Always happy to enjoy a discount to wonderful local productions. It allows me to go and enjoy theater more often.

This being downtown San Diego of course you need to plan ahead for parking, but there are plenty of Lots nearby and walking distance, one of them that leads right into the parking lot of the theater. One of the positive aspects of being downtown is that you have plenty of options for dinner before or after the show. Of course you may want to make reservations ahead. They always offer concessions, of different alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as little charcuterie board type items, and candy, Etc. Of course just like any other venue of this type, it is priced above what you would normally pay for those items. I always try to sit in the orchestra section because I feel there is more leg room, and I hate to feel cramped. The seats also seem a bit more comfortable in that section. I will say I honestly don't think you could have a bad seat in this theater though. The sound is usually fine, but I will say for Moulin Rouge I had trouble hearing what they were saying especially during the songs. I love that everyone is always so helpful when trying to find your seat, they will walk you to your section and show you exactly where you need to go, which is nice because it can get chaotic with so many people ushering in. Overall this is a great location and the shows they have are amazing. Definitely reccomend looking at the season and seeing what they have to offer, they're is usually something for everyone

There are plenty of seats and I was seated on the side of the orchestra towards the back. I had no view disruptions whatsoever. The bathroom was large and spacious and there were plenty of food/drink stations. There were also plenty of security and staff around so finding what you need and feeling safe was easy. I was blown away by the performance and I definitely want to come back to see other shows.. It was truly an amazing night. Thank you Broadway SD and Yelp Elite Squad for this great opportunity!

I went on the Percy Jackson & The Olympians panel. Truthfully, I only went to this panel so that I can get average seating to the Fluffy & Jokoy panel afterwards. During the Percy panel, we were able to see the trailer for the upcoming season coming out in December. It looked pretty interesting & I may check out Season 1! Fluffy & Jokoy were funny as usual. They did highlight their collab show next year in the SoFi stadium. All the guests who attended scored free Jokoy & Fluffy merch! Total score! Now I have to say that going to the panels was a pain since you have to go outside the convention center to enter back in again through some winding lines before you enter the event area. Then obtaining the merch was a long trek to The Hilton, good thing it wasn't too hot that day! Since I was already there, obtaining my merch, I did donate some blood and got some more free merch & snacks. Needless to say, more than half my day consisted of free merch! Not bad! Since I went on Thursday, I did walk around and bought some signed merch from voice actor Bryce Papenbrook, who was super nice! I also saw the Lego SD Comic Convention Center which was insane! I loved the outside and the inside of this setup. It was noticeably not as crowded this year as opposed to previous years. I did enjoy the cosplay but sadly didn't have enough time to partake in the outside con events this year. Will definitely be back again!

The vendors were all so cool in the exhibition hall. There were definitely many that stepped up the experience of us attendees. I was hoping to win a raffle (ANY RAFFLE) this year but that did not happen. There was so much to see, so many things to do, and so many good vibes going on this year. There was even a music festival at the Rady Shell outside on Friday, with a ferris wheel and rides also out there. The Marriott Gaming rooms were great. My feedback is that they need MORE PINBALL Machines because it was a 20min wait for a pinball machine in Salon 18. I have to say that the whole process was very well organized and very well planned. I am bummed that I missed George Lucas and Queen Latifah's panel. Also, I was also disappointed that I missed the Abbott Elementary Cast Panel. I really hope that they come back next year.

"Broadway San Diego 2016-2017 Preview Presentation & VIP Party was Fantastic ! "…read more My wife and I were invited to the 2016-2017 Broadway San Diego Preview Presentation and VIP Party a week ago at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, and we had a great time !. My wife and I have been President Club season ticket holders at Broadway San Diego for several years. Every year Broadway San Diego has a special invitation only Preview Presentation and VIP party for President Club members. The purpose of the event is to view the entire up coming and new play schedule for the next Broadway San Diego Season. The presentation was hosted by Barbara Lee Edwards from KFMB Channel 8 news. After watching a short preview of which plays that were going to be featured for 2016-2017 season, we listened to live performances by singers from the Sound of Music, and the Lion King. Lead singer Tshidi Manye came all the way from New York City, just to sing the famous "Circle of Life" song to us. Tshidi's performance was breath taking ! After previewing the 2016-2017 season, the VIP Presidents Club members were invited up on stage for a very special party. The party included wine, champagne bars, and a magnificent collection of decadent finger foods, which were prepared by St. Tropez Bakery & Bistro. Everything was delicious ! Sarah Jordan the Senior President's Club Representative who my wife and I deal with the most, is Awesome ! Sarah is so professional and precise, as she has handled all of our wants, needs, and requests perfectly over the years. Sarah also played a large roll in the success of this event. Vanessa Davis, Sarah Jordan's boss, and who is Broadway San Diego's Groups, Patron Sales, & President's Club Manager, did a wonderful job organizing, and preparing everything for this Broadway Presentation and VIP Party. Broadway San Diego Vice President Joe Kobryner started the VIP Party off, by introducing all important sponsors and guests to the VIP Party members. Towards the end of the VIP Party, the director of Marketing and Business Development Carl Thompson, raffled off several very nice prizes for all guests in attendance. This night at the Balboa Theatre was Informative, Fun, Fantastic, and was nicely organized and executed by all Broadway San Diego employees. Great Job ! The Nederlander Group would be very proud of you !
