Me and my husband needed to find a dentist office close to home and when we got to Aspen dental we were surprised at how easy it was to go through the process and the staff was very friendly, welcoming and professional. The office was nice and clean and service was fast We were in the office for 15 min and did our paperwork and was seen within 5 min of that they actually had us on time for our appointment which I have to say I haven't seen at most doctors offices in Carrollton at all. Would highly recommend this dentist office for all your dental needs just make sure to set up appointment they do accept walk INS but appointments are always best in my opinion. read more

This place sent out mailers to everyone in my neighborhood offering a free exam. Once there they want to pull all teeth that even look suspicious. I got up and left a the lady in front said you owe us money. I said I just gave you the circular saying the exam was free and she said oh you are right you can leave then. 4 months later I got a denial letter from my dental insurance company saying these charges are not customary and they refuse to pay it. If I could give negative reviews I would. I recently moved an hadn't established a family dentist yet but I booked an appointment for pretty severe tooth pain I was experiencing. Upon arrival I was hopeful the front desk person was helpful, I was seen pretty quickly, and Maria took my xrays and was a delight. That's where the positives stop. I was brought back to the dentist chair and sat for about 20 minutes waiting with no one telling me what's going on. I had a different person come back to tell me the hygienist was on their way, a new person (who I can only assume was the hygienist b/c he didn't introduce himself) came to check my gums, then a 4th person came by to ask some questions about my visit (why I was there, when was my last dentist appointment, how often I brush and floss) When the dentist came in she asked "I'm your dentist do you have any concerns?" -ummm yes, I'm here for pain and I've told the other 4 people this? It felt so unorganized and I did not trust that any of them knew who I was or why I was there. She then sighed and left the room where I waited for another 10-15 mins when a 5th person came in telling me they needed more images, except that person then asked another girl to take the images (at this point 5-6 people have interacted with me and an hour has passed but I've gotten no where). The girl took pictures of my mouth with a different machine (she was also delightful but I was already super skeptical) When the dentist came back - she spent about 5 mins with me - told me I needed some crowns and a root canal and basically sent me on my way. I stopped her and asked "are we able to help with the pain at all?...that's why I came in" she said "Sure I can do your root canal tomorrow" and then sent me up front to review the "plan" The girl up front was nice and asked if I wanted a "Payment Plan" which is just an ipad where I can sign up for a credit card. I was quoted $5245.82 after insurance for the treatment plan. I decided that even if the treatment plan suggested was necessary I did NOT trust this practice at all to be doing the work. I called another dentist who was able to get me in the next day - recommended a completely different treatment plan (that did NOT require a root canal) and saved me THOUSANDS. I'm no longer in pain and the other practice (Dr. Kent's office in Lagrange) was able to provide an AMAZING experience where I felt heard and cared for. Aspen was disorganized, unempathetic at best, and made me feel like my concerns were not heard, I would not trust them with a cleaning let alone anything more extensive! read more

Went in for an emergency as soon as they opened for an abscess from a wisdom tooth surgery because I was in so much pain and was getting sick from it. Waited 20 minutes for the doctor to come in and said my mouth was dirty and then immediately left. Then waited 15 minutes for them to wash out the area with water and told me to wait out in the lobby for someone. Made me wait another 20 minutes to tell me "how to clean it" but never did. Just made me pay another 18 dollars for water being squirted into my gum. Highly disappointed and do not even bother wasting your money here as they overcharge. My husband was scheduled for an appointment for three extractions and sat in the waiting room over two hours before he was seen. Didn't start the day off well AT ALL. Previously he had an exam and a treatment plan; first was the extractions. Done. I called today to schedule the filling and was told he couldn't be seen without another consultation because he didn't "accept" the treatment plan. Hmmmmm. Not sure how that works. Surely to goodness having three teeth extracted was some indication that he accepted the treatment plan? I guess formally accepting the treatment plan indicated that he was committed to all of it? They also said he couldn't have the filling without a cleaning. So back to square one. OK then...schedule the cleaning then the filling. Nope...can't do that until they get 60% of the fees. I asked for the total of the fees and was told I had to put down $700 before they would even schedule the appointment. Wait.....What? With TWO dental policies why $700? Breakdown: $51 for the filling and over $2,100 for a cleaning? Uh no. Searching for another dentist. My brother in law had dentures done at Aspen and recently broke out a tooth from one of the plates. One tooth. He has had FOUR visits to this joke of an office and STILL doesn't have the denture fixed. This group is all about money not patients. read more

This has been the worst experience in my entire life not only did they cut my lip wide-open and treated me like it was nothing to cut me up like that. The employees showed no remorse for having cut me and I was only offered a 10% discount off of the total cost of my surgery as a condolence for the lip cut. In addition to my experience, six months after my surgery and after I had begun to pay back what I owed I received a notice that there is outstanding balance on my account. This was a notice that I was unaware of because everything else was supposed to be transferred to the credit union that I've been paying for over half a year. I was not notified of this balance until recently when it became late, so now I have to come out of pocket to pay the difference and there's still no sympathy for having cut my lip to this day. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place they'll treat you like another number they don't really care about you and they will take your money and give you mediocre service everyone there is not paying attention and no one felt sympathy for me after they cut my lip. read more

My husband had a crown that came off on a Friday afternoon that was causing him pain. His regular dentist office was closed so, after calling around to other dentist offices in our area with no luck in getting an appointment sooner than two weeks, we called Aspen Dental. They said they could see him on the following Monday. His appointment was at 9:15. He arrived at 9:00. By 9:15 he was in a room. He thought the visit was going well so far, right on time. After 15 minutes, they took his x-rays. Now mind you, he just wants his crown put back on. After x-rays, he sat in the room until 11:00. He was about to get up and leave when someone finally came in who gave him a two page list of items that "needed to be done" before they could put his crown back on. They wanted to schedule him for a deep cleaning. He told them he just had a cleaning with his regular dentist not long ago. They wouldn't hear it. They kept insisting he had to get two pages of dental work done. They then tried to get him to finance because the total cost was approximately $2500, and this is after his dental insurance pays. Needless to say, after much frustration and a total waste of time, he never got his crown placed back on. Once he left Aspen Dental, he was able to get an appointment that afternoon with his regular dentist due to an appointment cancellation and he got his crown put on and only paid $35. Oh, and it didn't take him two hours, nor did he have to take out a second mortgage on our house. My mother also had a bad experience with Aspen Dental a couple of years ago when trying to get dentures (she had to get a refund because the dentures never fit and they hurt her) so I should have already known not to trust this company. I had an appointment scheduled for 4:45 pm, I like the option of staying open late one day so I don't have to miss out at work. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the initial paper work which I did. At about 5:00 pm I was told that I had not been forgotten about, same thing at 5:15 pm. I left the office after an hour of waiting, I did let the front staff know. While driving home, I was called by the office manager explaining the situation, apologizing, etc... I appreciated the call back, it was the right move for the office manager; it would have been better if the staffing was run properly and you don't have new customers waiting an hour past their appointment time. The front staff was friendly, the environment was clean and maintained however the water fountains don't work.... Yeah... petty but, I was pretty frustrated after an hour of sitting and being told that I would be back shortly. I have not had much luck with dentists in the area that are "in-network" so I was hoping this would work out. I don't know if I am going to give them another shot, I will have to strike out elsewhere before I consider going back. read more

I went in for a new set of dentures and they are the worse craftsmanship I have ever saw. The teeth they use are cheap looking and do not line up with my other teeth at all. Found our after 2 months that he has not received a bill. Then discovered they financed it in my name not his with the wrong address. The most INCOMPETENT bunch of yahoos I have EVER come across! How does one become an "office manager" and when you ask them to fill out FMLA paperwork to justify your time off work her first question is, "What is FMLA?" Are you kidding me? You're in the medical field functioning as a supposed office manager and you don't know what FMLA means? After I explained FMLA to a very unprofessional, less than knowledgeable office manager, she proceeds, for the next 3 1/2 weeks to come up with excuse after excuse as to WHY they would NOT fill out my FMLA paperwork. Excuses follow: 1) FMLA is for pregnant women only. 2) I wouldn't be out of work for 20 consecutive days so I wouldn't be eligible for FMLA. 3) the days I listed on the form were not correct (I was out Thur. - Sunday, returned to work on Monday.) I included sat and Sunday in my dates on the paperwork..... She would NOT give me a corporate number to complain about their service or to call and resolve the issue with my paperwork. Asked for the regional managers contact info, they denied that request as well! Finally the "regional manager" called and informed me that he didn't have to fill out the papers and that HE WOULD NOT FILL THEM OUT! They only offered a written Dr. note/ excuse for ONE of the two days I was out of work! These guys continue to get worse. Not sure why I keep going back...lazy I guess. I had a wrong tooth pulled. Aspen Clinics opened up mostly in the South as so many poor patients have never gotten regular dental care so now when the teeth are all rotten, they have them pulled, there is a lab right in the office...so you KNOW this is how they make their money! Twice I have and dentists who never introduced themselves, never explained what they were doing...just did it. When they pulled my tooth I was furious. It only needed a cap. They couldn't have cared less. It's all about making money and it is a true assembly line. FIRST thing is you sign a contract stating that you MUST pay and they want the amount...NOW! From the moment I made an appointment I felt welcomed. The wait time was a bit longer than expected but it's a small office that tries to be sufficient. There are people who specialize in everything that work there which means that there're people committed to getting things right, but we're all human and make mistakes. They seem to specialize in affordable dentures as this is what many people came here for, and most of the time why wait times are so long. I'm having my wisdom teeth removed, I have the regular set of four and an additional two extra teeth. While the procedures are expensive they charge the upper end of the average price range for all of there procedures. What makes this place so special is that they do everything, there is no middle man needed, this allows for you to develop a relationship with the people who work here, they know your name, they know your story, and they care. For those without insurance I suggest getting the Carington network Dental 500 plan it cost as low as 9.99 a month and will reduce their prices exponentially. The next thing is getting care-credit or some other type of outside financing that will cover the cost of your procedure and allow you to pay things overtime at a reasonable interest rate or will differ interest accumulation until after a promotional period. Don't be a sheep just because of other negative reviewers: I've had an experience on yelp with one of the other reviewers Janeen A. in particular who is the co-owner of little Hawaii... She's extremely rude as you can see in her review...When I wrote a review for little Hawaii she inboxed me and basically cussed me out to defend her son who is the chef there. Very upset...... with they way they are handling my husbands dental work. He had some teeth pulled and needed partials for top and bottom. They made the partials and they don't fit properly. He was then told that they were "healing" partials. What the heck is a healing partial. Adjustments have been made and he still can't eat with them. Today he went in for another adjustment and the tech dropped his bottom partial and broke it. ARRGGGHHH!!!! Now they are telling him he needs to spend another $2400.00 dollars if..(IF???) he wants permanent partials made. What the HELL?!?!?!?! Doc. is great, a little questionable with what they said I needed done but nevertheless friendly and highly educated. The staff?.....no words. As a first time patient I waited for 3 hours because my insurance was never found, was told to come back in an hour or two so they could get in contact with my insurance. Come back to find no work has been done to resolve the situation. Was finally seen and received multiple calls to remind me of my NEXT 9:30 appointment, come on time and was told my appointment was magically changed to 45 minutes later..... Well to start, I had an appointment one hour before they supposedly opened just to have an oral exam for my crown that has been bothering me. I was greeted in the waiting room and sat there for 15 minutes before I went back. They took my X-Rays and I was taken to an exam room. Everyone was fairly friendly thus far. By the time the dentist arrived, I had been there for over 1 hour and 30 minutes when there was only 3 other people who walked in with me, as well as online booking saying the appointment should take 45 minutes . When the dentist arrived, I was informed about everything but the reason of the appointment. I asked multiple questions, multiple times about my crown and was given very short and dry answers. Almost like I was an inconvenience to her. I had none of my questions answered and didn't feel 100% with my diagnosis. I read the reviews in the waiting room and still went in with an open mind. I will not be back or let them operate on me. Also, when I went to pay, they didn't even have change (gave them $40 for a $30 charge) for me to pay with so I had to dig into my purse to find exact change. My husband paid Aspen Dental in Carrollton GA over $13,000.00 in cash and received inferior work. He had his teeth cleaned by another Hygienist and was told that he had several teeth that the crown does not fit the tooth correctly, causing a problem. The hygienist that performed the deep cleaning does nothing but cleanings, so there was nothing to be gained. He was told that he had inferior dental work and that he must find a dentist. He was given a referral paper showing the problems so he could take it to a real dentist. This has been a very expensive lesson for us. My initial visit sucked. My appointment was scheduled for 445. I received a call that the appointment was for 445. Then the day of received a text message saying my appointment was @ 5. I called because it was clearly a mistake and they said come on in at 445. It will be Better for us. So I got there and they were not ready. I waited for 45 min before getting xrays. I complained about my appointment being wrong and the lady at the front desk said well we made a mistake and I don't know who called you and told you the wrong appointment. I finally saw an office manager. Then another lady. Then the dentist who barely looked at my xrays and said my teeth were fine. Then another person who looked at my gums and then the office manager again. I felt like a cog in a factory getting poked and prodded by different people only to pre pay for a service like I can't be trusted to pay the day of. My time. Is very valuable. I was there for an hour and a half to get some simple xrays. Poor service at its finest. So the office manager saw my initial post which doesn't include my true first name or last name. He called and I think it's very stalkerish to call and ask me if I told anyone about my experience. Instead of saying hey I saw your comment on yelp that you were dissatisfied with your service. How can we make it better for you next time. Or reprimand the people who made the mistake initially, especially since the office manager was aware of the problem the day of. Yuck. I went in on Thursday Dr told me I needed both plates made of dentures, I only wanted the upper done was not impressed with the dr. I also had a neighbor that used this same office when they made her top plate she looked like the dog on the pedigree commercial. She got a refund but it was hard. Do not use this place. read more

I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. The front receptionists and office manager all have attitudes and act like you are inconveniencing them just for walking in the building or showing up to your appt early. Then ask you to go back outside and wait in your car if there are more than 4 people in the lobby, I get social distancing and everyone wearing a mask, but to tell patients go sit in your car or on the curb and they will call your cell when you can come back inside is a little ridiculous. I was the second person in the door, 3 people showed up behind me, didn't sign in, so even if you are really the 2nd person in the lobby, it does not count if you are not in a chair apparently. Maybe you shouldn't over book time slots. The dental techs and hygienist are the sweetest people in there. If I had just dealt with them, or if the rest of the staff were as friendly and kind then I wouldn't have left the place in tears. I was there for a little over 2 hours. The dentist finally comes in, pokes and prods and was like oh you have a severe abscess . Okay good to know, I will not give you dentures though because you still have another 3 yrs before all your teeth need to be pulled, nevermind the majority of my teeth are broke, cracked or missing. I explain how my teeth hurt non-stop. Didn't matter what I wanted or was asking for. When I asked about the abscess she told me well until you sign the "agreed" treatment plan she would do nothing. I was in tears because she was not listening to me and my needs at all. I go up front to the office manager and the price they gave me was astronomical. On their website it states price of a tooth extraction $124 per tooth or something close to it. In the treatment plan it's actually $322 per tooth sometimes higher. She wanted to remove my front teeth, give me temperay partials all to the sum of $12,641. Then in 6 months pay another $7,000 for the permanent partials. The doctor will not listen to you, help you, or do anything you ask for as that does not profit her. I was told I could always get a second opinion. Funny thing was after being told 2 different times after first signing in and then signing HIPPA paperwork to wait outside, I called and got appointments with other places because I could only imagine how the rest of the office ran just from the girls upfront. read more

They will rip you off! They charged me $700. Did not explain to me what that was for. I never received an itemized bill. I needed lots of work done and discussed it with the initial "salesman". Gave me a list of work that I agreed to get done. Then scheduled me out 6 months! They had performed a cleaning. Long story but they could not keep up with what I needed done. I needed a tooth pulled and a bridge. Pretty simple. They agreed. But then tried to do a root canal instead! Just to charge more money! I went in there as a new patient, for a specific problem with a specific tooth. The dentist comes in, and the finance/office manager is in their with us as well. Before the dentist even talks to me about my problem, he and the finance manager go over my x-rays, talking about all the procedures of mine that they were hoping to make money on. When he finally comes over to talk to me, he doesn't even address the problem I came in there for. He starts a list of all the things I "need" to have done. He recommends doing a procedure that a dentist I'd seen years ago advised against because it wouldn't work without me having my bite fixed with braces. I told the Aspen dentist this, and he just kept pushing it. Again, this wasn't even the problem I came in for, which was an infection because I need a root canal in a different tooth. I told him I wasn't interested in any of the long list of procedures he was trying to push on me. He wrote a referral to an endodontist for the root canal, and then I was sent into the finance managers office, for a "consultation". The finance guy's first question was, "Have you set aside any money to pay for this?" I said, "Pay for what?" I have dental insurance. Whatever the insurance doesn't cover, I will just pay out of pocket. But he was pressuring me to finance. I have never, in all my life, been in a medical professionals office that felt so predatory, and I have a few decades under my belt. I will not be going back to any Aspen office again.
