Eh. No bueno. We wanted Chinese food and were super excited to try this place but what a disappointment. I ordered this shrimp and veggies ($12.50) and this was the only reason for any stars at all. It was a good sized portion and was full of shrimp and veggies, (at $12.50 for Chinese fast food it better be)! However, the fried rice that came with was disgusting. Plain and old, tasting like it was warmed under a heater and then reheated and then warmed under a heater... well you get the picture. Pork was NEGTIVE stars. It had freezer burn and was dry and inedible. I insisted we bring it back, along with the rice and ask for a refund. The owner gave us a refund for the "pork" (since only one small bite was missing) but she should have given us something in exchange for the horrible rice (either fresh rice or another type of rice) but she said no refund since it was part of the shrimp meal. I like places where they remember you and will remember your custom order so +1 for that. My co-worker and I frequent this place because it is close to work but also has pretty decent food. This is a fast food chinese place that they make your food custom ordered. The only complain I have with Panda Express is that the food isn't spicy enough.... but there they'll make whatever you want, however you want it. I can even get my orange chicken spicy! The lunch specials are decently priced and come in a large quantity. It usually lasts me two meals! I typically end up getting both chow mein and fried rice along with a combo of either kung pao chicken, garlic chicken or orange chicken. Everything has been pretty good so far! It was my first time ordering from this place, I had a bunch of hungry friends who were craving and in dire need of a Chinese food fix. I got our order withing 20 minutes after placing my order. The food which we ordered (Sweet and Sour Pork & Chow Mein) was pretty largely portioned. We shared between 4 of us. Giving these guys 5/5 for quick delivery, food is nicely priced for the huge portions, and the quality of the food. I usually only order delivery from Asian Chef, but I was in the area at the UPS store next door, and I was hungry so I popped in. The food is good, it's always good, when they deliver, it's super fast and always piping hot. In store, it was just as good. Service was super friendly, dining area was small, but clean and tidy. Great Chinese food that doesn't need, nor contain MSG! They offer delivery too. My boyfriend ordered delivery from this place all the time when he was on house arrest and never got sick of eating here. They're open later than anyone else in that little shopping center. It's never been too crowded when I've been there, but I know it does get busy. If you're part of a lunch crowd, call ahead with your order. My personal favorite is the shrimp fried rice. Not impressed. I had something very basic. I ordered Orange Chicken with Chow Mein. Hard to mess up. At least I thought. - The Orange Chicken was scorching hot, and the sauce was VERY sweet. Orange Chicken sauce is usually a little tangy too but that was not here at all. It tasted like my chicken was covered in candy... and not in the good way. (I also burned my tongue, but that's my fault) 5/10 - The Chow Mein This might be because I burned my tongue but these noodles had absolutely no flavor. To top if off they were cold. Cold, bland noodles aren't really my thing. 2/10 I had to douse my food in sriracha so I can somewhat enjoy it. My noodles were cold, and my chicken was extremely hot. There was no happy medium. We have eaten here three times, and have yet to be disappointed. Always pick up of a called-in order. Pros- - excellent customer service (knowledge of the menu, fast answering the phone, clear diction and always repeats the order back to make sure it's correct) - FAST food! (ordered and in my car within ten minutes) - yummy lemon shrimp - fried rice is basic and delicious - chef combo is good value for the price. Lots of options and variations on your order. - Chow mein is not my favorite, but it's decent and better than some in the area - Orange chicken is great. Cons- - Their egg rolls have a strange curry taste, which I don't like. So last time I ordered I asked for no egg roll. They offered to do more of the crispy won-tons, which I accepted. It was a perfect change out. - Their sweet n sour chicken is hit or miss. Sometimes too sweet, sometimes too tangy and sour. This is one of our top take-away chinese places. This is a very small chinese restaurant that's located in the strip mall with a Staples and CVS. They are not a fast food place but rather a cook to order joint. The dining area is very small only 3 tables that seat 3 diners each with a front counter to place the order. I decided on the Chef combo, which was 1 entree(choose from orange, mushroom, kung pao, lemon, sweet & sour, teriyaki chicken, broccoli beef, pepper steak, hot bean curd, sweet & sour pork), 1 side(rice, noodles or mixed veg), 2 appetizers(egg roll, chicken wing or cheese won ton), & drink for $6.75. Pretty good deal, and the food is plentiful. I ordered to eat in, but they gave me the food in a to go container. The pepper steak filled the top two segments of the container and the veggies filled the bottom half along with egg roll & chicken wing. They gave a soy sauce, but no sauce for the egg roll. The food itself was very average. Pepper steak and veggies were both drenched in sauce and although they were different colors the sauces tasted exactly the same. Egg roll was made with a thick chewy wrapper and not the flaky kind, the chicken wing was alright, but it was just dipped in sweet & sour sauce. I should've got my order to go since eating in was not an enjoyable experience. They have no A/C running so it was very hot, the owner came in and made me feel very uncomfortable since she decided that belittling her employee in public regarding her goldfish was more important than a paying customer. Owner was incredibly over concerned with the goldfish and when I left I wasn't even acknowledged by the owner. My suggestion to the owner, your customers are more important than some disposable fish. Long story short food sucks, but their service is better (then the food). If this was the last place to eat on earth, I'd much rather starve. First off, I think they reuse yesterday's meat/shrimp, for today's new orders. I ordered hot sour soup, wonton soup, egg drop soup, fried cream cheese wonton, Mongolian beef, beef chow mein, and tsao's sweet spicy chicken. It all sounded great, till i tried the food. Normally even bad chinese food, is still alright chinese food even a day later...but that even isn't the case 2 days after. Not even a quarter of the food was eaten between 6 people. In all honesty, I think I can shit and puke a better soup/food, then they can cook. Wonton soup: The Wonton in the soup was overly cooked, the soup tasted blah, the shrimp was over cooked, the Wonton soup only had 3 HUGE wontons. I was pretty pissed about that, it gave me the impression that they hooked me up. When in fact, they skimped me, it was more wonton wrapper then anything. The soup sucked so bad, I only ate the mushrooms and bamboo shoots out of this.. Egg drop soup: HOW DO YOU MESS UP ON THIS?! Hot sour soup: Compared to everything except the fired cream cheese wonton, This actually was something i was able to eat. Don't get me wrong, still sucked more then a pch whore. Mongolian beef: Seriously under season and over boiled/reused meat. Chow mein: Tasted like old noodle and reused meat Tsao sweet spicy chicken: reused chicken. I ducked into this place the other night for dinner and it was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The decor was brilliant and the restaurant screamed SANITARY and CLEAN...you can't say that about every mom and pop fast-food restaurant you go to, Chinese or otherwise. When I say fast food, it's not lightning fast like Panda Express (hardly "Chinese") and other similar restaurants because everything is cooked to order, not chillin' under a heat lamp. The food is worth the wait though! All of the meat and vegetables were cooked perfectly and the sauces they used were excellent. No MSG is a big plus, too! It's ok for a quick lunch, especially because they have lunch specials and they deliver. However its nothing special, think Panda Express. They give generous portions and their Orange Chicken and Brocoli Beef is very tasty. I wasn't a fan of their fried rice, however I am not a fan of brown rice in general. I don't know if this is the norm, or if they gave us the wrong rice. Their chow mein is good, Udon style noodles with a smoky flavor. The menu is what you will find in your average Chinese restaurant. They cater for events which is a big plus and what I believe they specialize more on. My first encounter with this restaurant was great since my meal was hot and delicious. Certain food entrees on the menu are actually based on a specific time frames so you will have to come in before I believe 3pm to look at the lunch menu specials. I hope to see more entrees on the menu and possibly no certain specials on a specific timeframe if new customers are interested in those. Placed an order for pick up. The order was repeated back to me on the phone exactly as I ordered it. I was told it would be a 10 minute wait. Showed up had to wait to pay and no one was in line but me at that time. The woman at the counter was rude did not acknowledge me as I walked in and took her time to finish whatever she was doing. Felt awkward just waiting for her to look up and speak to me. As I waited the line behind me grew. Finally got up to pay and had to wait longer for my food. At this point it was more like a 20 minute wait. I should have checked my order before leaving but it was so busy inside and homeless people outside I didn't open the to go box and rushed out. Got home ready to eat and they messed up my order. I called to let them know I wanted my correct order. Was put on hold over and over again. At this point I was extremely frustrated and hangry. Finally spoke to someone. Went back to pick up the correct order and return the incorrect order (their request). They did not once apologize for the inconvenience and took back the returned food, which is surprising as other places usually don't take back the food if it was their mistake and well Covid times not hygienic. Not that I wanted the incorrect order anyways it's just the principal of the matter and common sense customer service. With so much back and forth and lack of quality customer service I will not be back. They have lost a customer. read more

The array of Panda yada-yada-yadas and Lucky blah-blah-blahs are all around but they are all the same - bland food sitting under heat lamps, generally over cooked... Then we found Asian Chef. After getting their door-hanger we thought, what the heck? Let's try it. It is now my fast Chinese food place of choice. The food is very fresh and tasty and the staff is always nice. This isn't gourmet Chinese but it IS very good and very convenient. I've sampled enough of the dishes to say they are consistently good. The fried stuff is always crisp and hot. That being said, 99% of Chinese food isnt "traditional" and is "Ameicanized" in some way. I didn't feel like heading out so had the lunch delivery (not free like someone said, its now $2). -Chow main: The best part of the meal. Satisfied my craving for it and was one of the better chow mains Iv had. -Teriyaki chicken- meh. Thick, tough pieces that weren't really sliced apart. The broccoli was undercooked and tough as well. -Sweet and Sour chicken- Pretty good. Very flavorful. Some pieces were tough. Hot and Sour Soup- You can choose between no spice, medium, and spicy. After that well....not the best Iv had. Did not satisfy my craving. Before Panda Express discontinued their hot and sour soup it was better then this one. All and all its fast food Chinese. Not much to say other then that. If you want something fast and dont want to go out, then this could do. I would choose something other then what I got (except the chow main) next time. read more

I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein and what i got was actually Lo Mein that had what appeared to be chicken nuggets and no vegtables in the dish, absoutley terrible. Actually tasted like it was stir fried in bad oil. iThe House Fried Rice had a burnt taste, The only thing really eatable was the Beef Brocolli and that dish was under seasoned. I've eaten here a few times during lunch on weekdays. Good food and very clean establishment. When you order your food it'll be ready in 15 min. And it actually is. So why just 3 Stars not 5. I'll explain : I went to Asian Chef one day and the cashier who I can tell wasn't all there but hey it's cool. When I was ordering started to snooze off. Look sleepy. I completed my order went for my wallet to hand him my debt card, I was looking at the menu and I was still handing him my card, I glanced and dude was asleep on the cashier Like full on snooze. I was respectful because he wasn't all there I got his attention and paid. The customer behind me looked at me wanted to laugh. Now this is where it goes more south. I'm waiting for my food. And another customer comes in and orders. After he ordered he said he didn't receive the right change. After while the manager comes out and tries to resolve the problem. After seeing that guy sleeping behind the register I knew it was poor customer service on him. Terrible. I couldn't address the issue at the moment my food was ready and I had to bolt. Discovered this restaurant by chance and have not regretted it. My kids love their food! Its really yummy, fresh off the stove and inexpensive. Our go-to place for food whether delivery or pick up.
