Very Disappointed in this store. Our salesperson was terrific. However, furniture-related issues arose beyond the salesperson's control and the manager would do NOTHING to help! I called the corporate office and there was also nothing they could do because the Decatur store is independently owned. Bought all new furniture for my new home not quite 3 years ago. We are an older couple and don't wear furniture out very easily. We could tell relatively soon that even though we spent a great deal of money the furniture was not holding up. Called to get a part for the reclining sofa and was told that the part cannot be replaced. We now have a reclining sofa that doesn't recline! The manager was a coward and would not deliver the bad news. A very nice young had to handle everything by herself. I will never buy from these people again their products are inferior junk. read more

I took a lot of time to review a variety of sectionals from several stores that would accommodate my needs. I settled on a sectional from Ashley and purchased it several months ago. The clerk was very pleasant and our delivery was seamless. The drivers were very nice and made sure it was placed correctly and in working order. Unfortunately, a seam on one of the pieces came undone. Stitching it was unsuccessful so the manager Dan replaced the piece. It took about a week and again the drivers Brandon and Noah did an excellent job delivering the new piece. I reallllly appreciate the customer service I received. read more

I purchased bedroom furniture from here. 2 nightstands, one dresser and one five drawer chest. My first delivery one of the delivery drivers was so sick, he was using his hand as a Kleenex and I have video of him blowing his nose clear onto my walkway and driveway... with his hand. Snot literally flying onto the drive way. My dresser was damaged. (and I had to wipe everything down with disinfectant) I got someone to come out and look at the damages and it was unfixable. I was told a new dresser would be ordered and delivered. I called weeks out and was told they ordered the 5 drawer chest. Ok, no big deal, change it and bring me my dresser. At this time (again) I told them about how disgusting the delivery driver was. I requested that he NOT come to my house again. Delivery #2.... Guess who is there? snotty nose McGee and I have video AGAIN of him blowing snot into my driveway. My dresser again is damaged and not only that but they took a chunk out of my wall. So here I am waiting for a manager to call me. He is supposed to get in between 9-9:30am. It's 11:30..... I'm sure I'll never hear from him until I go to the store to speak face to face. read more

I haven't received my furniture yet, but the costumer service has been outstanding! I went to this location versus the one close to my home because of how knowledgeable and upfront the staff was. First I talked to Kim who helped me check on the items I wanted to verify how long it would be for delivery and place my order over the phone. Then I was helped by Q, he was able to guide me in the right direction when I order a recliner that I found out would be too big for my space and helped me change products. He also gave me the papers to sign from my phone order when I came in(from 2 hours away) to sign for my purchase and showed me where to go to take my little to the bathroom after a long drive. Finally I spoke with Dan, he was able to cancel an item for me. I was panicking because of the size of my room and I wanted to order what I knew would fit instead of being stuck with too much furniture. He was able to process the return (2days after initial purchase) and issue a credit. Then THANKED me for my business. I hated canceling but know I can order more once the size of the furniture is visible in person. He help me with what would fit and I wasn't guilted into keeping my initial order. All over the phone! I haven't received my items yet, but my first shipment is scheduled to arrive 8 days after I placed my order! Such a good turn around time considering how backed up places have been! read more

I ordered over $10,000 worth of furniture from the store on July 4th, 2020 and I finally received the entire order on January 23, 2021. To say my experience with this store was bad is an understatement. From the salesperson who admitted she was hungover when selling my furniture to the lack of care from the employees as well as the management/owner, this whole experience was awful. I highly recommend that nobody shop from this store. The staff ignored my phone calls and avoided me when I tried contacting to see what was going on with my order. They made very little concessions for my case. It felt like high-way robbery and they would not own up to their wrong-doings. We found the perfect nightstand at Ashley for a spare room. It was $89. We bought two and got home and decided we would go back and get another one. A week later I went in to get another nightstand (they had a few on display in 3 different colors) and 3 had a $109 price tag on them and one identical to the others had a $89 price tag still on it. I told the salesman I had purchase two the week before for $89 and asked why the price changed for 3 of the 4. He said something about distribution cost going up? I said I didn't understand because they were already in stock. He said if I bought two I could get both for $89 each. I didn't need two and that seemed shady. I walked out. I came home and found the exact nightstand on your website for $69 with free shipping. I don't understand the price differences and I don't plan to shop Ashley again. read more

I bought a recliner in 2017. The Ashley Homestore website has an entire page with the warranty information. The short side of the story is that the local store nor the Ashley Corporation will honor their stated warranties. They just give false, contradictory information about the warranty. They also use the technique of passing the consumer to numerous phone numbers until you end up at a number where no person will answer, just indefinite holding. read more

Another furniture store had an Ashley recliner for sale in a Black Friday ad but had sold out. I called Ashley Furniture Homestore to ask if they would match the ad of the competitor since they are an Ashley store. I spoke with a male staff member and told him about the recliner in the ad and he said that they would match the price of the competitor's ad. I stopped what I was doing, drove for 20 minutes (out of town) to get there before they closed. When I arrived, he told me that he would not match the price of the competitor as their Ashley recliner was a better quality product than the one that the competitor was selling, even though it was the exact same name of the chair, picture, etc.. He told me that he could not match the prices because he would be losing money and he could not afford to take the loss.. Could you not have told me that over the phone?? I was very upset about my waste of time and the salesman's lack of professionalism and called back to the Ashley store once I returned home. My husband spoke with him and asked for the name of a district manager, Supervisor or someone over him. He told my husband that it was a small owned company and that there was no one he could call about it. My husband mentioned to him that there was an e-mail address on the website he would deal with and the salesman told him that if he sent an e-mail, it would be forwarded to him again. Dealing with Ashley homestore was the most horrible experience I have ever had and I will never buy anything from them again. I worked in retail for many years, that is not the way that you treat your customers. read more

It really just comes down to customer service. We bought a couch and chair and the day AFTER it was delivered, we called and said we wanted to return it. It was just so much more uncomfortable than we'd thought. I should mention when we went to pick it up, they said we hadn't notified them and it would be days before they could "dig it out of the containers." So, we sat on the floor for a few days because they were willing to deliver for free, ok fine. Anyway, after saying we couldn't return and would have to exchange, we couldn't find anything that would work as a replacement. The manager said he would talk with the owner to see if they could do a return. A week later, no call so I had to call him. We then had to give them $360 as a restocking fee because that's their "policy." Each store is different so calling corporate doesn't help because they all have their own set of policies so they say. I was told I would see the refund in 24 hours after the furniture was picked up. 6 days later I had to call to see where my return was since it hadn't been put back on my credit card. I get educated that the OWNER had my return sitting on his desk for approval. Talk about absolute SHIT service. I will never set foot in the Decatur Ashley Furniture Home Store ever again. The owner could certainly learn a thing or two about customer service. What a terrible way to treat people. read more

I recently purchased a sofa and ottoman which had to be ordered. When it was delivered I was surprised to see the ottoman was not the color I has ordered so I returned the ottoman. Went back to the store to talk to salesman he gave me a song and dance about the color was afraid to order it again saying it would probably be the wrong color again and tried to show me other ottomans. I finally gave up and said I would go ahead and take the first one that they had sent out even though it was a different color but it would go with the sofa. Now it was in a warehouse and could only be delivered to the store the next week otherwise they would charge me again to deliver it. Okay I wait a week call to see if it is at the store called several times could not reach salesman finally called store the store. Ottoman had not been reordered so I am now waiting another week. Very unhappy with the service. Hope I get the ottoman and it hasn't gotten lost. Will not order from Ashley's again. read more
