This take-out only restaurant in Lyndonville, VT is usually pretty busy, and it's right in the hub of town. Big parking lot; very helpful and convenient. I liked it more pre-Covid; you could dine in @ that time, but that's ok...they must have their reasons. The food itself was ok. The egg roll was heavy on the oil/grease; tasted like the oil needed to be changed. Had shrimp egg-foo young & the gravy that came with it was awesome, I must say. I add a little duck sauce to practically everything as an added flavor, but that's me. Took some pork fried rice from my husband's order, which was alright. He's always satisfied with their take -out. Has no complaints. I did note that the supplies were kept in the restaurant in plain view, but were much more neat looking than the last time there. The food has gone waaaay down hill since it changed to take out only. I calculated the amount it should have been and the total was $5 more, so they add their own tips in for take-out now...as well as have a tip jar? Not cool. The food had been sitting a while, I could tell because my rice was hard, the orange chicken was hard on the outside and fatty and chewy on the inside. Teriyaki sticks were dry, chicken fingers were okay, not good but okay. Its a shame they are now more concerned about quantity over quality. What a waste of $40+ for two people to eat. Very Disappointed, I understand restaurants are struggling during covid, is hard for family's to spend hard earned money also so when you do it's nice to atleast expect to NOT deliberately get taken advantage of. I paid 11.00 for a 5.50 hot and sour soup, I spent 34 and change for 3 items. I went back to give them a chance to make good and clearify the "mistake" only to be told they had to charge me (2) 5.50?? What does that even mean. So 11.00 for a 5.50 soup?? I wasn't given a receipt so I had to figure it out on my own and walk rite back and they made one. I was way!! Overcharged. Even when I asked them to give them a chance to rectify it, they didnt. I still can't believe that. The 2 egg rolls that were 6.25 which I couldn't eat because they weren't cooked thoroughly and the first bite I almost puked from sourness. The one thing that was ok was the 11.00 lo mein . For a lo mein, lg hot n sour soup and 2 egg rolls I was charged 30.74. It's hard on everyone during this time. I think it's pretty crappy to take deliberate advantage of anyone, anytime. Make sure you Ask for your receipt and Check it! I think places count on people being side tracked, hungry and when you don't have a receipt rite there you dismiss it, I believe they know that and are deliberately (not all places) when they can, overcharging patrons. We really enjoyed our meals! The pork wonton soup is really good. Love the mushrooms & veggies. We all like the typical American Chinese food - every combo came with pork fried rice & had a lot of pieces of pork. The chicken fingers, beef teriyaki & boneless pork were all good! The best is they have real duck sauce - not packets! Everything was good! The general chicken dish was enough for 3 meals! I would definitely go back & get that soup about 2-3 times a week if we were here full time. read more

The won ton soup was very good. Fried rice was too dry. Most of the food was just ok. We ordered $86 of food, paid for it and found that the order was short the Beef and Broccoli that we paid for. When I called them they said that I did not call soon enough and that there was nothing that they would do. I will not be going back. Don't be put off by the appearance of the exterior. The food is very good, fresh, well cooked, good recipes. Definitely in the top five of chinese restaurants I've been to. Prices are right on the money for what they're offering. Good food but shity service and very rude waitress. my family of 3 kids and my wife and I use too frequent this resturant when we where in town. We went In and ordered 2 separate orders of poppo platters and fried rice, crab dragons and low Mane.food was good. We spent $76 on the food and for a average family of 5 that's a lot. Well when we where leaving I went and paid them went to use the restroom I came back out And my family was walking out the door. The waitress called me over and asked for a tip and was very rude too me and told me with a family that size I am required to give a tip. I told her she was being rude and that I am not required to give a tip. She proceeded to tell me next time order to go then It's not on the menu or on a sub on the door that I am required to give a grutuity and it's not a state law . So I told her I was going to post to Yelp and let people knowhow rude the server is. They lost my business and we went down there every couple months because there is not a good Chinese place where we live. And we dont get to go out only once every couple months.
