The restaurant is tucked away upstairs, above the check-in counters in Terminal 2. It's nice and quiet, calm up there -- an escape from the hustle and bustle downstairs. Service is always quick and efficient, prices are reasonable for airport dining. But, let's talk about the main reason to arrive early enough to grab a bite to eat here... The sushi! They have many inventive, flavorful rolls and the fish is always fresh. My favorites include the Waikiki Maki and Spicy Tuna rolls but I've yet to have one I wouldn't recommend. I only wish they were behind security so I could linger without worrying about arriving late to my gate.

Also, we had a friend with us who lives in Freising and he eats here all the time. As you can see from the pictures they ordered just about everything on the menu. Ha! This was wayyy too much to eat for three people. Eyes were bigger than stomach syndrome but then my friend who eats here all the time did all the ordering. Everything was fresh and they enjoyed just about everything. Fish eggs were not liked but my son and even my husband who eats everything didn't really care for them. Really fishy. My son loved the prawns the best! Being a non sushi eater, I ate the chopped beef, mushrooms, onions and ginger. Came with a side of white rice. It was ok, nothing to write home about. I'd give that 3 stars. Beef was not tender, and I had to spit out some pieces that were fatty and too chewy. Just what you'd expect from a basic Asian restaurant.

There is a parking lot for the plaza, and we were able to easily find a parking spot on a Sunday. I was impressed by the decor after first walking in, as the fish tank was eye-catching and the entire restaurant had an elegant look. After being seated we were able to request English menus. The servers did speak German, but basically no English. Because of this, when ordered we mostly had to point and repeat numbers until he was able to understand. None-the-less we were able to order the food we wanted. We had the appetizer sampler, wonton soup, a couple curries, some crispy duck, and shrimp chips w/peanut sauce. Let me just start off by saying that everything tasted great! The appetizer sampler had small bites of most of their appetizer options, and we enjoyed them all. The curries were perfectly seasoned, the wonton soup flavorful, the duck so crispy and juicy, and the shrimp chips w/peanut sauce were made to order making them absolutely delicious. A friend ordered some tea at the end of the meal, and it came in the cutest teapot that sits inside a larger cup to pour the tea into. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and even was open to eating leftovers the following day -- and this is a rarity for me, especially while traveling. The reason I have one star off is due to a couple reasons; one of them being that with the prices as high as they are, why the employees do not know at least a small amount of English to make things easier for visiting guests. In the end, the food was great and worth every single penny. If I am ever back in the area, I would absolutely make another visit here.

My steamed dumplings ( filled with crab) were delicious and the side dipping sauce was fragrant with just the right amount of heat. My husband's fried wantons were crispy, not greasy. Also quite good! My entree of jumbo prawns with vegetables was superb. They even removed all shells from the prawns without my asking. The other entree of classic duck was just as good. I highly recommend this restaurant.

All the usuals for an Asian buffet and they always offer Fried duck! Yum. For €8.90 lunch buffet you absolutely can't beat it! In the evening there is a Mongolen Buffet with "Cook to order" options. With eight large buffet tables, there is something for everyone! The sushi menu is larger in the evening with many more options. The staff is friendly, helpful and quick. Great place to go for Asian!

Unfortunately, as many asian restaurants here, there is an unlimited buffet. It's good for money saving, but it's just not good food...no matter how recently it was prepared, it always lays here for a while. I took the buffet anyway, and wasn't blown away. Good, nothing more. The restaurant pretends to offer "Chinese and Mongolian" food. I didn't look for Mongolian dishes (I am sure there are some), but I clearly saw a large selection of sushis. I am not an asian food expert, but I am pretty sure sushis aren't from Mongolia...All in all, as all restaurants in Regensburg, this restaurant is NOT a Chinese or Mongolian restaurant. It is an "AsiaMix" restaurant, for everyday people who don't care as long as the personnel seems to vaguely come from the other side of the world. The place is huge, and, I must say, pretty well decorated. Such a large area could have looked like a canteen, but they did a pretty good job. It is not luxurious, but it looks good. They also have a large terrace for the summer days (both the restaurant and the terrace are on the 1st floor). Unfortunately, once again, the humongous buffet area lies in the middle. That's not nice. Experience. We went on a very crowded evening, I am fine with that (it's a good sign). But overall, because - again - of the buffet, this was a pretty bad experience. People running all over the place, queuing or moving to and from the food stands. The personnel was careless at best, stressed (and stressful) for the most part. Sub-standard, even for an Asian restaurant. I am willing to believe they do a better job when the restaurant is quieter though. This is just another undetermined vaguely Asian restaurant in Regensburg. It's nothing more, nothing less. Why the 2 stars? Because the food was ok. There is nothing much better around, so sadly, I may visit again.
