I needed a wax ring replaced last October. ASAP definitely responded quickly and did the job. However, they apparently identified when it was being replaced that I needed a new flush-o-meter. I know nothing about plumbing, so had to just take their word for it and pay much more money for the extra parts and labor. Much more than I'd thought I'd have to pay. They also suggested a new toilet, but come on. I couldn't just keep shelling out cash. During the process, Mingmar seemed to lose patience and her decorum went a bit out of the window with me. Didn't always find my dealings with her to be kind. After the job was done, I noticed the toilet didn't flush well at all. Without too many gross details, I literally have to hold down the flush for several moments to make sure it's all clean. And because of this, a foul odor has started emanating from the toilet every. single. day. I've lived in this unit for over 10 years and never had this issue. Thats why when i turned on the breaker to give it 80 amps, it tripped the main circuit and shut down my entire apartment. You think because you have so many positive reviews that I am wrong? Udi and David did a great job for me today. I was suspicious of my electricity. One of my light switches burned out and the super said he would repair it, but since that had to be scheduled for later 'or you can do it yourself', time started to tell what was going on. Since light switches are easy enough I did a DIY repair, only for the circuit to short again and this time not come back on. I called the electrician as this seemed like a bigger problem. And it kind of was as now I was in the dark since one breaker controlled 90% of my apartment - lights, refrigerator. Udi answered my first call. I texted him my address. His guy was here in an hour, diagnosed the problem. Got the pieces they needed, and conducted the repair right away. We talked to my building and management approved the charges. When my super gave them a hard time about opening the basement to see the building's electrical system, they did their best to get it done. Sometimes patiently, sometimes a little more persistently. Despite it taking extra time they stuck it out. They restored me to light!! And even offered the strategic touch of putting in multiple breakers so that moving forward I wouldn't have 90% of my electricity through one breaker, (this was approved) and so now I am in better shape so should anything weird happen, I will not be in such a desperate situation. Thank you Udi and team. It is so great for people to simply Do Your Job. It sounds easy, but it really was a great thing to have these guys show up and get the job done and make my apartment better for today and for the future. They are direct, doers. Udi and his guys are the greatest. Here's our story. We had a mysterious slow leak in our NYC apartment that damaged our wood floor--blackened it and made it buckle. We had plumbers and flooring people come in to look at it. The plumbers couldn't figure out the source of the leak & recommended that we just start demolishing our walls and floor until we found it. We passed on that idea. The flooring people told us that the leak had stopped and advised us to re-floor the area. So we did. But the leak hadn't stopped. Their new flooring was blackened and buckling within 6 months. Two thousand down the drain. Finally we found Udi and ASAP Solutions. Within an hour of arriving in our apartment, using a logical process of investigation grounded in experience, he and his guys found the source of the leak and stopped it. They worked with us over a period of six months to make sure everything stayed dry before they would even consider re-flooring. And when they finally did it it, they did a careful, good-looking job. I needed bath and kitchen sinks / faucets replaced and a shower upgrade to a modern, one-handle shower mixer. Some shower tile also needed to be replaced. Udi was the only contractor who recommended using mosaic tile. For the other contractors it was "my problem to figure out". This was a great idea and the mosaic tile looks nice bordered by the existing white tiles! The price quoted was reasonable and I had spoken to 5 different contractors before getting ASAP Solutions' quote. Honestly, this plumber was not great. The work was deficient. Udi sent a trainee to repair my shower fixture and he clearly didn't know what he was doing. The "more experienced" plumber waited outside in the truck because there is no parking in Manhattan. When he was called up to the apartment to help, he was rude and impatient. Unfortunately I cannot recommend ASAP Solutions. I contacted Udi about a broken outdoor hydrant. He determined via photos that a replacement part was needed and would be cheaper than replacing the entire hydrant. He sent some guys to pick up the broken part 2 days later. I heard nothing for 10 days, so I reached out and was told they were still looking for a way to fix it and needed another week. After hearing nothing for another 2 weeks, I reached out again, providing a link to what I thought was the correct replacement part. I received no response. I waited another week and asked that he return my broken part if he couldn't help. I received no response. It's now been over 5 weeks, I still have a broken hydrant, and no longer have the faulty part making it difficult to hire a new plumber. ASAP? An ironic name for this company. read more
