The manager is a 1 man show and is very efficient and expects a tip. Your discretion, but don't expect a greeting next trip if you opt-out. Irt food - lacking ANY notable spices, flat in flavor, chicken is 'pressed', veggies frozen, all-in-all - what you should expect in Montana in early Spring from a buffet. My husband and I go here fairly often. The man that works there is ALWAYS tirelessly cleaning. He's very attentive and thorough. We DO leave a tip and we don't take more than we can eat. My friend and I walked into the restaurant shortly before they closed. I normally never do this out of respect for the staff, but Butte is a small town, and we were out of options. The owner welcomed us warmly, and got us eating quickly. All the food was fresh-tasting and delicious. This isn't what you would expect from a buffet that is about to close, so this was an awesome surprise. The honey and sesame chicken were especially good. Have been going there for years. Owner watched us eat and as we were leaving he came to the table and demanded a tip. When the demanded tip didn't please him he told us to never come back. There days are numbered I also saw him turn down service for a mother and child. Nobody in our party could even believe it happened. They won't be around long and I guarantee that. This is American Chinese comfort food from my childhood. Are most of the dishes sweet? Yes please! Especially enjoyed the pork egg rolls which were generously stuffed and fried perfectly, and the hot and sour soup with a rich flavorful broth. Most of the the entrees were variations of orange chicken with just one beef broccoli dish, but maybe I overlooked some things. For seafood I saw cold shrimp (cocktail sauce available) and a cooked shrimp dish I did not try. Did not see the salmon or teriyaki dishes mentioned on the owners Yelp description. Trays were replenished frequently and the restaurant was very clean. I would like to say first, the food at this buffet is usually good, hot, and plentiful. Their hours of operation tend to be hit and miss. Tonight was probably our last visit. I will not be recommending this restaurant to anyone in the future. When my mother went to pay for her dinner, the cashier asked her to put $2 tip on her credit card. The owner is RUDE, if I could rate no stars, I would! We took our 3 1/2 year old grandson in to eat. People came and left, nothing crazy until we started to leave. I just had surgery on my hand and am moving a little slower so my husband and grandson were using the restroom before we left. He asked my husband for a few dollar tip knowing that we used a card, my husband said sorry I don't have cash. THIS GUY proceeded to wait until my husband was at the restroom to stop me and ask for a tip. I'm sorry, we don't have cash! If we would have paid at the end we most likely would have added a few dollars, but we paid before the all you can eat buffet where we dished up our own food! I went here for the very first time today after living here for 5 years. I had two kids with me that were very excited to eat here. As soon as we walked in the man working at the register was annoyed that we walked in at 3:00 when they first opened. I have been eating here for years and was told by the owner I couldn't eat there anymore, when I asked why, he didn't give me a reason. I did find out that several of my nieces friends ate there ( developmentally disabled) and the owner told them not to come back because they were going up for seconds and they didn't tip ( according to the owner). My beautiful wife and I are new to Butte. So we are still looking for favorite date night places. We found one with Asia Buffet. Food was great. Restaurant was clean. The gentleman that was working did seem to take it all a bit too seriously but that's his business. Literally! All in all a very positive experience. We will be coming back! My daughter and I have been coming to this place since 2016. However today apon leaving I smiled and said thank you. He looked at me with a stone cold face and said can you give me a couple dollar tip? I said no I don't have cash. He then said we don't serve you anymore!!! I laughed assuming it was a joke but he assured me it wasn't. I can only assume since I've read multiple other reviews stating the same thing that he clearly enjoys doing this and clearly targets people. My boyfriend and I chose Asia Buffet during our road trip to try some Chinese food. We went to pay before eating and noticed there was no option to add a tip on the bill, so we didn't leave one at the start. Towards the end of our meal, we helped ourselves to some fruit and found the watermelon wasn't fresh, so we didn't finish it. As we were leaving, the owner came over and asked if we could leave a tip. The way he asked was quite direct and rude, but we were willing to leave a tip, we just didn't have cash and asked if we could pay by credit card. To our surprise, the owner cursed my boyfriend in a way I never thought I'd hear, saying he would be something in his next life. We were stunned and couldn't believe what we were hearing. We've never experienced anything like this, not in the US, not in China. After reading the reviews, it seems like this isn't the first time this has happened. I'm genuinely curious how a place like this can still be in business. I don't know what we will be in next life, but I do know that you, the owner, must have been suffering a lot in this life. read more

The woman at the front will stand over you, yell at you in her native language and treat you like you're taking too much and tell you and kick you out! This is the real experience! We've tried here several times and it's been the same every time. Believe the low reviews. My wife had left a review and they hid it. Will fight if they hide this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Has been a good place to eat in the past. Food is fresh hot & even though the quantity has been adjusted along with the hours.Our dinning has always been pleasant. Yesterday as we were leaving the gentleman who took our cash approached us at the door to ask if we could leave a tip!
