I broke my hip really recently and although I can walk with crutches it can be really difficult when the floors get wet especially after a downpour and I didn't want to risk another fall so I asked the gentleman in customer services if I could have a motorised vehicle to give me independence. Yes he said I will get someone to get a key for you.....fabulous I said ...I will wait over here. Nothing, not even after 15 minutes. I risked walking round - needless to say I didn't get much - I didn't get anything at all in fact because I couldn't carry it. I became totally dependent on others. At the heart of the 'heads of the valley road network in south wales, this store could not have been situated any better. It has everything that a large Asda superstore has to offer, the store (of course) petrol station, and car wash. Inside the store there is an upper floor which houses all of the George clothing aswell as a photography centre on the fround floor. there is a good selection across the range and the store is always well stocked, The store workers are always on the go and are happy to help whatever task they are undertaking. the only slight down side to the store is the not so fast express check out systems, there are always errors on the screens and barcodes take a lifetime to register read more

A large branch of the Asda branch located close at the top of the heads of the valley road by Dowlais Top. Lots of tills so you never have to wait long. Plenty of parking spaces although they do get filled at peak times! They stock everything here from food to George clothing range to electricals. Staff are always friendly and happy to help you find products. read more
