancel you have to create a profile on some other website and then pay $25 just to cancel you membership. They told me when i signed up that the $60 up front was suppose to cover that. Do yourself a favor and just pay the same amount for Bartlett Rec Center. You get access to way more and they don't upcharge you every chance they get. read more

Name: sheila Dotson Email: dotsonsheila@gmail.com Location: Bartlett Message: I have been a member of ATC for 23 years always paid my bill on time never late. Today 4/21 I was rudely approached by a worker who interrupted me while I was in conversation with others to tell me that my membership dues needed to be paid by 5/17. She spoke over our conversation and insulted me making it appear that I was irresponsible about my dues! I informed the worker that I just received a postcard reminder 4 days ago, and I HAD NEVER NOT PAID MY ACCOUNT of 23 years! Inexcusable behavior like this needs to be addressed. Hopefully Rob will manage to resolve this so it does not happen to another ATC member of good standing. ATC is not the only show in town so let this be an example of how not to work with customers. ATC Fitness - Residue from equipment handles. - Gyms Near Me - Bartlett, Tennessee

Workers are nice but young and give zero f*cks. Patrons are the epitome of douchebag. Stay TF away

What's there not to like about this place?!?!? I joined ATC, about 3 years ago, and recently I have started putting my membership to use. They offer two different membership options ($15 if going to only one location or $27 you can go to any ATC location). I have the $27 membership, gives me flexibility. This location is usually crowded, but they have more than enough equipment to accommodate all. I also like that they are open 24/7...rain, sleet, and snow...This is the largest ATC location I have visited. Now here are the cons... -do not offer any type of workout classes -no pool -annual membership fees read more

ATC Fitness - Trying - Gyms Near Me - Bartlett, Tennessee

Spacious, clean, and great variety of equipment that you don't find at other local gyms.

Great gym, great staff, always ensuring weights are put away and equipment is wiped off, very friendly and understanding. I see a bunch of people complaining as if the gym is dirty, as one person posted a picture of a wipe that was "dirty" from an old bar that was most likely iron. I'd you gotta complain about some iron switch bars, or gyms since you clearly got too much privilege. Only thing I would say is get newer weightlifting bars so these Karen's and chads stop bitching about trivial shit on top of that these people only make minimum wage and are always taking good care of the gym. read more

PLEASE BE AWARE!! DO NOT JOIN!! You are not able to call and cancel, appear in person and cancel, or cancel through their website. I just spent over $30 to send them registered mail, which is what they require to cancel. I am sure they count on the lucrative benefit of making it so inconvenient to cancel that they get a countless number of monthly payments to line their shady pockets. Horrible business model. Will never join again. Stay away. You have been warned. read more

I have been thinking about joining a gym for some time. After asking some people and looking online, I still hadn't decided. Then I saw their TV ad for $15 a month, no commitment. This sounded like a great deal, so I signed up. I am very impressed at what my $15 per month is getting me. I've been at both busy and not-so-busy times, and have never had trouble finding a machine to work out on. The place is also very clean. People seem to do a good job of cleaning up after themselves, and even the locker rooms are kept pretty neat. The biggest surprise for me was that for $15 a month, the place even has little private showers you can use after you work out. I assumed that $15, no commitment would deliver little more than a minimalist gym with next to no facilities. So far, I've been really impressed with the experience with ATC. Hopefully I can keep myself disciplined enough to keep going! read more

Upgrading ATC to four stars. I've started using their "Smart Start" training program, and I'm hooked. It's basically a weight training guide for beginners, which is exactly what I needed. Rosemary, my trainer who set me up with all the info, is great. I'm going on close to three weeks of the training and I feel awesome. I have always lifted weights without a plan, sort of just wandering around the machines. Now I have guidance, and it's really starting to show. ATC has the resources you need, you just have to ask! It's very easy to just go in there and do your own thing, but if you need guidance or have questions, the staff knows what they're talking about. read more

Customer service/staff: Awesome! Didn't try too hard to push me into a "membership" ( you can do month-to-month here for $15). Was greeted warmly by both members of the staff upon arriving. Facility: VERY clean on the inside. Equipment looked like it was up to date/maintained. Planning on working off food/drinks I talk about on here from now on. read more

It's 24-hour fitness but if you need to consult with anybody to help with your program and you have to work to pay the dues, you're really out of luck here. They start taking appointments at 9am and stop at 7pm. Sounds like ok hours unless you work downtown til 6 and get home and 6:30 still needing to change clothes. They have no care for your schedule. I've been a member for over a year now and rarely went in. That was foolishness on my part and I should have canceled long ago. But I told them I was considering canceling after not being able to make two 7pm appointments and they don't seem at all phased that a customer is unsatisfied - and a REALLY low maintenance customer at that since I've rarely visited. To cancel membership, you have to email a billing company so it's not as easy as it is to sign up and I can't wait to see the red tape that comes of that. I can't speak for others but I'll find a gym that values me as a customer and understands that I have to work to pay their dues and schedules appropriately for people who work. Oh, they don't take appointments Friday thru Sunday if you're thinking of weekends. Yeah I'm a need to the gym and I want a little coaching but I just don't think that's too much to ask when you get $15 a month for a quick service. 2 stars for having great equipment. Minus a star for being full at the hours when I can go and minus two more stars for uncaring, poorly scheduled customer service. read more

Note: I know nothing about gyms or fitness, I won't go into too much detail about the quality of the gym as I lack the experience to judge certain aspects. With that in mind, this gym is very friendly for beginners. At the moment, the monthly fee is $15 per month, which is a fantastic rate. Of course there are some startup fees that amount to around $100 for your first month. This includes a one time processing fee of $49 and a yearly fee of $29.90. This can also be upgraded to $25 per month to include access to all ATC gyms and includes free tanning. What is most impressive to me is the 'Smart Start Training' that is included with your membership at no extra cost. That is the deal maker for me. As far as I can tell, the gym looks pretty nice. The machines and free weights seem to be in very good condition. There is a healthy mix of people. Everything is very clean, which surprised me, I expected everything to smell like body sweat, but it is actually quite pleasant inside the gym. This is a family owned establishment that has been in business in Memphis for a long time. I recommend this gym for beginners like me. If I end up using this gym and becoming more familiar with it, I will review again within a year. read more

The specific place here in Memphis is fine I guess but the problem is the company itself. The customer service is virtually nonexistent I went to their website to ask them to cancel my membership and it took a good week for them to get back to me. After they did I was instructed to send another email to a different address and they have a policy in place where you need to hold onto your membership 30 days after cancelling just so they can suck a little extra money out of you. Very frustrating. read more

After having been a member for nearly 4 years, I tried to cancel my membership only to learn I would have to pay for an additional 30 days. I have used this facility once this year and am 77 years old. WHAT A RIPOFF!!! read more

Great gym the location is nice and there is plenty of equipment for everyone. One thing I am regretting after being with this gym for months is the billing system. I didn't want to go to the gym anymore during these times so I cancelled my membership online but apparently I was charged 2 extra months because they require an extra email sent to their billing company. I feel like this extra step is just to swindle money out of people who weren't told about this last part. The particular is fine but the brand of ATC has lost a lot of my respect. read more

This gym is neat and clean, but their lack of sanitizer bottles and paper towels is disturbing I mean I pay you 30.00 a month and you can't purchase botttles and paper towels for that? I had to walk to the other side of the gym just to clean my treadmill and think how many people are actually going to do that? Not many... which questions how clean are the machines?? read more

Equipment not properly maintained. Very rude and unprofessional employees. Also the cancel anytime thing is bullshit since they're gonna charge you for another month after you decide to cancel. read more

The concept is great. HOWEVER, they encouraged me to bring a frind to work out since I was new ton working out and didn't know the equipment or how to use it. A friend would meet me at the gym to help and we were told he could not. I explained that he is not a professional trainer. No money or favors exchanged. He did this for me because he's my friend. They forbade him from helping me in the gym and told me to see the attendant(s) if I needed assistance with the machines. When I went back to the gym alone and sought assistance from the attendant, she came over and ran very quickly through how to use the machine. She was not the least bit interested in helping me. For this reason, I have to give this gym a bad score. If you are a person who is already fit and trained on the equipment, it's probably a very good deal for you. However, if you are a person like me who needs assistance (even from a willing friend), this is not the place for you. Then, I called to cancel the membership. I was told there is a 30-day cancellation. I called on 1/7/14 and I was told I was billed on 1/3/14 and since 30 days will take me to 2/7/14, I would also have to pay full fee for February. I emailed the auto-bill place to stop the autobill and received an email that for the duration of the membership, the fee would increase from $16/mo to $21.43 per month. I think this is bull. If the cancellation policy is 30 days, they should prorate to 2/7/14 instead of charging for the full month of February. Some sneaky tactics, if you ask me. read more

Great place to work out,My only complaint is that i have yet to find a piece of exercise equipment that while watching TV when exercising that you can listen in stereo. Have tried multiple ear buds, Most of the time you have to fiddle with the insertion of the jack just to get mono. The other problem also concerns their TV's,they have the contrast set so dark that if you are watching a night scene all you can see is teeth and eyeballs. read more

really a good place to work out. very clean extremely nice staff. the only complaint is the music they play in the weight room. I think it's grunge rock and it's horrible, with much cursing. if I had a child I or spouse, I certainly wouldn't expose them to such language. For example I heard the words Sh^#t, MFer, and bit&(ch. today. this is not family friendly especially in this area. read more
