Because of the unprofessional receptionists I had the worst experience in a dental office of my life and wasn't able to be seen even after giving them a copy of my insurance card (BC'BS) yesterday, the day before my appointment. They advertised as periodontists. They took months working in my teeth including charging me $900 in the end for antibiotic. They told me I had refused to be treated earlier. That was a lie. I only refused to have some residue from permanent retainers removed. Then they told me about a periodontist down the street. They don't take my insurance. read more

This is my second appointment and I'm done. My first appointment I had to ask about the extended wait times and I physically watched the lady shift folders around to tell me I'm next. Figured it was a one-off experience. Fast forward to 2nd appointment and came in early, 15 minutes prior to my 11AM appointment. I have had numerous problems with appointments, untrained staff, waiting time, these problems seems to get worse over time. 6 months so far and this has been the worse service ever. I worry that this process will not end good. I am stuck with whatever I get because the staff have a don't care attitude. I made an appointment for 3/10 for a cavity that is very painful. I received a text a week prior to my appointment saying they have to reschedule, I called the number given to me 5 times and left 3 messages with no response, called on the 10th and finally someone answered and told me the dentist had an appointment so my appointment had to be canceled. I took a whole day off of work to get some sort of pain relief!! The receptionist acted like I had nerve to be upset, and tuff shit the dentist had an an appointment so to bad deal with it. I went there in good faith with an infection and to remove all of my top teeth which they did so in July . It was the owner of the business that ended up removing them they did not treat my infection beforehand. He was so rough removing them he left multiple Jagged edges in my bone I ended up in the hospital dehydrated from throwing up due to lack of antibiotics beforehand . I also had to pay another $1,000 bucks to a normal surgeon to straighten out what they messed up . Run from these people they are extremely dangerous when I call their office I talked with their so-called office manager who kept putting me off telling me don't take my medication and when I stop throwing up to come back in hence the trip to the ER in 3 days in the hospital from being dehydrated and my chemicals being all messed up and kidney shutting down . These people are extremely dangerous do not use them in any way . I've reported them to every agency possible and I'm awaiting the outcome of them . They also made a denture that doesn't even come close to fitting when I go back to them for this not no but heck no. After I filed all of these complaints this idiot sent me this letter like I would go back there what a joke they should be arrested much less put out of business . Plus my bill was going to be over 15,000 . Which I went to another Dental place and I am almost done there for less than 2,000 except for the additional stuff $20,000 worth the hospital for their excellent work what a joke read more

My first appointment went great, with no problems. When I was scheduled for my next cleaning it went downhill from there. Once I arrived I was told I would have to pay for my cleaning. I explained that I get 2 per year with my insurance. They said not according to their records. So I went home (an hour away) and called the provider, they said they are looking at last year's plan, ok so I called to reschedule, NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE) after several voicemails and no return call I drove up there (an hour away). I walked in and spoke to the clerk at the counter and explained the situation, she took my card and made a copy of it, I then said why doesn't anyone answer the phone, she ignored me, I then said, did hear what I just said? No one answers the phone. She then said she didn't know. I asked for a manager, she was apparently just talking to a co-worker directly behind the clerk. She turned to me and said I will be with you in a few minutes. I then asked to re-schedule my cleaning when the clerk threw her hands up!! Oh, I guess I was bothering her.......I said your not the only dentist in town...see ya. Don't bother going here is a chain and they treat you like a dog. read more

This place is a scam they milk your insurance for everything they can then they start on you. They tell u one price in the beginning and that's all you will have to pay. That's a big lie. I got the most expensive set of teeth they make. Had to wait forever to get them all kinds of trip back to the office for the same thing. That is where they can get more money. They make u think your first visit is free another lie. No telling how much mobey I have gave to them. And the teeth are not worth a crap. I am currently sitting in a chair here writing this review. The fact that I have time to do this is only part of the problem. After paying a lump some upfront for 4 follow up appointments, I am now being nickel and dimed for each appointment though I was assured the first payment was covering everything I was to have done. On top of that, I originally had an 8:00 appointment today. I was called and asked to move my appointment to 7:30. I came in at 7:30 and sat in the waiting room until 7:50 when I finally complained. They then rushed me into a "room" and numbed me. Then they tell me this "room" will not work as the water isn't working and that they are very busy and it would be a while before I was seen. It's now 8:45 and I've just been moved to another "room" and continue to sit here. I will not be returning and am considering walking out now. read more

I had a Crown done last year (2021) at ASPEN Dental in Oxford Alabama. Before it was done, I had been given a price that I would be responsible for. This is through my Dental insurance company that was familiar with them and recommended them for my area. They (Aspen) advised me that they would need my part up front. I agreed to it and paid them (Aspen) prior to the procedure being performed. Since then, they (Aspen) have billed me over and over for that procedure. I have been in the office at Aspen in Oxford Al. 4 times over this billing issue. Last 2 times the billing representative even told me it was a coding error that showed the procedure was rebilled to me again. She would straighten it out. Well, not to my surprise, I received another bill, now marked LATE for even higher amount than the last one. Note: they already collected over $700.00 over the original agreement earlier this year. I had used them before and had no problems. I'm on a fixed income and with prices this year going sky high I certainly can't afford this. read more

My expectations were like: a new office, new technology, new tools, new everything. But I was wrong. I came here for a cleaning and I know they do an exam first and you have to come back on another day for cleaning. Nothing bad about that. That would get 4 out of 5 stars. But I spent 2 hours there, just for the exam. And mostly like 90 minutes just waiting! - 1 star After all xrays I was able to be in the chair. Where is the water cup? That I can spit water?! Absolutely the worst Dental Office I've ever been to. This is the Oxford office at the Exchange. The price they charged me was not what they told me over the phone. Their method of taking a xray is barbaric. Tried to ram something in my mouth that resemble a football tee. Pushing it against my bad tooth Iwanted to pull the tooth but the lady Dentist wanted to do a root canal. I told her there are Dentists who say all you are doing is leaving a dead tooth in your mouth that will have to be pulled eventually. The only reason I went there was because I could not see Dr. Atwell for 30 days. He has more modern xray machine and is easier on you. Aspen is nothing but a torture chamber! read more

Waited 30 minutes before my I was called back. They were 30 MINUTES LATE for my appointment. Not busy at all. How unprofessional this office is. Very disappointed. I have a very tight schedule. I was contacted by them inconveniently several times to confirm and remind me of the appointment only to show up 45 minutes early and waiting for 45 minutes after I get my paper work done. All I wanted to do was get an appointment to get a top plate made. I didn't want to make an appointment to come in and talk about prices because I told them I new I wanted the best one they offered and just wanted an appointment to just get started I'm making the top plate. For some reason comming in and giving them $1200 was a problem and I needed to talk to the office manager. After 7 days and 3 phone calls saying the manager would call me back in a few minutes I am finding another dentist that wants to take my money. I only gave one star because I didn't know how to give a lower score. I visited the office on July 7, 2018 only because my dentist was unavailable that Saturday. I had an excruciating toothache. I spent an hour and a half, in which time every tooth in my head was x-rayed. Next, a hygienist gouged every gum pocket in my mouth to measure any gum recession, diagnosing me with gum disease. Upon finally seeing the doctor he beat on my tooth (to make sure it was the right one) and did nothing for my pain. I was given a prescription for Motrin (which I had at home) and an antibiotic that I suppose I could have gotten from a farm supply store--and a $6400 estimate to fix everything in my mouth. I was also given estimates on several hundred dollars worth of treatments for my gums. I was offered an appointment for the following Monday to get a root canal (covered by my insurance) and I did not take it because I didn't know if I could get off of work. Having decided to get the root canal, I called on Monday and was told that the next available appointment would be July 30th. I'll not be back. read more
