Clean safe area. If you haven't been to SP before here is what we learned:…read more - Typically don't flush toilet paper (we didn't know and this hotel it seemed to go down ok) - Don't drink tap water (get tons of water bottles, the tap here at the Hilton might be OK but it isn't stated) - Starbucks and most of attached mall are closed on weekends - Hotel staff speak fluent English but not nearby workers at mall - Most food nearby is just meat, nothing else really. Room service had some good options and saved the day providing us with much needed fluids and fiber. Overall a very nice hotel. I recommend staying here if you are visiting from the US. One minor issue we had with the hotel was the room AC adjustments didn't work. Hotter, colder, it doesn't matter it always blasts as cold as possible. They also don't have a heater so we had to request a mobile heater which they brought to the room.

It is very nice and it has great views of the city from my suite I can see Ponte Estaiada bridge it is beautiful. On the 28th floor there is an infinity pool a well equipped gym and on the 29th floor there is a Amazonian spa. You can get an hour and a half massage for about US$90. I'm highly recommending this hotel if you want to visit São Paulo and style.

This review should probably be only 3 stars, but I so enjoyed the staff at the hotel, that I…read morecouldn't bring myself to rate it less. The location is fantastic; just across the street from a big shopping center, it was easy to get to restaurants and buy things you needed. The lobby is beautiful, and the staff I spoke with at check in/check out had almost perfect english (which is important, as my Portuguese is very bad). The restaurant was nice, the buffet was always filled and provided many options. The hospitality was outstanding - the woman who made up my room each day was incredibly sweet, she humored my bad Portuguese and had a conversation with me each morning, the restaurant staff was always friendly, and the doormen were helpful. I felt welcomed and safe at this hotel. But... I didn't LOVE the room. The twin beds were small and hard. The couch had seen better days. And lights were rough, the bathroom had not enough light, and the lamps in the main room sometimes didn't work. HOWEVER there were some good parts of the room, the air conditioning always worked, the rooms were quiet, and the wifi was reliable. The stay here was convenient for work purposes, welcoming, and comfortable, but not as luxurious as the website leads you to believe. If you come with a friendly attitude and an expectation of 5-star service with moderate/3-star accommodations, you will not be disappointed.

One of the four came as described. Missing key elements like juice with continental breakfast and the bacon promised on a club sandwich.

Ibis budget... Honestly if it wasn't for the staff I would have given this place two stars. The…read moreshower is extremely low water flow coming straight out of the center of the celling. No shampoo, no conditioner, no lotion only a small bar of soap. No bidet, no phone to talk to the receptionist. There are only two plugs in the bedroom so for my mom who has a medical device there is nothing near enough the bed she can use. Breakfast isn't included but it is near the mall. Maybe if I was in my teens... But traveling with my senior mother and being in my mid 30s there it would be unlikely that I would to chose to come back here. The staff though was absolutely amazing! They were helpful, provided solution's to my mom's concerns and helped us get through the night. I'm super impressed with the inperson customer service. We did end up switching rooms to a handicap room since my mom needed a plug near the bed. Pros Brasileiros.

The only consolation is an in-house restaurant but then who would want to come to Rio and eat at this very mediocre place. I'm very disappointed for the price paid.

The Grand Hyatt São Paulo is located along the Pinheiros River in Southwest Sao Paulo. The hotel is…read moreabsolutely beautiful but is remotely located and will require a taxi or rideshare to everywhere you go. There is a nice public train that runs close to the hotel and will connect you to the other parts of the transit system, including subway lines. The cost is 5 Real, one way, cash preferred. As is most 5 star hotels, we were greeted as we pulled up in our car and was offered luggage service, with a smile. We were warmly greeted by Sophie at the front desk. She was extremely friendly and helpful, announcing a big upgrade to the club level floor while she explained our American Express fine hotel benefit. She made the check in process stress free and pleasant. The room, 2027, had an amazing view of the bridge, Ponte Estaiada Octavio Frias de Oliveira. The furnishings were slightly dated but still functioned well. The room was clean and smelled great. It was a large room with a nice desk and oversized nightstands on each side of the bed. There were lots of plugs, but most were not universal plugs, so be sure to bring a European adaptor. There were two US/BRAZIL plugs but be sure your device can accept 220V or be prepared to fry the thing you plug in! The kind sized bed had high quality sheets and a selection of foam and feather pillows. The room temperature showed 18C (64F) did not seem right. It felt closer to 73F, which is hot for us when there is no airflow in the room. We requested and quickly received a fan which helped with the temperature. The bathroom was huge with a 10-foot rain shower, toilet, bidet, large tub, and huge closet with built in safe. They supply nice cotton robes and flip flops. The hotel uses single use toiletries, which was a bit disappointing for a modern, 5 star hotel. The supplied single use toiletries were larger but lacked the quality feel (and smell) of something in a 5 star hotel. The one exception was the bar glycerin soap, which was the only bathroom item that was geared for a higher end hotel. The Grand Club, located on our floor, was very nice. The staff, led by Ernesto during the day, was super accommodating and friendly. The evening crew was just as nice. A nice surprise was the availability of liquor in addition to wine and beer. They also make specialty drinks by request, a nice touch and something most loyalty lounges have eliminated. The location of this hotel is NOT ideal but the service that this hotel provides more than makes up for having to get a car to everywhere! The hotel deserves a 5 star rating.
