Update: Still one of my favorite facilities that I have been…read moreto, the ceiling height is amazing and there's adequate space to do ATP's. The lighting could be better on certain courts.. uhem courts 1, 2, 3, but my friends and i love coming here because honestly we know these courts inside out. We know which are the good courts and which courts have some hiccups, we come here so often know where the dead spots are on certain courts but with all that the prices at night for private courts cant be beat. One of my friends had a bad experience recently and I'm glad the owners took her experience into consideration and addressed the issue pertaining that specific employee. (if you scroll through all the bad reviews on google, its always about that one specific employee.) This place has become so popular that it is always booked out 2 weeks in advance. Looking forward to seeing how this place continues to grow and improve. Love the majority of the courts here especially their newer ones court 11&12. It has a little more privacy and prevents balls from flying all over into other peoples courts and vice versa. Some courts especially court 2 is less desirable in my opinion, it's dark and hard to focus or see the ball. Some courts do have water dripping from ceiling during rainy/ snowy days but it's not significant enough to become a hazard. Appreciate that they now have 24 hour options available. All of their staff are amazing except the one senile old guy, he's just miserable. (IYKYK) We come here regularly and seeing him just ruins your day/mood. Overall good courts with no dead bounces, adequate overhead space and lighting and clean bathrooms. There's parking to the side of the building (across the street) and in the back, however on snowy days it is a dangerous trek.

The place is clean, people are nice. Kids, hubby and I had a lot of fun. We have a favorite court…read morebut I'm not saying which one LOL

Fantastic place with LOTS of different activities, classes, and lots of space. VERY expensive…read more Yes, they have many small towels for gym use, and larger ones for the locker room and showers, pools, etc. I don't use any tennis, pickleball, or the group classes. The Spin classes used to be GREAT and may still be. But my schedule has changed... One would expect a parking lot with less potholes and legible parking space painted lines; but the parking lot and the grounds keeping has been neglected. There is an appearance of high class but for what they charge, the pool area is rather old...the weight room has mostly older equipment; they do seem to be updating some of their bicycling and treadmills, etc..but they are so slow at it....they are always a couple years behind with their equipment updates....Why should Work Out World have newer and better equipment than The Atlantic Club...????? It seems management is currently seeking to save money. Maybe something about the clientele: Older people and their grandchildren home from college. Unfortunately many of the classes' time scheduling are not suitable for my schedule...if I didn't have to work, I'd be golden! It seems the ones I wanted to do are when I work. The trainers on duty are often talking amongst themselves, or on their phones...as often as they are putting weight room equipment in order...they will certainly answer your questions about certain exercises, or how to use equipment All the employees are courteous and very friendly and helpful. The clothing/gear store doesn't have much I can use. Mostly women's apparel and accoutrements. There is a point system that I have yet to figure out...one accumulates points for purchases and just checking in at the front desk. Men's locker room: Although there are plenty of lockers, the layout is horrendous, and I hear about it almost every time I am in there: Not enough room to dress. The rug is nasty in the locker area. Someone replaced an old shower nozzle with a nice newer one but left the loose spigot handle sitting there without fixing it. There must be an attitude of indifference in the workers... I really like the place, but for the amount they charge....OY ! Yes, it is cool to see lots of expensive cars in the parking lot, but don't their owners care about how TAC is going downhill?

I visited Manasquan for the first time in several years today and I was shocked at the level of disrepair evident everywhere in the club. The men's locker room was particularly disappointing, and the showers were frankly unsanitary and covered in mold. What was once a lifestyle club with immaculate facilities is now substandard to the $29/month clubs. It's embarrassing to be a member of the Atlantic Club now.

But the people at Dave & Busters will point you in the right area and then you can always go back there for other fun events. I do like this empty second floor mall space has been repurposed into something unexpected. You book ahead of time, get a code to come in, then have to use a vending machine for equipment. This actually didn't work for us, and it was difficult to track down any employee at the many courts to get help. It's a bit of automation at the expense of customer service, but eventually we were able to actually get the equipment (which is buy only, not renting.) As an inexperienced group, the employee gave us an overview of rules but just said to focus on trying to hit the ball back and forth. We did end up having a good time. We were not serious players, but we got some good movement in. We were going to sneak a little more time, but a group did come in the next block, so don't expect to go over your hour (or however long your time). We rented the 2 court options, so there was inevitable some crossover with hits into each other's games, but we were keeping it friendly. I could see the proximity could bother people. I'm glad if it gets some traction as a space. Otherwise, it's an eerily quiet upstairs. There is a bathroom down a silent winding hallway nearby. Plenty of parking as well.

Bill was a great associate, showing my friend and I around the store to gather our items. He made sure it was a positive and fun experience from beginning to end. Part of the experience was choosing vhs' and cds to break. It felt like a time capsule because I seen so many movies/records that I didn't want to shatter. We got a complementary drink before and I was able to break that as well. Overall great experience. Would recommend (and were planning to go back to indulge in their paint section/room.
