Newest of the two Chinese restaurants in town, the owners maximized on their location by offering a variety of "American" options. This restaurant is very small, so it is more of a "take away" place than a sit down atmosphere. The owner is a very sweet, and accommodating. The Chinese food is semi-authentic, not as good as what you may find in China town in the cities, but better than the local alternative. Not as salty as most small town Chinese restaurants, reasonable prices and generous portions. The pizza is awesome. There are basic orders, but the owner will let you mix. match and add toppings to create your ideal pizza. read more

The Jade is an interesting mix of a pizza place, fried chicken place, and Chinese restaurant. We got the pizza/hot wings/fries/2 drink combo, which was something like $28, which really isn't any more expensive than something similar would be in the States. We had a 3-topping pizza which was quite tasty and had a nice fluffy crust which was not too greasy. They have a variety of wing sauce choices, and we went with Hot. They were hot but not excessively so and were quite juicy. The combo also came with a giant box of fries which were pretty good too. They make some of the better tasting pizza in Red Lake, really enjoy there meat lovers. There chicken is a bit bland though.

I thought I would try Chinese food tonight, but this was a mistake. The rice must've been sitting there for a long time and the mixed greens as well. It did not appear or taste fresh. The only thing that was good were the chicken balls. I think that they offer too many different fast food items, The woman who took my order was very nice, but unfortunately I threw most of my meal out after trying it at hotel. Love this place, Lynne takes pride in what she does. The restaurant is clean and a lot of her food you can watch her make including her fantastic wantons (but buyer beware these are addicting). Pizza is good too. Stop in for some chicken and wedges as they are always ready and always fresh. read more
