Education is not standard and my child went to public school this year and was NO where near the level he should have been at to be a 2nd grader. In the winter she doesn't run the heat and makes students wear there coats! Mrs shooki is very rude, yells and argues with students! She tell a children they are going to be fat! She feeds them old expired food then when other parents and staff got involved she forbid them to look at anything in the kitchen! Also they were not given adequate teaching supplies, toilet paper, paper towels etc...She could not keep a 1st grade teacher there employed we went through 3 teachers they school year! I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone and cannot believe it remains open!!! PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!! Mrs Shooki us the owner and who I am referring to throughout this.

There was once a 5-year-old little girl. She was a sweet, quirky thing, well-behaved and sensitive,…read moreactive and adventurous. She loved lizards, bugs, horses, and drawing more than anything. Her mom and dad were so excited for this little girl to start school, to see all she'd learn, and to learn all she'd become. However, the hopes and dreams these parents had for their little girl would not come to pass. After a short time in kindergarten, the little girl started getting poor conduct grades for "not paying attention. The school set up the first conference and began to tell the parents how wrong their little girl was. The girl began coming home upset, stressed out, scared to go back, and claiming that her teacher hates her. The parents tried ADHD meds for the child. In 6 months, the little girl was on 4 different medicines. Upon taking the first dose, she was listless, glassy-eyed, and had sobbing episodes. She didn't enjoy the critters and the horses and the drawing. The smiles went away. And she did no better in school. This precious little girl is Emma, and she is mine. In December 2014, we started at ABC Montessori. Their love for children, interest in fostering the individuality of the children, and in the development of the child's brain are immediately evident. The passion they have for the Montessori method is inspiring. They have restored our daughter's motivation and joy for learning. Today, our daughter seeks answers. She explores. She is respectful. And she absolutely loves her school. There, she is a helper, a friend, a great student, loved and praised by her teachers, and extremely well-behaved. She sits down to her work daily and focuses on what needs to be done. She completes book reports and science fair projects. She knows things about culture and history. She reads "chapter books" and she has straight A's!! She laughs and plays and does not want to be picked up at the end of the day. I have my little girl back!! For all of this I am thankful for the Montessori method. But even more so, I am eternally grateful for the careful, thoughtful planning, attention, and intuition of the ABC Montessori staff, and for their concern and care for the whole child. My daughter WILL be successful. In fact, she already is!

From the beginning since she started in the primary program, they made her feel so welcomed. I am so thankful for Ms. Nargis and the teachers.

Reviews in Google are turned off. --…read moreAAIMS provides a safe environment with enriching extracurricular opportunities, BUT management concerns overshadow the experience. The director is diligent about compliance yet struggles with transparency, communication, and responsiveness to parent concerns. With a shift toward more openness, professionalism, and support for both staff and families, the school could live up to its strong state rating. At present, my experience leaves me unable to recommend it without reservations. Communication is filtered solely through the director. Although this may be intended to protect staff, it limits transparency as it seems like the director & owner, Nargis/Mini, wants to control the narrative. I commuted over 45 minutes each way because I believed AAIMS would be the right fit for my child. Unfortunately, my interactions with the director felt dismissive. She often seemed overwhelmed and reactive rather than calm and organized. While an email policy for communication exists, this policy was selective who it applied to. A WhatsApp chat was created by Nargis specifically to update pre-K parents about the lead pre-K teacher (Maria) abruptly leaving in the middle of a teaching day. After the lead pre-K teacher walked out, the director quickly began implementing changes to the pre-K program, including adding a Spanish class that was billed as an additional cost to tuition--with only three days remaining before the next month's payment was due. This timing felt concerning and confusing, as it appeared the changes were being made because Maria reportedly did not want the Spanish teacher in her classroom. It was unclear whether the director intended these changes while Maria was expected to return within a week, or if she assumed Maria's absence was permanent. The situation raised questions about decision-making, transparency, and whether these adjustments were being implemented in the students' best interest or for other reasons. On one occasion, after receiving parent questions and concerns, Nargis dismissed herself from the group and deleted prior messages--raising valid concerns about open correspondence, accountability, and her willingness to engage with parent concerns. Minor issues have sometimes been handled in a way that feels overly public and punitive. For example, I emailed Nargis regarding a mix-up with my child artwork, noting that another child's work had been included and that I would return it the next day so it could go to the correct family. She responded defensively, blaming another staff member for the mix-up rather than addressing the situation logically. I confirmed I would return the artwork. However, the director then forwarded my email to all parents, framing the situation as a problem caused by me rather than a simple mistake. This incident reflects a recurring pattern in her approach--minor issues are often blown out of proportion, handled publicly, and rarely resolved with a practical solution, giving the impression that parents raising concerns may be framed as the problem. Additionally, when we officially decided to unenroll my child, she left his belonging on the floor for us to collect it without having to interact with us as to dismiss us. Nargis claims it's because she was cleaning but clearly my pictures/timestamp show others belongings not on the floor. She made sure to remove those things and clean when I addressed this issue to further gaslight me. I have since found another facility & confidant to say this place is a toxic mess. You & your children don't belong anywhere you are not important & respected. Areas of improvement: Communication & Professionalism: School-wide messages often lack professionalism, can feel defensive, and minor parent concerns are sometimes shared publicly to frame you as the problematic parent for having concerns. A more professional communication system for updates (e.g., ClassDojo (free)) would benefit both staff and families. Transparency: Abrupt changes (such as program additions and tuition adjustments) are implemented with little notice or discussion, making the school feel less collaborative and more transactional. Director's Attitude and Behavior: The director's approach to communication and handling concerns can come across as defensive and controlling. In a role that requires regular interaction with parents, this behavior can negatively affect trust, collaboration, and the overall school community. More professionalism and openness would benefit both families and the school's reputation.

The hands-on activities and interactive learning environment keep him engaged and excited about discovering new things. Every time we walk outside, I am constantly getting questions about the sky, the moon, leaves, different animals, just anything he sees and reads. He is constantly curious and has so many questions. As a second-year student, I've seen such growth in his independence, he picks out his own clothes, makes his bed, cleans up after himself including sweeping and vacuuming if necessary. Mrs. Shahnaj is incredibly attentive and is always encouraging my child to explore at their own pace. The mixed-age classroom is wonderful for helping him develop social skills, and he is learning to communicate and cooperate with children of all ages. My son started when he was 3 and immediately Mrs. Shahnaj noticed areas he needed to improve on with his social and emotional development and started to work on correcting it. She also let me know things I can work on to improve his emotional development at home and now I can truly see a difference. We are still working on some things but there have been major changes. Montessori school operates differently than public school, which I love. The children go at their own pace and each child focuses on what they need to develop. Each child is working on different things, but every child is still exposed to all areas. My son has learned so much in his year and a half he has been there. He has developed skills I know he will use for the rest of his life. I couldn't be more pleased with the development my child has experienced during his time at Theami. It's been a wonderful experience, and I'm excited to see how he continues to thrive in this supportive, enriching environment!
