I tried to reschedule but was only offered telehealth, which I declined because I thought it was just an option for that time. Unfortunately currently this is the only way I can speak with the provider. This is not good when you are struggling. I understand things come up but this has been going on for months. In addition the communication and call backs are not good. This is not an issue with one provider but all their pracitioners I have been scheduled with since day one. Very concerning!

From the very first session, she created a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space that made it easy to open up and feel truly heard. Angelica brings a rare combination of professionalism, empathy, and insight to her work. She takes the time to listen carefully and offers thoughtful guidance that feels both practical and deeply compassionate. Her approach is collaborative, and she consistently meets you where you are while gently helping you grow and gain new perspectives. What stands out most is her genuine care and dedication. You can tell she is deeply committed to her clients' well-being and progress. Each session feels purposeful, and I always leave feeling more grounded, understood, and equipped with tools to navigate life's challenges. If you're looking for a therapist who is attentive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in your journey, Angelica is an excellent choice.

Furthermore, they need more psychiatrists whom understand pharmacology instead of black box warnings or mind control they received as a nurse. I needed a compassionate person with the ability to understand overall general physiological things that accompany someone dealing with multiple life altering events and chronic pain. For example I have severe pain but have taken medication for over a decade and a half to address it. It just so happens to be an anti-anxiety medication. The judgmental nurse practitioner I have that clearly hasn't, and refuses to, look at my medical history over the last 10-15 years and their lack of pharmacological experience has been one of the many factoids of why I essentially lost my mind and had to file for a medical extenuating withdrawal from my college. My old doctor retired and I needed to find another but I had 0 idea I would be subjected to what goes against safe and effective tapering (on a medication I do not even need to be tapered off simply because they are young, judgmental, inexperienced, and honestly cruel). I strongly urge you to find a different practice if you want actual care from someone with a doctorate degree who has an additional 4-6 years of experienced as required by law (likely explains why the only ones who treat me properly are actual MD's licensed in psychiatry and puts an emphasis on how important those extra years of schooling are). This has ruined my mind, my spirit, and caused me tremendous psychological and physical pain that I cannot begin to express but the practice treats me using normative preconceptions about medical pharmacology and cannot seem to grasp how the mind and body are one when it comes to both pain and mental health. The things that happened to me since going to this place and having my medication reduced are beyond anything anyone would believe unless they witnessed it first hand. I am putting this here on the record and warning others to stay away from this place because they clearly are willing to break the law.

WARNING: WRITTEN WITH GREAT CONCERN. PLEASE READ WITH DILIGENCE AND PROCEED IN YOUR BEST INTEREST…read more After my psychiatrist from another office retired and my case was closed at that office, I was left to fight PTSD and severe anxiety without my medication or therapist. After two months of truly trying to adjust, but severely struggling being off prescribed and managed medication (Sertraline for transparency purposes), I decided to reach out for help since none of my calls to my former Drs Office had bothered to return any of my calls over the past two weeks [A long time and a lot of fight for someone in my predicament]. Unfortunately, I feel like my knuckles were quick-lashed when I reached out to Dr. Kantor's office today, Tuesday, October 30th, 2018 around 2:50pm. The receptionist who answered sounded like she was not doing well herself, to be honest. (I will keep her in my non-imprecatory prayers. Humour.) Good thing care is on the way. While our less than empathetic receptionist was quick to tell me that "We aren't scheduling new patients until 3-4 weeks out." Of which I quickly assured her was fine. Receptionist: Well, we don't accept insurance. Only cash or check. Me: Alright, that's fine. (I tend to research major services before I make appointments but...) R: Well, the initial visit is $325. Each follow up is $225. M: Alright. R: So what's bringing you in? I proceeded to explain the situation I referred to in the 1st paragraph. PTSD/medication management. R: Oh, WELL, we don't prescribe any medication during the initial visit. M: Yes, that's fine. ( No one ethical does...Im not looking for a fix. But at this point I feel more like I'm being spoken to like some sort of pill popper rather than the human being I am asking for help. Literally, an appointment.) R: Well, we need your medical records faxed over from your previous provider. M: (feeling pretty crest fallen) As a patient, I haven't even been able to get thru to to them for the past two maybe three weeks to get an appointment. What if I can't get a hold of them to fax them over? [And really, this should not be a burden of a patient in the position of ANYONE calling to make a mental health appointment. She could have asked me for the number and gotten thru as a provider. Way to task out your job, Lady.] Then miss receptionist proceeded to argue with me. How is this acceptable??? R: Um, no. You can get thru. They're a Dr office. Someone has to answer the phone. M: Oh no, they do. Then they put me on hold and transfer me to another person who doesn't answer the phone... R: No. Just tell them they need to fax the records over. M: Um...ok... Then without hesitation or even giving me the fax number, said receptionist hung up. I had no appointment, no fax number, and absolutely no desire to deal with a person/dr/Dr office to experience literal rejection for mental health care ever again. This is why people stop trying. This is why people give up. I won't. And I won't accept the thought of millions of other people in my situation being treated this way with much, much less fortunate outcomes without pointing it out. If this is how you're helping people, please, for the love of life, STOP. This helps NO ONE.

My experience was first that they don't have their act together administratively: did not return my first message left by phone (and they almost never pick up the phone anyway), have never responded to email, and when I finally did get scheduled for an initial appointment, they had me with the wrong doctor (I was seeking ketamine treatment; they put me under medication management), which resulted in a 2 week delay in getting in. The initial consultation itself, though, is why I have to recommend against this practice and is why I didn't pursue treatment through them myself. The meeting started out with Dr. Pollack grilling me about drug use as if I was just looking for an easy/legal high (quite frankly, the price of ketamine therapy being what it is, that's just ludicrous). He then went on to spout outdated and verifiably false information about marijuana and other drugs (e.g. he seems to be blissfully unaware of the latest psychiatric research into psychedelics and insinuated that cannabis could cause cancer), and then pushed a $200 brain-wave scanning test on me to ostensibly determine whether ketamine or TMS therapy would be better for me. I never received the results of this test. My biggest takeaway beyond these details was that I felt a distinct lack of empathy - or even sympathy - from Dr. Pollack, and for a treatment like ketamine where set and setting are incredibly important, I couldn't see him being able to adequately provide treatment. I did find treatment out of town with a much more competent and compassionate doctor, and that experience made me even more glad for my decision not to be treated at PASWFL.

This office is supposed to be for people who have mental health issues. HOW can you provide care for these people without ANSWERING THE PHONE?? What a shame! There is always an excuse for not answering the phone, or responding. I have never been seen any time near my scheduled time. It has been at least 40 minutes to 1 hour after my scheduled time. Every single appointment. EXTREMELY disappointed and will be taking my care elsewhere.
