All the skills of teamwork, creative thinking and inspiring confidence were ones I learned at AMS and have served me well throughout my life. They taught me that there was nothing I couldn't accomplish as long as I worked hard and was dedicated to my goal. Sometimes life isn't about what you have, but the journey you take. AMS was the beginning of my life journey.

We are grateful that our son was able to attend Arthur Morgan School for three formative years, and…read morewe will always credit the school community and its generous teachers with instilling in him a strong sense of self and a passionate desire to learn about and question the world around him. AMS's responsive curriculum and immersive field trips tapped into his natural curiosity and blurred the line between school and life. Hikes and overnight camping built confidence and community, and connected him to the natural world. Our son developed practical life skills and a genuine sense of what it means to contribute to the greater good. Most importantly, he learned a great deal about who he is and who he is capable of becoming.

Awful school. I did not feel safe here and all the teachers were extremely rude towards me and…read moreother students. They did not respect any of us. The principal did not care about students being comfortable. For example: In cosmology, we have to change into uniforms for the class and we had a transgender student. Everyone in the class was uncomfortable. My mom talked to the principal but he did not care. He stated: She identifies as a girl so she should be allowed in. The school officers also did not make me feel safe. Officer Morrison was very rude to me and my family, he definitely thinks he is better than everyone else there. Very cocky. Also he is 100% most likely to be a child molester. Doctor Bailey is also 100% a little kid predator and likes to touch the guys up in the bathroom. Ms A, the cosmology teacher is extremely rude and doesn't take responsibility for her own actions and blames the students for things she did. She has 3 total cosmology classes and blames our class only for things. I had to leave the class because it was too emotionally draining. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The only teacher I liked there was Mrs Glover. AMAZING LADY!

My father and my step father's names are confusing for tabloid researchers lol :/ Asheville is a short drive from my grandparents home in TN. I had an excellent experience here as a student, with many fond memories. I highly reccomend the experience, and have nothing but affection for the school. Unfortunately, people who never attended the school and have no connection to it wish to be associated with alumni and with the names of people they deem as socially elite - or oppressive in some way. I encourage people to be aware of this problem before making any assumptions.
