While in the US, if I see a Thai place serve sushi I head in the opposite direction. My aunt and uncle were craving Asian food, one of the local head chefs had recommend we try out this spot. Apparently, they were originally in another smaller spot but moved to this bigger spot. The interior design is Thai culture meets tiki culture. We ordered a bunch a dishes ranging from curries, fried rice, pad thai, and vegetarian ramen for my aunt. Didn't order any sushi/hand rolls , but they did sell a variety of Hitachino beers. Thai dish flavors are definitely more tame from the flavors I'm used to here in the US, while my aunt's ramen soup was lukewarm and would have been better if served hot. And for some reason, there's no green curry or Thai ice tea on their menu. Though it's one of the few Asian spots in town, so if you're desperate for Asian food, this will do. Service was friendly though, and they can speak English, They have a huge single restroom, which is helpful for parents with young children, as they have a changing table.

Got several seafood items & couple beers and went sitting at the steps outside. These are just steamed, smoked with little or no seasoning so you can taste the sweet freshness of the seafoods. Loving it and with the view...just enjoying life going slowly by. What a perfect place for seafoods with reasonable price tags and quite good too. Great service by the owner too. Love it.

But the hot-smoked salmon is not the most flavorful, and is a bit dry, the cold-smoked is tasty but too salty. Salmon fins ("angel wings") are delicious as they are most places. Shrimp salad is rather heavy on the mayo, though the dill and lemon help cut it. Great seaside atmosphere and a fun day trip from Stockholm, but there's better salmon at Ostermalms Saluhall. But, the shrimp is worth it.

My cousin's Swedish hubby was craving his native guilty pleasure food kebab pizza. And I was down…read moreto having a budget friendly dinner and was curious to see the difference from the one we had in Stockholm. Did a take away (their word for to-go) from Svandammens and did an order of Kebabpizza (for some reasons Swedes call it kebab even though it's gyro meat) and a Mexikana (think Americanized taco flavors) and vegetarisk (veggie for my aunt). Guilty pleasure food or hang over food. Makes economic sense for many immigrants in Sweden to create menus for a wide range of palates. Definitely the kebabpizza was my favorite with the white garlic sauce. This is how Swedes apparently do pizza.
