well after spending over 500,000.00 cash when it came time to do punch list, they walked away without finishing it. We have called and went to the office and nothing from them. In the contract you have to takt them to Arbitration which would cost me around 18,000.00 and not able to get money back. They are not people of their word, they lie and make excuses all the time. The Attorney General Office even told me this happens all the time and there is not anything they can do. That's why the builders have it in their contracts. It anyone is thinking of using Ashburn Homes I have pictures of the work that do so you can see for yourself. This house was built on our land, hell they even took all of our good topsoil from our property before they started building. I have to pay another company to come out and remove fill dirt and bring in topsoil and grade my yard. The worst part is the owner of Ashburn Homes just built a house a few blocks away in the same neighborhood and he could never stop by that should show you how much he cares. The guys we had to deal with did nothing but lie to us and every time we were to meet with them, they always had to leave because something came up. They even built my pole barn because they said they have a pole barn crew. Well that was the biggest lie I pulled up one day and there was a 8- or 9-year-old beating the shit out of a nail on my garage trim he was part of the crew. like I said I have more pictures and emails to show more to come in next review, I will post 1 a month until Jordan Ashburn calls or stops by you know where I live remember it's your name on this house, but I don't think you care but I will do my best to let people know hoe your homes are being built!!!!! This Builder, Jordan Ashburn, builds the crappiest houses ever. Cheap materials and cuts every corner possible. My floors make a ton of noise and they bounced until we made them come in and put some supports under the kitchen island. Total crap. read more

I moved into my Ashburn home at the end of December 2021. More than 2 months earlier than the expected date. This home is simply amazing. The craftsmanship and detail is excellent. I seriously cannot say enough great things about Jordan and his staff. I am just amazed that I live in a home that looks like this one. This home was the second model I looked at and I knew I needn't look any further. Even though my realtor insisted I at last look at another builder's community. I looked and left. The realtor working for Ashburn spent a lot time helping me find a lot and pick out finishes. It's just been an awesome experience! read more

I had my house built by this company and it is a beautiful house, but there are a few things. One they were late on completing it. Second the wood work and drywall was put up shitty. All the appliances are cheap I'm dealing with my basement flooding due to the peace of shit sump pump they installed. You have to request a refrigerator it does not come standard with the house. The builders they highly drink and smoke on the property well the build. Who does not love a drunk worker building your forever home. Also well they were building they allowed the basement to flood and let the water sit for 2 weeks. Thus causing mold and other problems down the road that I have yet to experience. The water got into the cold air return of my furnace they did not clean it out. Rocks and other Foreign objects got drained into the sump pump. I requested that they clean it out because I knew it would cause the cheap ass sump pump to burn up faster leading to the issues I am having now. If you haven't figured out yet they did not clean out the pump the just put a cover on it and taped it up. When my basement flooded for the first time it was due to high water table a rainstorm with no power to the house and a hole in the foundation. There way of fixing the hole was shoving some spray foam in there and covering it up with insulation. read more

Where do I start? If I can only give zero stars. We closed on our home in Sawmill Woods in May. I feel like we have the least amount of issues though on our street. Careless mistakes really because Jordan is chasing money and not being where he should be, the homesites as they're being built. He's supposed to be out inspecting his contractors work. I have terrible door trim, lights are not centered over our bathroom mirrors. Some people didn't even get mirrors or lights. We have a hand towel rack in our bathroom, but nothing bigger for towels. We were about day four in before we realized every time we showered, it rained in our basement. A few days later someone showed up, cut through our bedroom wall, left it open for weeks and finally closed it, but never painted. I asked several times. Weeks went by, I painted myself. Our house smelled like backed up septic. We tried to get rid of it for two weeks before we realized they never called or sewage pipe in the basement. I have a moat on the side of my house. It's impossible to mow and is now basically a wildlife habitat. Our landscaping is terrible, weed grass, construction materials buried in the yard, not to mention dead trees that Jordan the arborist assured would "be okay". Jordan is cold, emotionless and aggressively rude. His office staff and himself have ignored every picture, every email I've sent. He just does not care. I have neighbors with bowed walls you would not believe. Floors that are so uneven that you can see it. Not one drainage ditch on our whole street flows into the drain pond. They are just breeding grounds for frogs and mosquitoes. Our AC didn't work either. Bad fuse box. I have neighbors filing class action lawsuits. We attended a public town hall and expressed our thoughts. It's clear Jordan had the whole board in his pocket. If anyone else is pushing a lawsuit and needs statements, we will all gladly provide them to you. PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS BUILDER. He is also the HOA so that's great. All yourself what you're paying for. We don't even have fire hydrants on our street. I'll edit this if i think of more and when we're ignored at our one year when i hand him a punches longer than a CVS receipt. EDIT------In reply to your reply---Frustrated? That's what you think we are? Disappointed. Sad that we are treated like we are being treated. Sad that you don't see a value in customer service. I should have went with my gut when I met him. Red flags went up. He's not interested in getting to know us, talking to us. He was cold and calloused. We're from Pittsburgh, and are Steelers fans. I tried to talk about that with him. Nothing. No emotion on his face. Not a smile. Nothing. All he has to do is try to be nice. Literally all Jordan has to do is make sure my punch list is done by people who know what they're doing and fix the draining issue on the street. No one's ditch is flowing and in the summer it's gross. I know he has other big issues with my other neighbors, but that's not my business. I've emailed multiple times and been ignored. I'd like $1000 for the the two dead trees I had to get removed. I'd like the ditched fixed ASAP. Yesterday I discovered water in our basement. The only saving grace about this company is their warranty manager Rodger. He's the only one that responds and I'm sure he's worked to death with the careless, cheap labor Jordan hires. If you are thinking about getting a home with Ashburn homes, you want to think twice. The service is horrible. The Project Manager I have Paul Stitik starts out really good, nice and welcoming. Then you sign the contract and that's when everything changes. There have been many times me and my realtor have not received email or text responses from Paul. The last straw that caused me to finally write this bad review is that I received an email from Paul asking if I was available for a meeting today at 12 for a pre-construction meeting. He never mentioned what happens in a pre-construction meeting nor if the meeting was in person or over the telephone. I asked him if the meeting was in person or over the phone. He says on-site. Never included where on-site is rather it was at the design center where I have always met him or if on-site is at the land. I do not work for Ashburn so saying on-site doesn't mean much to me. On-site just means on-site at a location but it doesn't tell me if it is at the design center or at the land. I drive an hour away to go to the design center only to find out once I got there that the meeting was on-site at the LAND. No where in his email did it say on-site at the land. Paul must think that I'm one of Ashburn contractors or workers that know what on-site means. I'm a client not a worker of Ashburn. He never even explained to me what happens at a pre-construction meeting or what to expect. He just emails me asking if I was available for a pre-construction meeting. This is a horrible way of doing business. I have had nothing but challenges with Paul at Ashburn. When I emailed him my concerns about his disrespect and rudeness of not responding to my emails or my realtor's texts, he had the nerve to make excuses related to how complex my land is. That had nothing to do with this lack of responses and unprofessionalism which is what I said to him in my response. Also, how many homes have Ashburn built? What does me having complex land have to do with anything if this is what you do all of the time as part of your business. I can't imagine that my land is the only complex land you have dealt with. Do not be fooled by the nice-looking home. The customer service and Project management is horrible. I do not receive updates unless I email him and Jackie asking for updates. I do not have lot finishing cost yet even though I settled in October. I asked for weekly updates and that requests got ignored. BEWARE. I have tried to talk with Mr. Ashburn but I'm told to go to Jackie who is on all of my emails and already know about all of my concerns. Everything related to Paul, she directs to Paul. So how is she my escalation point before talking to Mr. Ashburn??? read more

Ashburn gets two stars. One for salesman David and one for Roger, warranty/quality control, the only people who cared. Other than that save yourself a years worth of frustration and aggravation. The subs make countless stupid mistakes from lack of communication, supervision and just stupidity. Don't bother calling or emailing their office- they don't care and won't respond. The owner is rude, cold, hostile and unprofessional. And once you move in forget about anything that was not right before you went to settlement. It will be like pulling teeth to get it completed. They will back you into a corner and you'll be forced to go to settlement whether your house is completed or not. Never mind an occupancy permit. They issued ours and we didn't even have insulation in our attic! Insist your landscaping, grass and driveway be completed before settlement. Just a nightmare. We moved into our Ashburn Homes ,home in July of 2021, in Johnsonville Subdivision. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to work with David Litz as our realtor. He is awesome! He helped us to visualize how the finished product would look and found answers for all our questions and requests. We met with and spoke to Jordan at our homesite during the building process on various occasions. He provided answers and made us comfortable with our decisions. He made suggestions that he thought we may like and honored our request. We are a retired couple and have built other homes during out lifetime. We can honestly say that working with Jordan and Ashburn Homes has been a wonderful experience. He made us feel that our own son would not have been kinder. Even though we loved our home and everything seemed fine, we still chose to have a home inspection done to check out what we didn't know about our home. The inspector confirmed that our home was constructed above our and our inspector's expectations. We had a couple of minor issues that were immediately cleared up by Rodger, Ashburn Homes Warranty Manager , another excellent member of the Ashburn team!
