At check in i was recommended to Zeno by the manager at the hotel, i am usually dubious of recommendations from hotels, i always assume there's some collusion going on, but i checked the place out online and although there were very few reviews on Yelp they were positive so i took the plunge. The restaurant was literally 3 mins away from my hotel and walking in there's a small bar on your right and many tables both left and right. I was greeted by a very friendly host who seated my right away at a small table by the window on a relatively quiet Monday evening. The menu had a varied selection of Italian classics and some chef inspired creations utilizing fresh seafood and offerings from the land, all looked and sounded delicious. I went for the bruschetta app and i am so glad i did, delicious garlic toast rounds topped with super fresh tiny tomatoes with arugula, olive oil and balsamic drizzle, one of the best i've ever had. For mains i went for a very simple chicken with mushrooms and garlic in a cream sauce tossed with ziti, topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese, another outstanding choice! My only regret is that i was too full to try a dessert, based on the food i'd had i'm sure the desserts would have also been fantastic. The relaxing dining room is bright and cheerful but yet still retains a feeling of intimacy, a great place for families and couples alike.

Prezzo - Taken by me

The Haywards Heath Prezzo has taken the place of an old bank on the corner of the Broadway. This…read moremeans that it has a gloriously high ceiling which is accentuated by the large curtain you part as you walk through the door. There are a number of tables downstairs and the addition of a clever mezzanine adds to the seating capacity in the gallery. I usually choose to eat up there and you get a wonderfull view of the oak beams and all the goings on of the restaurant down below. They serve traditional Italian cuisine and have an authentic stone baked oven should you opt for a pizza. The wine list is fresh and they have a good range of both white and red varieties. On my last visit I enjoyed a very good Pinot Grigio. They also will frequently have promotions on either 2 course and a drink for £10, or two main meals for £10. It's well worth taking advantage of these offers, but even without the menu is reasonably priced and well constructed. The service was adequate, but you can get left to it a bit on busy nights. They may well improve on this if they decided to employ another member of staff on the busy shifts. Aside from this, I have always had a good experience when I have eaten here. Nice food in a unique setting.

The decor is stylish and modern and the whole place has a general fresh feel. Seeing as the building is actually quite old, the balance between the old and new has been well thought out. As you walk in you can see the stone bake oven at the far end of the restaurant and an expanse of tables are dotted over a split level eating area. I have dined here a number of times and found the food and service to be good on all occasions. Being part of a chain, they also have frequent voucher deals and you can pick up two main course for £10 on offers on two courses. They quality of the food is good and they have a wide ranging menu that goes beyond the standard pizza or pasta dishes that a lot of Italian eateries will stick with. The hand stretched pizza come on rustic boards and you could easily share between two if you ordered a side dish. I would also recommend the calamari starter that is battered on site and retains the delicacy of squid. The staff are also very accommodating and even when the restaurant is busy you don't feel like you are being rushed or neglected. They also have a good Italian wine selection and offer a very nice Pinot. The one draw back is that the outside area is next to a busy road and whilst you are raised and have a wall between yourself and the street, it can impact on your dining experience. If you decide to eat outside, it may be worth doing so on a Sunday. A nice restaurant with good food at reasonable prices, all served up in a great setting.

The price of the food is reasonable. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated and the staff are friendly. The restaurant does get busy so I would recommend you book first. Unfortunately there is no car parking facilities but if you go there after 6pm, you can normally find a car parking space on the high street which is directly by the restaurant. So if you like italian food, I would give this place a try!
