We enjoyed this educational aspect as well as the number of exhibits that could be experienced directly. My kids were big fans of the touch tank where they touched different varieties of skates and rays. The fish all seemed quite happy to interact with us. Many of the exhibit tanks are smaller, which isn't a drawback but a bonus:they are so well set up that you always know what you are looking at and the fish are right there in front of you, not hiding in some dark corner. It's definitely worth it to attend one of the feeding times. My children got to have personalized attention by one of the aquarium experts during feeding times: They held sea stars, had fish nibble bread right out of their hands, and learned interesting new facts about what to look for the next time they see a tide pool. Highly recommend. It was €30 for our family of four, parking available in abundance either in their lot or up and down the main street in front of the aquarium. Enjoy a stroll on the nearby beach when you're done or grab tea and hot chocolate at the attached cafe (Arabica).

The facility is well-maintained and the play area for small children is conveniently hidden away from the commotion of the bigger kids by a partial wall. There is an inflatable bounce castle with slide, an indoor soccer/basketball area, as well as a very large structure with climbing, slides, ball pits, bridges and other obstacles. The location of the food/cafe area is rather centrally located so it's convenient for parents to chat, have a cup of tea, and keep an eye on things. There are a good variety of choices of snacks and meals for the kids and the bathrooms are decent with a baby changing area included. Most of the staff are quite friendly and helpful with a few duds. The owner is almost present, which is nice. Overall, highly recommend for those gloomy days.

The facility has a Museum, but the real fun is the grounds around it. Think rolling Irish meadows - about 100 acres. They have trails for people that have never ridden before, water play area for the horses, and huge meadows with many jumps. My 16-year-old daughter has been riding for the past 5 years. She was in heaven. She rode Princess, a small white pony. That pony has some moves! She can jump her height. I'm 6'2" and they set me up with "Mr. Big". Cost was approx. $35/hour (the Euro is trading at 1.25/dollar) per rider, plus I gave a 20 Euro tip to our guide.
