This is such a great museum if you have any interest in the history of medical imaging or the history of x-rays. Bill Brennan is the director of the museum, and he has collected wonderful and historic examples of what was once used in medical imaging across the ages, starting with the discovery of x-radiation in 1895 by Dr. Roentgen. There are several interactive exhibits for you to enjoy, as well as several exhibits explaining modern medical imaging technologies as well as an interesting counter showing the number of radiologic procedures being performed across the country in different modalities.
If you find yourself in Albuquerque and have an interest in medical imaging, you should stop by the ASRT office and tour this free museum. You might even get a tour from Mr. Brennan who can explain exactly what you are viewing. Enjoy! read more
