But Nikki at Pearl Paws is a natural lion tamer! :) Nikki has been there for us, feeding Jam and keeping him comfortable on the occasions that we are away. You can forget about stressing about your pet while they are in the care of Pearl Paws. Really! Leaving your pet in the care of Pearl Paws, you can be confident that not only will they get the care they need, there will be someone that truly cares about them and will show them love. Pearl Paws is reliable, trustworthy, and kind. What more can you ask for? Many other companies you'll find on yelp (and ones we have used in the past) outsource the pet care services and you end up with a different freelance person each day. This was not what we were interested in. We wanted a personal relationship with the person that came to take care of Jam. And upon first meeting with Nikki and/or Tony, you get to know the lovely individual that will be in your home every day. Honestly, you'll feel like you have a good friend hanging out with your fur baby. It's the best. Highly recommend!

We met with the owners Nikki and Tony as soon as we moved in to introduce our baby girl Madiba. The rapport was instant. I instantly trusted them and could feel and see their love for and respect of dogs in the way they interacted with Madiba and the questions they asked me. First of all, I should say that I don't trust people easily and I definitely don't trust easily when it comes to Madiba but I knew this was a perfect match. I know they care for Madiba with love and they connect with her. This is critical to me. We use Pearl Paws for both walking and sitting and i can't describe the peace of mind I feel when I know Madiba is with Nikki and Tony. It's easy to schedule with them. They are flexible and will work with your schedule. Their prices are extremely reasonable. They do sitting by the hour and overnight as well. Their love of animals is not limited to dogs, they care for a number of cats as well. If you live in Block 17, NV or any building nearby, you'd be crazy not to rely on Pearl Paws.

We recently welcomed a furry bundle of joy into our home, and have found ourselves overwhelmed by her overly-enthusiastic approach to living life. Our little angel is all teeth and claws, and boundless energy! Wonder Puppy group puppy training classes are amazing. We are halfway through their 9-week course now, and already feel we've received valuable return on investment. Trainers Katie and Matt have shown genuine interest in our puppy's well-being and progress. They have a remarkable ability to connect with both puppies and their owners, anticipating any of the crazy questions we might ask. The classes cover a wide range of essential topics from basic commands like sit, stay, to more advanced topics like loose-leash walking and impulse control. Wonder Puppy ensures a positive experience for everyone who walks through their doors, offering personalized guidance and support. I really had no idea puppy socialization is so important. Wonder Puppy enables a safe and controlled environment where puppies can interact and play with one another. I've already seen the value in these socialization experiences as my puppy is beginning to calm down, and to learn appropriate behaviors... most notably, how much is too much? Seriously, those little teeth and claws are really quite sharp! I appreciate the well-maintained and clean facility at Wonder Puppy. There is ample street parking in the neighborhood, though beware of the homeless camp located on the next block. Use common sense when securing your vehicles, and be sure to keep any valuables out of sight or bring them in the building with you. My husband, my puppy and I have all benefited tremendously from our time at Wonder Puppy. It's been a really positive experience, and I'm hoping the lessons we've learned will serve us for many years to come.

Where to begin? If I could rate negative stars I would. I've…read morealways been on the fence with them. They claim to be Lagotto specialists but I found them average, and they've always been a bit condescending (especially Erin) but I always let that pass. I made a recent appointment with two weeks notice and things went off the rails. First we received a message shortly before our appointment that we needed to reschedule since they were going to be closed for several days. Odd that they took my original appointment without knowing that but I was fine to reschedule. Their next availability was the following Saturday so we changed our plans around the change in schedule. No problem. Then things fell apart. We live 35 miles away from Coats and Tails in Washington State. And there's only one briidge on I-5 for us to get into Portland. Unfortunately on that Saturday the state of Washington decided to do major repairs on the Interstate which caused a significant stoppage, which caused all of the side roads to be severly backed up. End result is that our typical 40 minute commute took us a full hour and a half. So instead of being early, as we intended, we were 20 minutes late to arrive. First off, being late to arrive is our fault, not theirs. I did call them 30 minutes before our scheduled appointment to give them notice of our delay, but their voice message said that even though they are open they don't answer the phone or check their messgaes on Saturday. That made the delay even more stressful. I arrived 20 minutes late hoping that they could still help me, considering that I readily agreed to move their mis-scheduled appointment to a day that ended up being challenging beyond my control. The staff has helpful and understanding but they needed to ask Erin, who promptly said "no, we can't take her since you're late. We're trying to beat the heat" Which I took to say that they could have helped me but she didn't want to. She offered to reschedule, yet again. But no sympathy for what I had to go through for them. Again, I WAS LATE which was my fault. But Erin's arrogance and condescending attitute finally got to me and I'm done with this place. They do reasonably good cuts. Not enough to account for their premium pricing but it is what it is. But life's too short to put up with that arrogance and poor customer attitude. There are better options in Portland. Hope that you consider that before you go back to Coats and Tails
