Nothing wrong with the store, per se, but Jesus they need to get their act together in so many ways, some of which are illegal.
Firstly, I'm a local resident, and I find it unforgiveable finding stray trolleys everywhere, even in my garden! They employ staff to keep on top of these things, but it's not working.
Secondly, despite many warnings from the council, they still receive truckloads of stock at all hours of the night when there is a curfew in place. When I phone to complain I am treated with utter disdain, even the managers are useless, have never been offered an apology despite how many times I've been disturbed in my sleep by passing heavy goods trucks wobbling my property heftily.
Thirdly, maintenance. Residents are NEVER notified of ANY maintenance proposals. I have just this morning been rudely awakened at 6a.m. on my only day off. Industrial equipment being used for whatever purpose, constantly beeping loudly like an alarm clock you cannot turn off! Conveniently arranged for when the store isn't open to the public.
Remember this is a 24 hour store, so those few hours of respite from the noise, is very much needed by local residents! The constant upkeep of the garden fringes is totally annoying too! Those garden tools used are so loud the maintenance men wear protective equipment!
I will be complaining to the council again later today, but I begrudge having to do this on my own, rare day off from work, but hey, I'm a lone voice and if I don't do something I'm not highlighting the facts.
Asda do not care about people, nor do they care about customers, they care about profits and nothing more.
This retail park should never have been given the go ahead in the first place!
Oh it's fine for people that don't live close by, but believe me, there are multitudes of noise issues that occur that never get sorted out by the council. I mean, why would the council do anything about it when basically they would be sabotaging their own profit margins too...(parking fees).
I no longer shop here unless I need something quick when I've ran out of an essential.
I'd rather shop somewhere with at least a little class. read more
