As this is the only supermarket near to me i dont really have much choice but i love the supermarket anyway and dont think id shop anywhere else. This has everything i need under one roof and the store is clean and tidy and spacious with lots of choice. The prices arent the cheapest on some but then i do like brand makes - they do offer a value own brand if you want them offering a very good choice. They have a salad bar (with sneeze bar but still dont trust them) or you can go get lots of fresh salad items and make your own. They usually always have a good stock of fresh food which is updated constantly through the day. The staff are lovely and will go see if they have anything you request if it isnt out. The deli/meat counter is good and they offer a good choice for you. The chicken and pies counter is also a good buy with various meal deals to be had - the chicken is quite dear but they do a budget full size chicken which is gorgeous. They make fresh cream cakes/buns/pastries, etc and bread onsite which is lovely. They also have a butcher who will cut a piece of meat for you how you want or a fishmonger who does the same. All in all it is everything you could wish for under one roof at reasonable prices. The cafe is a bit slack in the service and the prices are a bit steep and admittedly the food isnt the best but you cant have everything. The queues are horrendous as there is only one till to pay for everything. They also have secure trolley bays incase you want to leave your trolley while you go somewhere else. Inside the store there is also a travel agents, bank, chemist, bagshop, cardshop and dry cleaners. The toilets could do with being checked more often and there is usually one or more out of order - there is sometimes a big queue for them.

The range of foods on offer is good - my own favourites are the fabulous date and walnut/cheese and walnut breads and the wonderful lemon smoked mackerel on the fish counter. Very very good, but then every supermarket has its specialities. What I also go to Morrisons for are the low prices, and although not across the board, I would say on average it is the most economical supermarket if you are willing to fill half your trolley with items from their value range. (As most people are, of late!) Also they have a good stock of cardboard boxes readily available, often very handy to have around and helpful for transporting your groceries!

I was brought up in a Morrison's family, and a Morrison's man i shall remain! The only reason that it doesn't have 5 stars is as mentioned above, it looks like it was erected in the 1970's and really could do with the bit of a spruce up. The deli counter is excellent and I'm now even on first name terms with some of the staff there. What more could you want... oh yeah, I already went through that didnt I?

A very large Tesco Extra store in Burnley town centre, it's close to the bus station too, making…read morethis one of the easier supermarkets in Burnley to get to on public transport, compared to ASDA and Sainsbury's. A typical large Tesco store, where you go in through a sheltered car-park and then up a high gradient walkway into the main store, there is also a lift if you prefer which is right by the Costa Coffee location which is inside the store. The store could do with some TLC from some areas to match the modern, large, grand exterior with the slightly outdated interior. The selection in most areas was pretty good, they had a great selection of branded ready meals and soups but this came at the expense of their Tesco Finest selection, which I actually prefer. While they had a fantastic selection of booze, I do find their to-go food range was a little disappointing, most other areas were average/good. Scan as You Shop Facilities are offered by this store, like most big supermarkets now, they also have the newer, more modern scanners (only in a selected number of stores) which I find are cooler and easier to use, making your shopping experience much quicker. The staff are friendly too. 4* - My favourite out of the supermarkets in Burnley town centre, not a bad Tesco location for sure.

So if you are looking to do a full shop, forget it). I'm still getting used to the grocery superstore milieu in the UK, but thus far I'm firmly in the Tesco camp. They have better deals, a better selection (well, the bigger ones like the Burnley location does anyway), and a healthy book aisle. Truly one stop shopping, Tesco is a discovery waiting to happen. One criticism of this location in particular is that they keep moving things-- it may not seem like a huge deal, but when you're used to finding your, oh, minced turkey in one place and then all of the sudden it's not there anymore, it's a little off-putting. Also, they stop carrying things every so often. Not just run out of it-- just completely stop selling it, without warning or notification. Like Method hand soap and Tom's toothpaste. Who's with me to join the campaign for consistent products at Tesco? (Or at least to get them to keep carrying the stuff they used to sell?). In any case-- yay, Tesco!

The supermarket is huge and they offer everything from baby clothes/adult clothes/kids clothes to food and electricals. Their prices are usually below average which is good. They do some really good offers and also if you use the tesco reward card you end up getting some really good rewards the more you spend. They have a brilliant choice of food - be it fresh, ambient or frozen and they are all at reasonable prices and there is loads of offers to be had. The supermarket is always clean and well stocked. The staff are in the main very polite and hard working. There is a large carpark and a small eating area for goods bought instore, there are also some baby changing facilities but unfortunately no toilets.

It's a cheap, magic, slapdash place. I still won't be shopping for all my regular bits there, as it doesn't quite work for a whole shop in one, but I will be going in for cheap surprises. The queues are a bit of a hassle; I agree with Chris in that there's quite a pressure to get your goods packed up and out of the way in Superman-like speeds (which I always fail) but other than that it's grand. I really like Sainsburys and it's not as expensive as people make out it is…read more It's nice and big and there is a clothing section which holds clothing for adult women (Including larger sizes such as 22) and men, children, babies and underwear for all. As I have a large bust area I find it hard to get bra's that fit, but they do my size :) 42F and I think they go a bit higher too and they're about £6 so you can't complain at all :) Went to the cafe last night with my two kids after they'd finished their martial arts class and I ordered them the kids Chicken Dinner. It was chicken, potatoes, carrots, peas, yorkshire pudding and gravy. I was a bit shocked to find that the chicken, potatoes, carrots and gravy was all in one. I had asked if one of the plates could have chips instead of potatoes to then be told that they couldn't do that as it came with it all included in one pot/tub. Masons one didn't include that much chicken and infact he didn't eat it all. I ordered the homemade battered cod and chips and the cod came back dripping in oil! So much so that I had to use 2 napkins to blot away the oil and it was still oily. So not at all to my taste. I'll carry on shopping here but I think I'll avoid the cafe for their food.

When the breakfast arrived it looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a couple of hours. The beans were luke warm, had a hair in them, and a shrivelled up processed pea. The bacon was dried out and very hard, a bit like jerked beef. There was a bit of bone in the sausages. The toast and hash brown were warm, just. But had all traces of crispness removed. The egg looked a little sad. All in all, very disappointing. I won't be repeating the exercise.

I didn't get the ladies name but she had black hair with tattoos on her arms . a great credit to adsa this lady is .
