When I was in high school, she was great at helping me manage the wealth of essays I had to complete as well as providing valuable feedback and perspective to improve and strengthen the essays. She was a major reason why I got accepted into my top choice schools including the University of Pennsylvania, University of Notre Dame, Cornell University, and the University of Michigan. I am now a sophomore in college, and still reach out to Ann for advice and feedback regarding ongoing opportunities at the university.

Together, we narrowed down which type of school I would like based on my personality and preferences. Ann put together a list of schools I would like based on the questions she provided. When I narrowed down my choices, she helped me understand the college app (online website where a student can apply to multiple colleges at once) and helped me create a resume. We were then able to brainstorm ideas for my college essay. Overall, Ann's help made the college process a lot less stressful! I recommend contacting Ann if any juniors or rising seniors are confused or overwhelmed when applying to schools. Also the earlier you start applying or getting ready to apply the better! I applied to some rolling admission colleges in the summer leading up to senior year and started off the school year knowing I was already accepted to at least one college!

One of the things we valued most was the hands-on support with his writing. Rona and Katie worked with him in live sessions on his essays, helping him find his voice and shape his ideas into something authentic and compelling. That kind of in-the-moment coaching as well as the written feedback that he received was extremely meaningful and it pushed him to produce his strongest work. Beyond the writing, Rona and Katie suggested colleges that aligned with his interests and goals, helped him tell a clear story through his activities, and brought out his strengths and unique qualities in his writing. Their guidance was always rooted in what was right for him specifically, and that made all the difference in how his applications came together. In the end, he was accepted to the University of Miami, his top choice college, and we couldn't be happier.

While the most intense part of the counseling happened during the later part of her junior year and into the beginning of her senior year, Rona and her team provided thoughtful, structured guidance throughout the entire process. They advised my child on how to best use her time for each of her summer breaks for different purposes, from exploring what interested her during freshman summer to participating in research program following her junior year which greatly strengthened her application. My child worked with a career counselor of the team to explore career interests. Rona and other members of her team advised my child on course selections for each academic year, formulation of different essay topics, and later the intense process of essay development during which Rona and a writing coach provided multiple rounds of edits for my child. The team was knowledgeable about the college admissions landscape. They helped our child stay on track and build her confidence and independence during what could have been a stressful process. What stood out most was how they focused on my child as a unique individual and guided her accordingly. Oriel Admissions helped my child present her authentic self in the strongest possible way and we believe their guidance played a pivotal role in my child's successful early decision admission into Smith College. We are grateful for their guidance and would highly recommend them to any family navigating the college admissions journey.

I was apprehensive of using a consultant at first, but after talking to many colleagues, I quickly noticed that it was more common than expected. Jennifer provided that final validation I needed in my last applications, primarily with my essays and interview preparation. I came ready with my story for school before we started working together, but she had those resources ready just in case. For my essays she ensured that my voice was consistent and authentic, and also that I highlighted characteristics in myself that the schools were looking for. For interviews, she provided guides for each school that invited me to interview and also did a couple of mock interviews. Yes, consultants are expensive and I was fortunate to be in a position to use one. If it's outside your budget, nothing to fear - you can still get into a great school. But if it is within your means, it's worth considering.

As an Australian, I was not familiar with the requirements and was worried about making a great impression. Susan provided outstanding guidance throughout this complicated process. She really helped me make it manageable and streamlined. During her process, I also learnt things about myself and my career direction that I will take with me, far beyond the applications. Susan was approachable, insightful, helpful and a reassuring presence through out. Working with Stratus you will put in the hard work but your applications will be far superior to what you can accomplished alone. I highly recommend their services if you are looking to apply for the best public policy schools in the world.
